We booked this hotel knowing from reviews on other sites that there were few English and were told to expect higher standards than typical English all-inclusive resorts - we were not disappointed!
We have a 2 year old and a six month baby and it was the first holiday since the baby. We booked this hotel because of the self catering facilities for baby but when we arrived there was no microwave in our room - the reception staff couldn't help enough and changed our room - no problem. Room very clean, large balcony, view over pool - only negative was with maid service - could have been better.
The hotel has 3 excellent outdoor pools and certainly there was no problem with beds when we were there. Life guards at each pool which I have never seen before.
We didn't use children’s club as our little one was more than entertained at pools and 2 play parks but the entertainers always said hello and spoke excellent English.
Children’s disco was great and our daughter loved it, followed all actions and was even singing some of the songs by the end of the holiday, even though she couldn't understand a word. Nothing entertainment wise was in English so we couldn't understand the shows either but they are on late if you have children.
Food was excellent - so much choice each day and we were not bored of it by the end of the holiday - children’s buffet also and I am pleased to say this did not have just fish fingers and chicken nuggets on it - fresh veg, fruit, selection of fish and meats, rice, pasta every day.
Self service Beer, soft Drinks and ice creams were available all day in different bars and the bar staff were happy to give us a bottle of wine to take back to the room on a night - some all inclusive hotels can be funny about this.
All staff were friendly and made a fuss of the kids. Reception were very helpful if we needed anything.
We were disappointed to find that the hotel was not near the beach as read 25 m from beach - nearest usable beach is Cala Bona but the one at Cala Millor is much nicer. Hotel does run a bus every 20 minutes but this gets very full and you could wait a while for your turn. Taxi cost us 4 Euros each way, not exactly breaking the back.
We had a lovely holiday but we were the only English in the hotel. This didn't bother us at all because our kids are little but if you have older kids they would struggle to make friends because of the language barrier.
We would certainly recommend this hotel.

Just returned from 7 days stay at this hotel. Hotel, food, rooms all very good.
The main problem it is a German hotel, i.e. kids clubs in German, signage in German, entertainment in German, no English reps.
This was not mentioned on the reviews we read before we went. If you want to holiday with entertainment and a club that the kids can go to this is not the one for you.
Luckily we had an adjacent hotel with entertainment but no free drinks, as we were all inclusive!

My daughter 7 and I booked a one bedroom apartment - Port Riog - part of Esperanza Complex. I booked seperate hotel and flights and therefore needed some transport to hotel. Outside the arrivals were plentiful taxis and I paid around 70euros for the hour or so ride to the accommodation. Nice treat! At the accommodation there were three pools, so you could have the choice of quiet or entertainment. There were slides on two of them - great for the kids. The apartment was clean, contemporary, spacious and tidy. Plenty of room for us but no door on the bedroom if you are looking for privacy as a couple! The balcony was very large - a table and chairs and loungers can be accomodated on it. A door from the lounge and bedroom onto the balcony. The food was varied and tasty. There is a childrens seperate buffett, cutlery, cups etc but my daughter has a mature palate and pondered the choices from 'all' the buffett available, she never went hungry!! There is help yourself lager or soft drinks in the restaurant. If wine is more to your taste you pick a bottle of white/rose/red wine and if it is not finished it is kept for one more night with your room no on then thrown if not used at the end of the 2nd night. There was only one adult , remember?! There is internet connection with 4 terminals open 24/7. The kids club was great - lots of activities but the fact that it was mainly in german did not impress my english speaking girl. She only went twice and I felt that it was a waste of time as she could not enjoy it due to language barriers. The evening entertainment was all in german also as most of the clientele were german - not an issue apart from the fact that the language barrier made life more difficult and i was the only adult in our group. A chef did comment to me about me being English and strange that i was there. This did not ruin my holiday at all and I enjoyed it thoroughly. After a couple of nights of german enetrtainment (yawn) we ventured to the village of cala bona, a 10 minute walk. It had funfair rides, lots of restaurants, a lovely harbour and prom all the way down to callor millor. My daughter wants to go back this year and if I can find a hotel that has the same facilities within a more english language environment i shall be pleased to go. I have never returned to a resort as I feel the world is a large place so I was impressed with my first vivit to Majorca.
