Me and 6 of my friends went on our first girls holiday in august and stayed at Hotel Olympia. were slightly worried after reading reviews but would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone :)
The rooms were really nice and clean, the pool was the biggest we saw and the food at the hotel bar was quite nice and really cheap, although we went to a place down the road for food almost every day. Think it was called pythari or something, definitely go there it was great!
Were told we'd be charged for any damages in our rooms but got rave paint on the towels and they didnt make us pay. Also the owner lent us a key for the room when my friend was asleep in there and saw us with alcohol in the room but didnt take it off us, though got told to keep the noise down on most nights!
On the last day we had to wait ages for the coach without a room but there were showers downstairs by the pool and could leave our cases in the hotel so they were safe.
the rep tried to get us to buy nights out which we did and were really expensive so would say dont bother, you can have a really good cheap night without doing any of the arranged ones! Almost everywhere they had deals like 2 shots and 2 cocktails for 5 euro.
Would recommend staying in this hotel if you go to zante, it was an amazing holiday!! :D

nice and basic really what you expect for an 18-30s hotel

basically the first day we ( me and my boyfriend) got their we had to give one passport per room and they kept it until we checked out of the room coming home. the rooms are pretty basic no tv or luxury bathroom. the bathroom had a shower head but no stands for the shower head so you had to stand their washing yourself while holding the shower head. they charge you for stained towels or curtains or anything so be careful they are really strict. the pool area was really nice though, they play music through the day noone makes a mess round the pool area neither and they have a 24 hour bar. and serve food all day until about 10 i think. you have to pay 50 euro for air con a week and 20 to hire a safe for a week the safe is well worth geting as people got stuff stole in other rooms. rooms are clean and maid changes towels twice a week i think , they do a good job of cleaning the rooms, overall good hotel just very basic which is what you need for an 18-30s hotel. and a local supermarket across the road to the right which is handy for snacks and drinks :) and nikos does brilliant breakfast !! would reccommend for couples only in september when its quieter to livley rest of year !

Good but one incident spoilt it

The hotel was clean and quite nice.
I would say unfair with regards to charges, for example there was 4 of us in 2 rooms and as we were leaving the hotel at 4am we kept one room on for the extra night just so we could get changed and keep suitcases safe etc. They charged 40 euro's but also wanted another 40 for keeping the other 2 people's cases and for them getting ready in the room.
One night I got mugged literally outside hotel, the receptionist on the night was horrible to me and for 40 minutes did not believe we were stopping at hotel and took our key off us and would not check til last minute if he had our passports, and after being mugged really treat very poorly by the receptionist.
Overall hotel was quite nice but charges and receptionist on the night was terrible.

Me and a few friends went to Zante in the 1st week of June this year. The hotel room 210 was burgled clean, and security systems was pointless CCTV hardly works and is not clear. After the incident the Hotel Staff was unhelpful, and the rather Large lady who is apprently the hotel owners wife accused us of robbing are own things... OK. The hotel stuff was acting really werid, i wouldnt not be surprised if it was the staff who burgled my room. They are sneaky people do not trust none of those workers.

went to zante with a big group of friends in july, it was our first girls holiday and we all had such a good time, the holiday was made a lot better by the hotel.
we read mixed reviews before coming here so we weren't sure but it turned out to be amazing
the pool was wicked, one of the best hotel pools on the strip from what we could tell, it was big and spacious and there were loads of sun loungers. 18-30 hotel so music playing during day, some days there were a lot of people by the pool, others hardly any, most people slept during the day and partied at night! as it was 18-30 people got back from a night out about 4/5 am and a lot of us sat by the pool/bar and just chilled, it could be quite noisy but even in rooms just above the pool you could hardly here it
cleaners were good- on the 4th day they came and our room was a tip and they tidied it up completely, put things back in suitcases and stuff, really helpful
key system was good- leave it behind desk as it is manned 24/7 so you dont have to worry about losing it- they even let you quickly take the spare key if your friends asleep in there
annoying thing- 20 euros to bring someone back, but it is that in other hotels as well
bar and food were good- cheap and tasty, we ate most dinners there.
1830 excursions- do the free bar ones although they take you on a bar crawl and get you hammered before so you can't take that much advantage of it! twice as nice good, thats all we did. heard the booze cruise wasnt good tho, no free booze at all! we did white party as well, amazing location but drinks stupidly expensive! not worth 25 euros a ticket
defo go to hotel olympia again :)

Better than expected

Very nice hotel, especially compared to others in the area. As previous reviews detail, make sure you let them know if anything in you room is damaged straight away so you don't have to pay for it at the end. The staff are very friendly and the food and bar is priced decently (full english is 3.50). You can't eat your own food or drink around the pool area unless it's water. You can eat your own food in your rooms, each room has a little fridge. Strictly speaking, you can't drink alcohol in the rooms but we always did, just make sure you conceal it as you bring it in. If you're inclined to bring people back to your room ;) there's a 20 pound charge for them to come in. Don't bother to try and sneak them in, Christoff the receptionist will chase you!
Overall had a very good stay, the pool is really nice and I wouldn't really have anything to complain about :)

-lovely pool
-plenty of sun loungers
-friendly staff
-clean rooms including fridge and kettle
-report any damage to rooms as soon as you arrive, otherwise they may blame and charge you at the end of your holiday (for example a part of our fridge was missing, and we let them know straight away)
-safes on reception and air con available, but we didn't find it necessary
-the beach at the end of the strip wasn't very nice, but the hotel has the best pool that we saw
-excursions - only really worth it if they offer a free bar, otherwise we felt a bit ripped off
-white party - sunday nights, really beautiful area but drinks are overpriced
-overall the hotel was perfect and met all our needs, and even though we did ruin some towels they didn't make us pay in the end
-ideal for 18-30!

hotel was as i expected 3* great pool good reps etc but i felt what let it down was hotel management - charging for absolutely everything dirty bedding, towels and even 5 euros if u leave ur key in room and need them to get off there fat bum to let u back in (easy mistake trust me). other than this i had best hol of my life no thanks to hotel but to my company, i met loads of friends>couples singles all young but also very fun....... laganas is the seedy part of the island but most fun, if u go to havanna beach (laganas) you will love it there. i recommend hiring car, bike, boat whatever and seeing the whole of the island cause believe me its my second time it is absolutely beautiful i would go again but maybe stay else where

I have just come back from zante today and im missing it already!!
We booked through thomas cook 18-30 and it was the best holiday! Loved it.
Hotel rooms are basic-but u why would u need anything more? All you need is a bed and a shower sortedddd. Just make sure ya check ya room over first and let ya rep know if anything is broken else u will get charged. Pool is wicked, one of the biggest around. 24 bar-cant get better! food is nice aswell.
Hotel is like a 2 min walk from where the restauraunts start and the bars and club start about 5 mins away and go down all the way to the beach-so your in the middle of everything!
Id say book with the 18-30s as if u were booking through another agent its a bit quiet in september - definatly pay for the rep events - well worth it, u can get them down to a lower price as well if u bargain with them.
Highly recommend the booze cruise and the free bar events!
Make sure u take rave stuff and a school shirt or somethin else u will have to buy them there!
if u want to save money there is supermarket opposite and one down the round and u can get cheap drink from there. just dont make it obvious its in your room!
Overall i loved this holiday, i went too faliraki a couple of months before which was also wicked but no where near as much as this!
Also the lads are fittttt, lol.
Wouldnt recommend to families at all, or for a romantic holiday as a couple, but anyone who like to party hard and get wasted every night then this is the place to be!
Love it!

I would highly recommend the olympia for your 18-30 stay. its located just at the end of strip and is about a 5 min walk to the start of the main night life and clubs. Its not a quiet hotel being by the side of the road but im sure its a lot better than ones further on the strip. The reps are great and make you feel really welcome. We were told not to do the packages but we did them and our holiday wouldnt have been half as fun if we just hit the same clubs every night. I recommend; anything with a free bar, booze cruise, school disco night & silent disco. We also did the white party and ultimate party which arent part of the 18-30 and didnt find them very good (and white party is SO expensive).
I was suprised at how clean the hotel and pool were, i had one or two too many one night and was rather ill in our bathroom, i left it all day to clean up later and when i got back the cleaner had been in and done it for me! We never had any issues with theft and our ipods etc were out on the tables whilst our rooms were cleaned. Its not the most secure hotel for room keys however, you put your key behind reception but to get it back all you do is ask for it and you can ask for any key and they will give it to you. You will need a safe for vitals such as passport and ins docs and money!
Rooms are basic, 2 beds, toilet, shower, fridge & priv balcony. Air Con is 50 euro for the week but we didnt get it, you just get used to always being hot.
Showers are cold during peak times but if you use them early enough they are fine, some older rooms like ours dont have shower head holders but we took a portable one (called a SHUC) which i recommend you google and take as it saves so much hassle!
All in all i highly recommend you use this hotel!!

Last summer we stayed at the Hotel Olympia and were told by our reps that it was one of the best hotels in Zante, they weren't far off. If you're looking for a hotel that is far enough away from the strip to be able to get in a few hours of sleep at night, but close enough to get to everything you need within 5 minutes then this hotel is for you. The pool is the biggest in Laganas, and the pool-bar is ideal for chilling ot during the hot days. Decent food too if you can't muster up the energy to venture onto the strip for a bite to eat. The staff seemed laid back and the communal hotel areas were always kept clean. Rooms are basic, but that's standard for a Greek island. We had a slight problem with ants, but that was more through the fact that we were 19 year olds lads, and cleanliness wasn't top of our priorites for the week rather than it being the hotel's fault.
All in all, can't find many faults with the place. If you're looking for mad nightlife, chilled out days and a civilised hotel with a massive pool and decent staff then Olympia wouldn't be a bad shout. I'd defo look into staying there if I ever went back to Zante.
