ive just returned from this hotel and never again i was over 4 hours late getting to the hotel due to goldtrail cancalling my flight and having to travel from bodrum to daliman airport and then to the hotel on arrival I was told to go for breakfast as there was a problem with my room it was cold chips, after another 30 mins my room was still not ready and was told to go and sit by the pool so I complained that i would like my room. my room i was on the 8th street the staff did take my case to my room only for me to stand for another 10mins while they finished getting it ready, so was just dumped there there was no explanation of times for meals or that there was steps to get down to the resturant or pool, so i took the ramp for a couple of days, which you could not do as a woman in heels there are 224 steps . my room was cleaned but did not have clean towels or bedding once but was left a price list for them to laundry things. the hotel was full of russains who were rude and pushed in front of everbody for drinks food and everything (i was a single slighty older lady (in her 40s) and i didnt get served as one person has commented on) the entertainment was laughable as all it entailed was a tape recorder and 3 members of staff doing a little dance that lasted for 5mins every day. there was a heavy thunder storm one night and my whole room flooded on informing the staff the next morning there was no apology or enquire on weather any of my belongings had been damaged. the shop in the resort sold nothing i came back with money as there was nothing to spend it on. The food was very poor i lived on boiled egg and bread for breakfast and chicken so say it was all inclusive if you didnt drink vodka whiskey gin or lager there was nothing else as the wine was like vinegar and the only soft drinks were coke or sprite . I thought i would try a turkish bath and a free one was on offer but again as i wouldnt pay for a massage i was just showed a locker and left to it and as i have never had one wasnt sure what it entailed. i did try the town for trips as pervious people had advised but was told it was the end of the season so not enough interest for them to run the trips.i have been to turkey before and have always found the staff polite and helpful but not here and would not recommend this hotel at all

Just back from Caria.I am 70 yrs old and went there with my 45yr old daughter and my grand children- a17yr old and a 7yr old. We booked last minute so didn't expect to be lucky. As I couldn't manage the steps we were moved down to the 2nd level. On arrival I was astounded at the fabulous sea and mountain views .We all loved the huge pool and the complete layout of the whole complex. The staff were superb and the animation team exceptional. They worked so hard and I thought as good as any professional group. The whole complex was spotless and our large family room was cleaned every day. Food was plentiful and varied.Fresh bread always. Beef lamb chicken different stews fish rice pasta potatoes and copious salads much choice at dinner.Breakfast very good -cereals, 3min or 5min eggs ,toast, different fruits and yoghurts, cheese and kind of ham, coffee or tea on tap wonderful! If you want chips with everything this will not suit but the four of us always found plenty to eat . Some people will always want to find something to complain about.Spent time on the very good private beach My grandchildren loved it.The sunbeds were free and the food good at the beach bar so no complaints.Altogether we had a wonderful relaxing holiday and were so impressed with Sarigerme and Caria would highly recommend this holiday.Good value for money

I booked this holiday at short notice so took a gamble! My wife and I, my 16 year old daughter and 8 year old son.
Right, before I went I read the reviews! I thought god what have I done! So I promise to be totally honest with my review!
We arrived at the hotel at 5am after a two hour delay at Gatwick sitting on the Plane good start! Any way, no ones fault freak weather. So we get the hotel after a short taxi ride 55 lira not bad really and stunning location, I thought fantastic I did good here, but when it came to getting a room they told me that GOLDTRAIL hadn't booked us in Panic!! Although I had all the booking forms and bills charged to my credit card. After some heated discussions still no joy its now 6.45am, we were shattered by now and very tired and hungry they gave us wrist band and took us to the restaurant and we had breakfast well bread and cheese's, cornflakes and some strange stuff but there was something for all of us to eat.
We were given some towels and we sat around the pool which is lovely size and very clean but people putting towels out at 6 am! the next thing i know I wake up and it 46 degrees and the poolside is rammed. We go and see the receptionist and still no rooms there were also other families in the same situation NOT GOOD NEWS! Six families in fact and no rooms they tied to dump us in a 2* shack!! Then lots of arguments me demanding a full refund and internet access to book a hotel somewhere else seamed to work for us a room was allocated to us at last! now its 6pm great start to the holiday.
Now my review: -
Entertainment - it’s so poor it's funny in fact we laughed our socks off! Every night 5/10
Food - Poor really but it is edible mostly chicken, Turkey, Rice, salad, pasta and soup. We could find some to eat every night though. 5/10
Restaurant - Wet seats people come from the pool brits as well i have to say in soaking wet costumes its poorly laid out, not the cleanest table clothes, the Russians will steal your table even if you food is on your plates then to top it off DRINK YOU BEER! that you have just queued for if you leave it unattended 4/10
Bar - local wines and spirits were OK, the beer is rubbish its not Effas the service Terrible! But you soon learn to push in LIKE the Russians and Germans Who could spoil your holiday if you let them.6/10
Hotel - SPOTLESS fantastically clean can’t fault it there. Polite and helpful staff
Beach – Great Beach (private) and lovely little Snack Bar.7/10
Pool/ Aqua park - 9/10
Location - STUNNING 10/10.
But even after all this We had a lovely holiday my Daughter 16 met some fantastic friends and due to the safe location was able to stay late!! at the hotel nightclub and she loved the holiday as did my 8 year old son. We also met some lovely friends Adrian and Lorraine and daughters Zoe and Hannah. 10/10
BASKET TOURS -- Were Fantastic Kenyan, he is Brilliant and we had great Tours and very well priced 10/10. THe MUD BATHS Fantastic go for it!!!
All in all the holiday was about £22 once the flights were taken out, a night each for all you can eat and drink and Room with working aircon which was cleaned everyday clean towels and sheets. Which I think was good value for money.
So if you have booked expect a 3* hotel and you won’t be disappointed so dont panic
Would I recommend it? Well, if your fussy then no, but if you want a cheap family holiday I think it reasonable good value. My daughter want to go bak as well as my son.
TURKEY was Lovely and we will definitely go back. Haggle for everything it good fun dont pay more that 8 lira for sunglasses and £25 for fake watches dont pay no more £10 for three T shirts no matter what they say!
So Enjoy.
I hope this is helpful. But it is still only My families opinion!

Nice views and hotel buildings located in a nice resort. Unfortunatly there are not enough sunbeds or bar tables which when combined with pushy Germans and Russians the result is a scrum every morning to get a bed. The food is awful very strange foods mixed together and not at all Turkish. Our worst experience was when we found a maggot within a peach which turns out to be of a regular occurance. I travelled with three other student mates so please do not think we are fussy but even we found the food hard to get exited by. Pay a little extra and go elsewhere!
Nice sized rooms but basic, always cleaned to a good standard. The facilities of the hotel were dated and the water park I think is unsafe and has a landing pool which is far too shallow. I class the entertainment under features which is the worst I have every experienced.
Spa was a very confusing experience and charge high prices for treatments which the staff look hard pushed to deliver. My friends massage was even interrupted my a strange man who decided to lay beside her and chat her up whilst the staff did nothing - certainly not worty of the name 'spa' more public baths. Oh and pray you dont have a russin school trip there when you go the children are very rude and completly take over the hotel and do as they please - I dont think I even saw the teacher the whole week I was there!
Nasty food and no variety at all throughout the whole week, the only difference between breakfast and dinner was the cereal which replaced the soup - that was it!! Found maggots inside out fruit and ate some very strange flavoured foods most of which were covered in Paprika to mask the foul taste. DO not go here unless you don't care about having chilled out evenings taking dinner before relaxing at the bar as this is just not possible here. If you are already booked eat in Sarigerme its lovely!!
We did loads of trips through a local agent called Basket Tours (opposite to taxi station in the town) the Mud baths are great, and so is the Boat trip, the sea is beautiful, we also went to Fethiye market which was a real experience. All the excursions were really reasonable and the guides were so professional and friendly.

This was my second visit to Turkey and also to the Caria Holiday Resort. I find it a descent hotel which has seven levels of apartments. The rooms are basic but very clean but i wouldnt expect a quality firnished room as in my room, one of the wardrobe doors had come off, the hair dryer didnt work (so i recommend you taking your own)also take some travel plugs as they only provide one and with my family wanting to use electrical devices at the same time, it became difficult just handling one.
I wouldnt recommend this resort to people who have difficulty walking as there is alot of steps, especially if you are on the seventh floor, which we were on our very first visit. But you can get moved if you ask nicely at the reception.
The reception people are very nice and are always glad to help you if you are respectful to them, which as i have seen in my visits that most people are not.
I would say that this resort is fantastic for families and you can let your children rome free without having to worry about them. But if you are young and want a more upbeat holiday i wouldnt go to this one, as it is one where you can just sit back and be at peace ( well until the animation team start their daily games by the pool haha)
There are trips that you can go on which include mood baths, safaris, scuba diving and they are all a good price!
The evening entertainment was very funny, but you can expect there to be some nights were it is poor quality but you will still enjoy it alot.
The food was ok but i always feel like i come away with having eaten less even though i have had more meals than i would normally of had in a normal day. There was a full variety of food, but there was no real english food. But you should be happy that you come away healthier. Except if you eat ice creams all day (warning the ice creams are not free and the shop is quite pricey)
If you want any other information on the resort just ask. :)

The caria holiday resort is brilliant. we just arrived back a couple of days ago.we travelled in a party of 4 adults, 2 of which had never left ireland before. the staff are very helpful and if they are unable to help they find someone who can. on arrival at 1am , a member of staff drove us up the mountain to our room on the 4th street, he carried all our baggage also.and arranged for a maid to come and make the pull out bed for us. the family rooms are an excellent size and air conditioned. be warned there are a LOT of steps in the reosrt and while we were prepared for these they are very hard work in the extreme heat , but the view makes it worth it!!!! the pool has plenty of loungers and umbrellas - although like any other hol u must be up early!!! animation team are fab!! there is an ampitheatre where the evening show takes place. food - lots of veg and salads, fruit and turkey lamb etc. bus to beach is very useful , goes regularly!!! at beach caria has own area - free loungers and all inc. beach snack bar a tractor and trailer runs from beach to village all day!! village has lots of nice shops. HIGHLY RECOMMEND SARIGERME TOURS FOR BOOKING UR TRIPS !!( right hand side!) 12 islands tour great day out!! for eating out - u must go to paradise steak house far end of village - waiters brilliant craic. prices very cheap. market is good for bargains - quite pushy though!! but do haggle!!!! taxis up and down to village from hotel 10 lira each way. we got taxi from airport for 55 lira, more expensove going back - 80 lira!!!!! all in all fantastic weeks holiday. downside - the heat - it was 46 degrees in the shade!!!!!! lots of wasps on kaya bar terrace in evening. cafe turk balconey doesnt have any wasps!!!!!! would really recommend caria holiday resort - particulary as we got a brilliant deal!!! my parents who had never been abroad before loved every minute of it!!!!!! warning - toilets at beach are traditional turkish style - hole in ground!! be warned!!!

When we booked this hotel we didn’t really know what to expect as we didn’t exactly pay much to stay at this 4* hotel, but when we got there it was great!
Our room was on the bottom floor and the first room in the hotel which meant our balcony (which is a tad small) was facing the entrance to the hotel, so I would suggest that you either request a room with a good view or upgrade to a superior room as the views are beautiful and to good to miss out on! However that is the only bad thing about the room. The rooms were clean and large, as was the bathroom. A maid came to clean our room everyday (who was lovely) and we had fresh towels for the bathroom as well as towels for the beach and the pool which was changed every day (so you really don’t need to take a towel at all).
There are three pools and a spa area - all very nice. The loungers were very comfortable but do lay your towels down early to get a good spot!
The beach: I assumed that you could walk to the beach as the hotel says its 800m away (that’s over the cliff!). So you have to get the bus to the beach which came every half an hour which is fine. You can walk but it’s a really steep hill as the hotel is high up and in August it’s too hot to walk!
The hotel has a small bar on the beach as well as loungers and umbrellas! The beach is really beautiful, and there are watersports as well as boat trips which you can book on the beach. The beach only has bars belonging to each hotel along it, there are no shops at all but its worth going, the sea is wonderful.
The town: again you can walk into town (down the really steep hill) or taxi charges 10 lira. There isn’t much there; its a small strip of shops and bars as well as a market on Sunday which was good. But for better shopping its better to take a trip through the local tour operators.
We went on a great trip to fetye market with sarigerme tours, our guide Adnan was a really fun tour guide and as the resort and hotel can be a bit quiet I would suggest you book a few trips at www.sarigermetour.net. Obviously when you are at the hotel you can easily pop down into town and go to their tour desk book as we did. They speak great English and are really helpful and they will come to the hotel and pick you up and drop you home. I would also book the hotel through them as we found out after we could have stayed cheaper if we had booked through them.
I have to say the hotel surroundings are beautiful and this certainly is a relaxing place to go. The evenings did get a tad boring as most people just sit playing card games and the 'disco' was not on at all while we were there. So evening entertainment is limited to the Turkish night once a week.
We enjoyed our stay. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday in a great value 4* hotel with fantastic views and a good pool this is the place to go. If you want any kind of nightlife do not come here! I will be going back next time I am stressed out!

My wife and i arrived at the Caria hotel to be told that our room was not ready for us as the agent we booked with was at fault. We was told that we could use the all inclusive facilities at the hotel and when we was ready we were booked a taxi to another B+B in Sarigerme town and told to phone a taxi to be picked up in the morning.
We did not complain about this as we were in "holiday mode" and these things happen?! Anyway we awoke about 9am and asked for a taxi to be booked back to the Caria. Despite being assured constantly that we would just be waiting another 5 minutes again and again. we were left standing on a pavement without facilities for food or drink for 55 minutes. Eventually a mini bus arrived for us and i suspect (maybe my suspicious mind) that we were being stalled until after 10am as this is when the guests have to check out. We arrived back at the hotel again having to cart our suitcases around, to be told that our room was stil not ready, but to go for breakfast and come back. This time we did start to complain and to try to placate us we received a free massage.
When we got our room we vowed that our holiday started from that moment and went to unpack. We found ourselves on the fourth floor which is half way up. This was a bit of a struggle, but to be fair we knew we was booking a hotel on a cliff and the views were fantastic. We went to the beach where there is a hut owned by the Caria where you can get burgers and fries plus turkish breads, salads e.t.c plus all your drinks. The beach and sea is absolutely beautiful and peaceful and you cannot fault this.
The hotel was ok. It was clean and the pool was cleaned and hovered every night. The food however was cold and repetitive, and the staff cooking the bread outside only seemed to be motivated whenever there was a manager about. The lady on the upstairs bar at night also kept asking us to go back in 15 minutes, whilst she collected glasses or whatever. This bar also was a waste of time! Every time i asked for wine or vodka i got told finished! One day we had had enough of this and complained to the manger in front of other guests. Suddenly the drink that was finished was being served again. This is the only complaints.
The lads at the bar around the pool during the day were absolutely fantastic and the animation team were fun although we didn't watch a lot of shows at night (our choice).
You must go into Sarigerme town for a day or night out, and Sarigerme bar is excellent value for money for food. The karaoke here is fun too.
MWe also went on a few excursions with BASKET TOURS, these are on the left as you enter Sarigerme town. I could not recommend these tours enough they are absolutely fantastic. KEN and ALI were brilliant hosts and told us all about the Turkish culture and took us to some fascinating places. They must have been bored to death with our questions but always answered enthusiatically and these people made our holiday. Remember Basket tours they are fantastic.
I would definitely go to Sarigerme again. I would definitely go on a Basket tour again. About the Caria , honestly, you get what you pay for. Would i go again.............Never say never!!!

My wife and i went to the Caria in September this year. When we arrived we were told by the receptionist that our room had been double booked and we had to go to a bed and breakfast in Sarigerme. We were allowed to use the all inclusive facilities at the Caria and at the end of the night the hotel got us a taxi and said they would pick us up the morning after. We woke up the morning after at about 9am and asked for as taxi as we could not get breakfast or a drink where we was at. We was stood on the pavement for 50 minutes despite being told we were being picked up in 5 minutes over and over, personally i think they was trying to make us hold on until 10am ecause this is the time the other holiday makers have to vacate. We got back to the hotel about 10am and was told that the room was nw being cleaned and if we had a brekfast we should come back. At this point we started to complain and to placate us they offered us a free massage.
We spent the second day of the holiday on the beach which is beautiful and peaceful. You have your own little hut per hotel and stretch of beach just for the hotel, you can not fault this.
Back to the hotel, our room was on the fourth floor and this was a struggle but to be fair we did know we was situated on a cliff when we booked. Also the views are fantastic. The food in the hotel though we found was cold and repetitive and the staff only really seem motivated whenever there was a manager around. When we went to the bar for a drink in the evening we were frequently told that the drink we was requesting had run out (this was in the a la turk bar upstairs) but when we complained to the manager loudly in front of the other guests, they found another supply of the drink we wanted. The staff however at the pool bar in the day were fantastic.
We went on three trips with BASKET TOURS in Sarigerme and these tours were excellent value for money, i could not recommend them highly enough, they was FANTASTIC!!! Ken and Ali were brilliant and we learned loads of fasciniating facts about Turkish history. These people really made our holiday special and i would recommend BASKET TOURS to anyone, they are on the left hand side as you go into the street.
Also in the street is Sarigerme bar where you can gave a wonderful meal a drink and sing on the karaoke. To sum up i would not hesitate to go to Sarigerme again.
The Caria hotel is ................. well lets just say it's a cheap holiday and you get what you pay for. Would i go back to the Caria? Well never say never. .. Mark and Elaine.

Great holiday. Enjoed it so much, i want to go back, it was sooo good. People are moaing about it, but i dont see why, i thought it was amazing! I have been to turkey a few times, as i am half turkish, but this was the best ever.
Firstly , we arrived at 3am and reception was extremely helpful, putting us on 2nd floor and even driving us up to our apartment. Reception were always asking if we needed any help all the time, any time of the day. I give them great respect for all their hard work.
Our room was stunning. Amazing view. Asked for an extra bed, got it straight away, very clean. Maid does fantastic job, they are always cleaning, in the hot weather, i feel sorry for them.
The first morning, i was starving, i did nnot eat anything on the plane the food was horrible on there, i got to breakfast and it was lovley. Dinner and lunch was nice too. Ok, there wasnt alot of choice but it was nice. I was made a special fuit and chocolate thing by the chefs, twice, how lovley :)
The bar is great, always got served straight away and the drinks are very nice. The cups are clean, i dont know why people are saying they arnt. The bar staff are nice, made friends with a few. The restruant staff are nice too. They do chat up young teenagers alot and stare at them. the people of turkey are so friendly and most can speak english, they are all so nice :)
Entertainment, great, music all day and shows at night. One week was not enough for me :(
Everyone who is going, i hope you have a great time like i did, and i enjoyed it so much i am sure you will, just beware of the staff they chat up everyone, dont think you are too special if they chat you up. I wish i was coming with you :)

This Hotel is fantastic! It was brilliant for the kids and the entertainment was wonderful. The staff are courteous and couldn't do enough to help you. The private beach and all inclusive as well. What a wonderful experience.
From the moment we arrived there we had a good welcome and the staff helped us and made us feel at home.
We went on a trip with Sarigerme Tours which was great value for money and very informative. Try the Dalyan Mud bath trip which last one whole day and costs £15 per person lunch included!!!! There is mixed nationalities in the hotel which was really nice to meet people from other countries.
The food was mostly Turkish and German /Russian but they do serve chips on some days for those who want something a bit more basic.
The entertainment in the evenings in a man who looks like Sven Goran Erickson singing My way which was amazing. There is other entertainment in the Amphitheatre which was extremely funny. Take plenty of mosquito spray and there are masses of wasps between 6 and 7 in the evening on the terrace but other than that it was great.
The village of Sarigerme has some great stuff and other people in the hotel went there in the evening for some English food and some karaoke.
There is a nightclub also for those who want to dance the night away. To be honest there is something for everyone.
The rooms are set into the mountain so it was a climb to get back to your room but you can get a car whenever you want to and the staff don't mind taking you back to your room. I couldn't fault them at all.
There are free buses to the beach and then you can get a tractor (with a trailer) to the village which is also free. The market on a Friday in Otaca is great and really cheap. You can get a Dolmus for £1 to get there and our bus was air conditioned!
The people of Turkey are great, they are friendly and helpful. Make sure that you tip them because they don't get paid very much and I think that for the service that you get it worth the tip.
Try this hotel it is fantastic and the area of Sarigerme is wonderful, scenic and full of wonderful people.

we have just arrived from the worst holiday we have ever had the food was rubbish and recycled pig swill there was nothing for the children to do and i have never met such ignorant people as the russians some of the staff cant speak english and the cleaners didnt do there jobs right we had no hot water most of the time we were there and i would not recommend it to anyone young or old the only good part of the place was the beach
