Stella Village Hotel

Just returned from stella village, so glad to get home. on arrival we were put in a room with tiny beds, the bedroom part was approx 8x10 with two small old single beds. lights with bare bulbs.unpainted single plywood wardrobe...we were moved the following day by a very ignorant manager named demitrios, who explained that they were overbooked and that was a staff room!!! yet the 2 weeks we were there poor people were still being put in this room. The entertainment that fortnight was football every night except 2 nights...when we had 4 people badly miming to abba in clown suits, ?? and a magician...we didnt bother to see... the bar staff are only interested in you if you are young, sexy women or NOT BRITS...In fact if we were in england the staff would probably be charged with racial decrimination. There were aprox 6 english couples on site all but 1 couple over 45, and on talking to them the feeling wes the same the brits were mainly ignored and treated like lepers, At the bar on asking for 4 drinks of orange 2 glasses half filled were slammed down where i was told ''all you get no glasses'' while i stood there in shock he went on to serve the people next to me (french) with 4 drinks he then gave them a tray of nuts...i said ''may i have some nuts please'' he replied ''go buy some at the shop'' we reported him to the manager to no avail...the only drinks on all inclusive are uzo, raiki, pop and beer , no local bacardi, vodka etc..the only food offered between meals is bad tosted sandwiches or cake..nothing else. The food is terrible only 1 type of meat and over 50 in the queue, one day the meat was SPAM NUGGETS!! another what i can only describe as findus crispy pancakes cut in half.another chicken wings.The dining room is no better than a cattle market..we asked to be moved and thomas cook offered us a hotel, find your own way there and pay 500euro...believe me we would have paid twice over, but on consulting the ''net'' we discovered that this hotel was in the side of a mountain, very hilly and quite a way out and the reviews just as bad as stella.We hired a car and went out and ate out..no other offer was made by thos cook.....top and bottom of it this place its full of french, russians and croations.and they are catered for!!..but they dont seem to like the british..i am over 54 years old and have travelled all over but i have never been treated so predujiced as i was here..THOMAS COOK / SUNSET REMOVE THIS PLACE FROM YOUR BROCHURE .anyone already booked take your driving licence.you will feel like you have escaped.They are building stella palace next door most of the people are in but they have to share the dining room and bar..stella palace looks very nice but you will prob have the same staff be warned!!!!!!
