A Christmas market coach holiday to Lille with an included day trip to Bruges and optional trips to Ypres and Brussels, this is not for the faint hearted traveller.
The initial coach journey to Dover is a long haul and exhausting but the crossing and continental coach travel are quick and comfortable. Very well informed tour guide and superb coach driver both with a sense of humour and boundless energy.
The Saab Hotel is functional but the staff (Thierry Saab is the proprietor) are exceptional.
The breakfasts are excellent with a continuing supply of good food and drinks on a serve yourself basis. Evening meals are available and are good quality. The Metro station is a few yards away with a regular, clean and efficient service to the town centre and outskirts.
Lille itself offers a superb shopping centre with restaurants, bars and cafe life. The recently built EuroLille shopping centre is superb and has a large Carrefour supermarket over 2 floors.
