Victoria Wells Forest Cabin Motel
, Llanwrtyd WellsVictoria Wells Forest Cabin Motel Reviews
Having joined 56 other motorcyclists from TVAM Wokingham for a 2 night group riding trip in Oct 2011 I was really pleased with the accomodation in the log cabins. The bed was really comfortable and the cabin warm despite it being October. The restaurant food was simple but VERY GOOD (especially given that they had to serve 57 hungry bikers) The service and welcome was second to none and I can't wait to return.
- Advice: The roads in Wales are brilliant and more bikers should use this as a base.

I've stayed at Victoria Wells twice with a bunch of friends, in April and October, and it was ideal. The location is lovely and we could visit lots of other places around Wales from this base. The cabins are basic but more than adequate and we didn't use much money in the meter even though we had the heating on. I love the powershower! I thought the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was nice with enough alternatives on the menu. It is excellent value and we had a great time. We're looking forward to going again in October 2011.

We have been to the cabins three times now and
We are about to book again. It is in a fabulous setting, lovely cosy cabins, great food and drinks available in the evening. As well as great walks it is surrounded by places of interest just a short drive away, if you get tired of walking.

I came to Victoria Wells circa August 2009 with my rescue dog PIP.
I did not expect the quality and service thatb i received.
This was far above the level that i was expecting and i found my few days stay most enjoyable. I would have re visited last year, however, i was unwell at the time i would have revsited. I want to come again this year. I love going into Brecon to the Jazz Festival and to visit many lovely places.
The staff are very good, the food excellent.
I an now retired but previously was a Regional Customer Care Manager, For an International House Buildr, so l know a little about , quality, Service etc.
Well Done.

would not go there again double booked us when we arrived manager was not very help full, had to cut short our weeks holiday to 2 days cabin we were given my garden shed is better, meals was like been back at school i get one weeks holiday ayear and it was spoilt
I was very surprised to read about these comments about double booking; a computerised booking system was introduced over two years ago to support our manual system to ensure that this type of incident does not happen. It is regrettable that "nero" did not give a date of the incident to enable the matter to be investigated. I have discussed the matter with the current manager who has been involved in the day to day management of Victoria Wells since 2008 and has no recollection of the incident. The management and staff at Victoria Wells pride themselves on the service they provide to guests. Since January 2008 a considerable amount of money has been invested on renovating the facilities at Victoria Wells and it is unfortunate that potential guests may be base their opinion on one adverse comment, from an unknown date, considering the favourable reviews we have received since undertaking the renovation work.

We have been two years, this year will be our third time. We love it here, the staff just cant do enough for you! There is good home cooked food, and a well stocked bar if you want a drink in the evening. And we love it that we can take the dog. The donkeys are very friendly too! They come right up to your front door!! Plenty of places to visit, we love it here!!
- Advice: very quiet, so not good for children, but good for walkers and dogs!!!

we have been to victoria wells motel twice befor, the last time being 9 years ago. then we had our 2 young sons and my elderly mother with us. my mother has spoken many times about the superb food and friendly staff. this time it was just my wife and myself, again the food was of a very high quality and the staff very helpful.the cabin was very cosy and with the heater on low during the night stayed very warm indeed. if you want to have a very quiet and relaxing time with great food and fantastic scenery we cant recomend this motel enough. we plan to visit again in early 2011.

What a lovely place, cabins basic but very clean and comfortable. All the staff were friendly, food was amazing something for everyone. Not really for children due to lack of things to do, excellent for dog lovers and walkers alike.
Thank you to all the staff see you next year.

The previous review was spot on.Six people in our party in 3 lodges, ages from 25 to 56. All had a great time, ok it's basic but clean and everything worked-we've been in hotels where that cannot be said. Good food, and the (longer) walk to town was very enjoyed. We had been advised the swimming pool was not working, but take your walking boots and enjoy the locak hospitality. Elec coin meter no problem and we only spent £4 between the three lodges. Total cost for six was £660-not bad for cooked breakfast and three course dinner included!
All staff helpful, donkeys no problem-indeed a source of amusement. When one couple held up by traffic and missed dinner they provided FOC packed lunch. When reviewing ensure your aspirations are realistic for what you are charged-all 6 of us said we would go back-surely the "acid test" of service qulaity ?

this christmas 2011 will be the fourth christmas we have stayed at victoria wells, last christmas we tried another log cabin in the lake district and although this cabin was far superior it lacked the atmosphere that victora wells has, it's great you don't have to worry about food shopping and cooking you can just sit back and relax with your dog and enjoy the views, i love the evenings in the bar and the quiz nights were great.i am looking forward to my christmas holiday and seeing the donkeys again i love it and i am usual hard to please i like the good things in life and although the cabins are basic they are adequate and don't forget some people take two or three dogs with them , we have a tiny yorkshire terrier and she loves it can't wait.
