having just returned from the Caria resort we have mixed feelings ....
the resort is not 4 star ! we have stayed in better equipped and cleaner travel lodges. the pool is excellent if you can get a sun bed ( the Russians are very similar to Germans in getting beds by 6.30) there is no where near enough facilities to accommodate the size of the hotel. 'all inclusive' is a tongue in cheek statement. there are hidden costs all over, the cost of items in the shop for items not inclusive is extortionate.
the pool area when wet is a death trap, very slipy. i also got my foot cut on broken glass from a dropped glass which was not cleaned up adequately.
on 2 occasions we did not get house keeping. on the first night we had a room which was not prepared fully ( we were a party of 5 and had bedding for 3!!)
and finally it is built on the side of a hill..... prepare to walk up and down flights of steps.... lots

Hi all,
Let me tell you briefly about caria hotel;Animation team made the holiday amazing, they are so funny and i managed to keep in touch with Baris on facebook although some of the animation was a bit near the line for the younger kids it was still really funny. Sarigerme Tour Travel Agemcy is who you should go with if you are planning a trip, safe and organised adam organises the trips so you may see him.
Enjoy your time.

We have just got back from the caria holiday resort and it was fantastic. Everything was excellent food, clean rooms, fantastic views, brill pool and aquapark, ok entertainment if you like the song "follow the leader". Only one downside and thats the hotel is on a mountain. So lots of steps and hills but if you have a strong 14year old son who can drag you up your ok. We where on the fourth floor and by the end of the week i'd got use to it. but you need the exercise after the wonderful food. My kids of 10 & 14 enjoyed every meal and snack and they are fussy buggers.
Book your excursions through basket travel in the sarigerme village. They where excellent value for money and great tour guides who look after you. I recommend the 12 island tour. Its an allday excursion, lunch included not drinks though. Fantastic views brill snorkling and lots more.
We will be going back hopefully next year.

It was okay, the only dissapointment was the food and the area. There was barely any market or shops. The food was horrible we cuoldn't eat it, it was always the same and was cold, mainly left overs from the day before. The pool was very nice and the beach was too. The rooms were nice and clean.

The hotel itself is on top of a steep hill, with no other hotels around. The view is fantastic. The village of Sarigerme is a five minute by taxi. It's no problem getting to the village, but it's a steep hike uphill to get back. Taxi is only around £4.
The rooms are lovely, and very clean. The balcony is very small, but we were never in our room all day, so we never used it much.
The food is excellent. A good variety of everything really. The puddings are to die for. The AI consists of-early breakfast, late breakfast, lunch, snacks (burgers & chips), tea (5pm, with lovely cakes), dinner, and midnight soup. Alcoholic drinks include whisky, vodka, gin etc. There is also a cocktail of the day (a different one every day). The staff are very friendly.
There were always plenty sun beds and parasols. The sun beds themselves were wooden, not the normal plastic ones, very exclusive! The pool was never crowded, in fact some times my husband and I had the pool all to ourselves.
We wanted a totally relaxing holiday, and we got it.
If you want to book any trips, SARİGERME TOUR is cheapest in the village. Also, if you have a late return flight, you must pay £30 each to get the AI until your transport arrives, or AI will stop at 12 noon. Well worth it, as we were not leaving till 3AM the following morning, so we also got our room till then, clean towels, and all the food and drink we wanted.

we have been to this village about 5 times now
the local are friendly and kind ,we are always made to feel special and welcome !
the beaches and scenery are breathtaking .
we usually go on a trip or 2 and never get bored of sailing round the islands ,relaxing on the boat while somebody else cooks lunch !!!
the guys at sarigerme tours are the best ,they will advise you on everything you need to know and the trips are well organised and cheaper than at the hotel !!!!
we love turkey it sthe best holiday and we never want to come home !!!!!
the market is full of designer "stuff" and all sorts of shoes ,bags, clothes.jewellry !!! all cheap and reasonable quality ! the dilek jewellry shop in the village is def the place to go if you want the real thing !! ask for karen !!!

jeep safari disaster

Jan 2009, big splash

caria holiday resort is in a very picturesque area ,it offers beautiful views over the sea.rooms are just as they appear in most photos, rows set into the hillside, we were lucky to be on row 2,so any higher is quite a steep walk down to the pool and restarants, especially in the heat.pool excellant, yes you do have to be down by 8.30 to get your beds, but the beach is only 5 mins away in the minibus with plenty of beds,it also has a snack bar offering good food and drink.food quite good, always something to temp your taste buds, fresh bread at breakfast delicious. restarant busy at peak times, but this has been our experience on many of our all inclusive holidays.animation team not bad at all, team pool games, etc.rooms fairly basic but cleaned daily, fresh sheets
and towels brilliant aircon.met some great families.
you must do the mud bath trip great fun,the 12 island boat trip is a nice dayout.
we would definately go back, but the world is a big place
BUT
Monday 18th august 2008 we went on jeep safari with sarigerme tours, you must google this, check out the date, read all the views refering to the crash, pages 1,2,3,this is a holiday my family will never forget, think carefully, your family is precious.

Hi , The Caria Holiday Resort Hotel, Sarigerme, Turkey,
Have just spent 7 days here all inclusive with my partner Gill, both of us being well travelled abroad and aged 50 years. This is a marvellous place clean and bright , lots of sunshine.
We did loads of trips through a local agent called Basket Tours (opposite to taxi station in the town)
Thanks to Basket travel we had a great holiday, we did the jeep safari and the turtle beach trips, every now and again my 4 year old still talks about the jeep safari, for any kids of trip to every where, find the guys named Ali and Ken in BASKET TRAVEL...

I have just returned from the Caria after a 10 night stay, this was the best holiday I have ever had, I went with my partner and we are both 26, we met so many friends from all over the UK, we were all Inclusive but we did eat out most nights, not because of the food but because I didnt ant to be in the complex all day, the food was all edible, I cant understand people moaning on here about the food and other elements as if like most people who I spoke to the majority only paid £300-£400 for a 10 night stay, If these people had paid £1000+ then there complaints can be justified, if you want 5* food then pay 3 times as much and stay in a 5* hotel. All of the staff at the hotel (the Animation team) are excellent, one of the guys looks like Carlos Tevez from Man UTD ( whatever you do dont encourage him to drink as he will always get plastered and his girlfriend who also works there will go mad!! The hotel do a free shuttle service to the town/beach every hour which was excellent. The town of Sarigerme is very small so not the best place if you want to go for a crazy pissed up holiday as it wont happen - I had a really nice hilled 10 days, ate nice food (especially at lunch) and met really nice friends - I can HIGHLY recommend the tour/excursion company in the village (Sarigerme tours) as they are a fantastic group of guys and their prices are SO much cheaper then all the others -a BIG hello to Emre and Oz!! All in all I had an amazing time here, Ignore the other reviews - you get what you pay for at the end of the day!

hi just got back.weather was...

Oct 2008, gleavey

hi just got back.weather was hot.views from appartment are to die for.very steep and lots of steps.appartments very basic and need up dateing, but clean.entertainment-3 shows in aweek.once you have had tea about 7.30,there is nothing to do,if you have kids.food-well ill leave it up to you,but this is the reason we would never return.my 7year old son ate bread, dry pasta and dry rice in a week.as well as filling him up with sweets and crisps from shop. which were very expensive.i now its turkey but most of the food was warm ups from day before, with something sprinkled on top, like cornflakes on ribs.been to turkey many times and loved food.got talking to a turkish man and he even said food was rubbish and it was not proper turkish food.mozzies, wasps and flys are a big problem.we took vit b1 and used sprays and still keept geting bit.you cant eat without them being all over you and the food.beach-lovely,food cold.went on 12 island trip with sarigerme tours was fantastic and would reccomend.you take many stops for a swim, go to pancake beach and have dinner on boat.out allday for 15 pound.even cheaper if you take your voucher of internet.swimming pool nice but wter freezeing.weather starting to get alot cooler day and night in october and some rain.our last day was cloudy all day and rain .that was 3 oct.

I arrived at the caria hotel resort...

Sep 2008, Mr D Robinson

I arrived at the caria hotel resort with my wife and 2 sons, the hotel in general should be 3 star, the cleaning is good , the maintenence work is quick and good. But on the other hand the food is terrible e.g. chips and patatoes for breakfast. The staff are unhelpfull and missurable. There is not much entertainment day and night and heres a tip. IF YOU ARE GOING TO THE CARIA HOTEL , WHATCH OUT FOR THE RIPING **** THAT WORKS IN THE SHOP, HE WILL TRY AND RIP YOU OFF WITH ALCHOHOL AND CIGERETES, HE WILL TYPE THE AMOUNT HE WANTS IN THE CALCULATOR INSTEAD OF THE TILL AND CHARGE YOU MORE, FOR HIS BACK POCKET. thanks for reading .
