have been back from my holiday for 1 week now and really wish i was still there, went on holiday with six friends and had a wonderful time, the setting of the hotel is marvellous rooms were good the food brilliant and the staff very helpful. We can all recommend the boat trips worth every penny, Jimmy who organises them was friendly and efficient and the owner of the boat and his family were exellent. We asked for a sea view and only had a mural painted on the wall however it was of a sea view so this didn't matter. Would recommend this hotel to anyone just be aware of the very rude russians who tend to barge into you at any opportunity.

To start with I have never complained about a hotel and regularly travel to Egypt so are used to indifferent food on holiday.
The choice and quality here is awful!
If you want chicken legs /chicken curry or sometype of chicken casserole all luke warm then this is the place to go!Cold chips sausage and burgers every meal for children.
We never had a decent hot meal all week if you read the worst reviews for this place then that is what we got.these are:-
1 Cold awful food with little choice no temperature checks done on the food cauliflower still had ice crystal on it
2 A la carte restaurant shut
3 Pizza/burger bar shut
4 No entertainment
5 Piano bar shut
6 Staff who didnot seem to care, as the hotel was closing
7 Restaurant staff would expect you to move out of their way
8 Road noise 24 hours a day
9 Paper thin walls even with ear plugs the snoring from next door was unbearable, other noises embarrassing
DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY UNLESS YOU WANT THE ABOVE
- Advice: Don't go May or October
- Board Basis:All Inclusive

having read the reports for this hotel i was pleasantly surprised that it was still operating when we arrived as i thought that i must have been closed down because of the conditions reported on this site.
guess what,i wasn't as bad as the moaners say it is.
yes it is dated and needs refurbihed and yes the food is not a'la carte and yes it is the worst "all inclusive" we have ever stopped in but that is because we have stayed in some brilliant all-ins around the world.in spite of all these points we had a lovely holiday and lets face it if i had paid more than 500 quid for the 2 weeks then i would have slated it as well.
it was spotless and the staff were good for the most part, the rooms were big enough and the slopes and steps gave us some much needed exercise after all of the laying around on the jetty we did.
there are many better hotels around icmeler(and i should know as we have stayed in many of them in our 9 visit to this part of turkey) but unless you are a right moaning minnie then you should have a good time here.

My mum, dad and myself went to Marmaris Park in 2009. WOW! amazing, only thing we can complain about is the slimy bar man! Chatting me up all week! YUK. BUT the food was lovely, a very wide range of food, good drink.. although couldn't have baileys.. had to be cheapy stuff from their country, not that it mattered once we'd drunk it. Lovely stay, entertainment and staff brilliant, sometimes abit boring but what do you expect! :D Really pleased, going back this year. Lovely pleasant stay and very happy with the money. The town wasn't too bad either, the entertainment going on there was good, especially one with a dwarf working there, funny as. Reccommend.

What you get here is a balanced review, good, bad and in-betwen. We have travelled to America, France Egypt, Spain, Greece, and Turkey a number of times and stayed in all manner of accommodation from basic pensions to a 5 star luxury penthouse suite in Vale Colorado.... please do not be put off by what you read about this Hotel and do not get sucked in to the "whining Brit on holiday" mentality, only too happy to complain but not actually do anything about it! To put this in perspective we are a family of three - 2 adults in forties and a 16 year old daughter. Our holiday was for a relaxing second holiday during October half term. Daughter has a back injury, husband poorly with chrons prior to travel and I suffer with knee probs - those that slate the steps and hotel layout are over exagerrating in my opinion. I guess if you are completely unfit (and believe me we saw some very overweight, loud, boozy families - first to complain about the food but always first in line)and want to do no walking at all, then this is not the place for you. Yes there are steps - 30 to the beach we counted, however there is an alternative route by pathway through the bungalows then approx 8 steps. Yes it takes longer but guess what...holidays are for taking things at a slower pace! The hotel is set in a wonderful location - tranquil and picturesque. It is on the side of a mountain amongst pine forest so guess what ...there will be slopes. But the hotel staff can't do enough for you - transport your luggage, move sunbeds, fetch drinks, assist you with whatever you need - if you need help negotiating some of the steeper ramps they would most certainly be only too willing. We had no problems with the language barrier. We arrived at 5 am after a late alterration to our flight times and unlike another hotel we dropped off at (which was closed and in total darkness), Marmaris Park gave us a warm welcome, speedily checked us in and helped - no "insisted" on carrying luggage to our rooms. The food is not a la carte and we did eat out - once for lunch (but only because we were having too nice a time to rush back) and once for our evening meal just because we fancied a treat and went somewhere really nice for a fish platter and a steak. Even though it was the last week of the season - there was plenty of choice, plenty of it and always something that we liked. No - you wont get full english and meat and two veg but remember It's Turkey not Blackpool (unless you go into Marmaris to an english restaurant like Natalies which is excellent - but then my advice is if all you want is English food - stay at home or don not go all inclusive. YOU DO HAVE a CHOICE)
On the health and safety - well it was spotlessly clean, rooms cleaned every day, bedding changed 2 or 3 times in the week and towel everyday if you wanted. The wiring is typical of Turkey but there was free air con for the warm days and you just had to ask staff to adjust it for the cooler evenings...There was always hot water and the shower was fine, not the most modern bathroom but more than adequate. Even 5 star hotels in Turkey suffer power cuts from time to time but even though we had a storm - there were no power cuts. The toaster (in someone elses review) was temperamental when people jammed it with doorstep sized slices of bread - all it takes is a little common sense and patience. My husband has a very fragile stomach - but we ate well, with no problems (unlike Egypt)Breakfast - various breads, cold meats cheeses, jams, honey , yoghurt, dried fruits, cereals, pancakes, beans (to go on do it yourself toast)Boiled eggs. Evening and lunch always chips rice and a potatoe dish or pasta to choose from, plentiful salad, chicken, burgers, a cassserole dish - lovely lamb and liver amongst them. Not great vegetable choice peas one day and cauliflower or carrots. Variety of Turkish pastries and cakes. I drank rose wine and my husband red- both perfectly palatable or waiters would make up "special" coctails from local spirits. Don't be fooled they taste like fruit juice but do have a kick after a couple. Out and about ...to get to Ichmeler the nearest beach and prettier town - took us 20 minutes slow amble, the road is along the beachfront - no traffic, flat but a torch at night might be useful as cobbles in a few places are a bit uneven. I did discover this...after a very pleasant evening and several glasses of wine - so self inflicted! To get to Marmaris the Dolmus is quick, cheap and convenient - it does get crowded but as they run every couple of minutes...there is no law about waiting for another one. Another option is water taxi. Both are preferable to a Taxi cab - the taxi ride scared us witless - my daughter clocked the speedo at 90 Km in a 30 zone, winding roads and then we got conned for an extortionate fare. Don't agree to metered cabs - they are rigged - you would think it would be more honest but the best way is to agree a price first. They will be reluctant, but then back down if you are firm. recommend bartering im Icmeler market, lazy days boat trip (we booked with Mr Tom just after water taxi point in icmeler) - super day swimming, plenty to eat - barbequed on board, beach stop, visit to Turunc. Was exactly what it said on the tin - a no hassle, relaxing day in the sun.
Back to the hotel in general - room was rather dark but then again it was in the middle of a pine forrest and it was October but as we didnt spend much time in the room it was not a problem. In summer it would be a Godsend, shading from the heat of the day. Balcony very small but then loads of other areas to sit and this time of year did not sit out on balcony anyway.
All in all good value, food and drinks at any tine of day, pleasant staff, loved using the sauna which was free, fab views, massages on site but not hassled. The weather wasnt great - 2 days of rain and only two really warm days...so would have been even better. Nice pool but to cold this timeof year. End of season so some facilities shut like the beach bar and beach restaurant and the evening entertainment could have been better - was non existant really. Some music in the bar and just generally socialising with fellow guests and bar staff. Again it depends what you want - for us it was nice to chill, take a stroll out in the evening and then come back to the hotel for a few drinks. Would I go back - yes, already considering May / June but not in the height of the season as the idea of lots of people drinking all inclusive alcohol all day, scrabbling over sunbeds and comparing moans about the food does not appeal. We met several nice couples all who had a lovely time and appreciated the time to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings but then there are always some that just make you cringe to be British as they are arrogant, rude and foulmouthed. Now if the staff could write a guest review...that would be interesting. Enjoy your holiday - keep an open mind, treat the staff respectfully and if you arent happy with something or you need something - just ask.

Thomas Cook rate this hotel as 4 star. I think they need to review that. Do not book this hotel. If you have a disability, eg, sight problems, difficulty walking, hip and back problems, asthma, have young children or are pregnant. This hotel is built on the side of a mountain. It has steps everywhere at least 50 leading to the beach (minus the sand) front. It has a few ramps and those are steep. The bungalows are very dark due to the large amount of tress on the mountain side. The drive leading from the main road to the actual entrance is so steep you will need and oxygen tank. The hotel is miles from any main shops or restuarants and you will need to get a taxi or bus to Icmeler or Marmaris but the buses are not suitable for people children and want to get them back in one piece. Health and safety is missing from this hotel even in it's basic form. Electric sockets are hanging off the walls. The toaster in the main buffet hall had a fork placed inside it holding up part of the interior. The foods is barely edible at the best of times but at breakfast it is disgusting. Unless you are a vegitarian and an olympic athlete I would not recommend this hotel. The staff are nice enough but the reception staff speak very little English. The whole place needs a major refurb. The only plus is the location the bay and mountains are beautiful.

After reading some people's reviews of this holiday, I wondered whether we had done the right thing by booking it. But all I can say is that we did. It's superb value for money. The staff were all so friendly and helpful we can't speak highly enough of them. The place was being constantly cleaned. As far as food goes, if you can't find something that you like, well I'm surprised. Lying on loungers under the pine trees takes some beating.

Having previously visited Turkey, we were lookinf forward to our return, and Marmaris Park was wonderful. We arrived in the early hours of the morning, proptly booked in, shown to our rooms, then taken to the restaurant where they had put aside a meal for us. The atmosphere was wonderful, food excellent, staff friendly and endearing and rooms clean and practical. Icemeler is a short but pleasent walk along the beach and Marmaris is 5 minutes on the Dolmus (bus) for just 80p. We loved every minute of our 2 week stay, and must praise the Entertainment team for their attention and smiles!! Cant wait to go back at end of Sept this year, I would and have recommended this to many friends.

My husband and I have been to this hotel 4 times now and were going back again in 3 weeks, this time with our 14 month old daughter.
I can't praise the staff at this hotel enough, there the most helpful and friendly we've ever met.
The food is always lovely with many choices. It's always clean and tidy.
The views are amazing, especially if you take a walk along the coastal path into Icmeler.
The pools are great and again always clean.
The entertainment is good, during the day you can get involved in the pool games and in the evening there is entertainment at the Panarama bar, the Turkish night is fab.
I can't think of a single fault with this hotel, it's just great!
Highly recommended/

We visited this hotel 2 years on the trot ( as did other families we saw again). The hotel is lovely, so picturesque.
The staff really put themselves out for you. The food was a dream, the restaurant manager preparing butter & ice sculptures several times.
The 'local' booze is great. Can't speak highly enough. Much enjoyed by all ages. The spa & hammam downstairs is a must.
I really miss it & would return annually but I want to give my boys many holiday experiences so it will be a few years before we return.
