Kite Beach Hotel

I stayed here for 3 nights with a friend. First impression- lobby is pretty and spacious. Check-in was easy and friendly. The beach bar serves OK food (varied in quality) at great prices. The pool is relatively small, yet the hotel is beachfront. Room- we had a standard deluxe. It was small, with a closet and corner balcony. The bedsheets were stained and the pillows were very very lumpy (see photo). Also, the bath towels had holes in them. I stayed at Kite beach hotel now March 27 thur March 31 and It was the best experience I've every had in my life. I highley recomend this place if you like the have a very relax vacation. Super clean. SUPER QUIET!!Everyone at the hotel is very frendly and super helpful in everything you need.. If you want a great vacation and for a very good price, please vist this place and you will see for you self. Again I do highley recomend this Hotel.... We stayed at the Kite Beach Hotel during the last week of December and found it to be a great place to stay in Cabarete. It's within easy walking distance of town but far enough to be relatively quiet at night when we wanted to go to sleep. Lots of options for kite-surfing and other activities and a nice pool and restaurant on site. The service was good and our unit was well equipped with a stove, refrigerator, cable, internet access, and very nice balcony looking out over the ocean. I've just stayed at Kite Beach Hotel for one night, but the staff was very friendly. The rooms are very clean and the bathrooms quite big. Breakfast was included and very good. The hotel is located directly at the beach and the view from the restaurant and the swimmingpool is beautiful. Unfortunately we just stayed for one night, but we didn't have any complaints about the hotel. I would go there again any time.

$600 were stolen out of my room and when I asked the manager for an explanation he informed me he would undertake a thorough investigation and would involve the tourist police. Two days later he got back to me saying he had interrogated the housekeeper and she had confirmed that she didn’t take my money so there was nothing else to do. If you are considering staying here do not leave any valuables inside the room.

I just returned after spending a week over Easter at this little gem. A good beach walk out of town, very chilled, friendly with a great setting. The beach bar has wonderful views, right over Kite beach, with great music and ambience. The food menu was also really tasty and cheaper than town.They provided a wonderful breakfast in the open air bar, included in the room price which made things very affordable. I just returned from a week staying at this hotel. If you are a kitesurfer, it is hard to beat the location right on kite beach. The hotel is very good value for money compared to the alternatives and I had no complaints at all about the staff. If you are expecting 5-star service...stay in a resort.

This hotel is good value for money, and is in a very nice location. The hotel staff are slightly disorganized and originally did not have the room ready for us that we had requested, but this was our only complaint. The rooms are very clean and nicely decorated. The pool is small but a nice place to hang out. The hotel is mainly full of kite surfers and the beach is pretty much just for kite surfers, if you are a kite surfer it is an excellent location. I booked this place through a website called cabarete rooms. When I arrived, my wife and I though the place looked OK. We signed up for kite lessons from the onsite kiteschool. Everything seemed to be going according to plan. Then the bottom fell out of the floor. The power would go down in the hotel. The manageress was a total crab apple. The restaurant would run out of food and drinks. The kite school was disorganized chaos. I mean, it would have been hard to get any worse! I recommend to anyone going to stay somewhere... more

My group of 8 stayed at Kite Beach December 27, 2005 to January 5, 2006 and had a good time except for a couple inconveniences. First, the hotel is cash only, all reservation cost must be paid at the time of check-in in cash. The staff is not generous with towels, some days I returned to my room and only had a single bath towel. Some rooms don't have telephones which only work between rooms anyway.
