This hotel was well located, and clean, but the rooms were absolutely tiny and there was a smell of drying paint (despite no evidence of painting!). Breakfast was good - as much as you can eat croissants and pain au chocolate. There were not enough tables at breakfast though, and some guests had to eat in the lobby tables instead.

Booking was straightforward. We chose the hotel we wanted and method of transport (in our case Eurostar) from the brochure and everything was done over the phone with all the details sent to us to confirm, sign and send the deposit. There are also a selection of trips and tourist attractions that can be booked in advance. We booked tickets for the Louvre and also Metro passes which saved time when we got there.
All the tickets were sent to us well before the departure date. The hotel was fairly basic but comfortable. We had a small problem in that we were allocated two double rooms instead of 1 double and 1 twin (my two sons were not impressed with the idea of sharing a bed) but this was quickly rectified by the receptionist, who spoke good English.
The breakfast at the hotel was a buffet and had a fantastic selection. The last place we stayed at had bread, croissants, jam and coffe and that was it. This one also had pains au chocolat, boiled eggs, ham, salami, toast, cereals, fruit salad, compote etc. It even had tea. Tea and coffee making facilities were even provided in the room, unusually for Paris.
The only gripe was that the orange juice was well watered down but I have found this in many places.
Eurostar ran to time both ways. This was the first time I had travelled on this service and it was much less hassle than flying or the ferry.
This holiday was particularly good value as we were able to use Tesco Clubcard vouchers in part payment. As a result, we had £600 off for £150 of vouchers bringing the total for the four of us to under £400 for four nights including Eurostar travel.
