me and my sister in law went to this hotel in may and all i can say it was brilliant, re read reports b4 we went and was a bit curious. i have been to egypt 2 times b4 and the hotels were g8 but this hotel and the food also the service and the WAITERS were absoulutly brilliant
we will be going again and i have recommended it to many people. going in may was very quiet which is what we wanted but the food and service and all the people were brilliant we just couldnt fault it at all. even the food we ate in every day we didnt even have to go out to find other places to eat so please dont always believe what other people say and give it ago promise you wont be disappointed.

I booked our holiday on the internet. we wanted to go to Sharm, but wanted a family room. managed to find Corals hills resort, and booked. After I booked I started to look at reviews. . . . I know should have done it first! I tried to contact the internet company and change the hotel - as all the reviews werent great, but had no luck.
But we just got back this morning and thought I would add a review.
On arrival at 23.30, having travelled for the last 14 hours we were pretty done in. shown to our room- and at that point my heart sank. Two four foot single beds for a family of 4 ! after several times going to reception and trying to say that I had booked a family room - and being told they were full and I would have to wait until tomorrow, they managed to set up a double fold away bed. I was pretty wound up - I had read about this in the reviews, My wife went to reception- it was now 0.30- came back after 15 minutes and said all sorted a porter came and we were taken to a family room !! hoorah!! The desk person hadnt looked at our details properly.
And too be honest that was the only down point of this hotel!!. The staff particularly in the restruant were very good, very friendly, and certainly entertaining!. We werent A.I. just B&B which was fine for us. the breakfast was great- they didnt mind us taking bread and jam back to our room, there was as much as you could eat. it was all very good.
We stayed for two weeks, there were two pools, having spent other holidays fighting over sun beds this was fantastic - there were days when were the only ones next to the pool. and when it was busy, ha. There were 5 people in the pool!! We had a great time. There was a private taxi guy called Alex - he drove us everywhere- very reasonable, and a really nice chap.
Sharm is a very spaced out town - just catering for tourists. the down side of the trip was the constant hassle when wlking through the shops from the shop keepers. if I have had a cup of tea in one Perfume shop I have had it in ten!! this is very tiresome - although with so many shops selling exactly the same it is understandable. we found that it was alot less hassle to go shopping for souvieners during the day or morning - it was hot but so much less hassle. a favorite trick of the shop keeps is to ask where you are from, as soon as they engage you in conversation you are caught in the net and it will be 30 minutes before you can get away!! But the leading question is where are you from, as soon as you say England, thats it you are stuck. BUT if you say UK that seems to stump them!!
Sharm is Hot - 35-40 degrees right now (May- June)
Red sea snorkeling is awesome
we all had upset tummies - but not because of the hotel food!!
Coral hills resort was good - I would stay again
Hope this helps

we thought we were going to domminian coral bay but ended in coral hills, food was disgusting ,our room was filthy, the staff were rude, our 9 month old child was in a cot that he fell through, the staff were unhelpful, become aggressive,i ended up throwing the cot in self defence at one of the staff,we ended up leaving the next day and loosing our money, they have offered to settle short changing us by 3 days with no apology for our bad start of our holiday, luckily my wife had her debit card so we managed to book in the dominian bay resort, highly recommendedThe rep at Coral hills needs sacking!
We are intending going public to watchdog and court if we dont get a full refund, does anyone want to Join us ?Really it is the fault of the agents for not doing there home work properly.
I certainly would not reccommend Youtravel as well

I have never had cause for complaint on any holiday I have been on. I read all of the reviews before I went but tried to keep an open mind. Most of the reviews were accurate. The room was clean and towels changed regularly and was an adequate size. The bar staff were friendly. The pool was lovely, as were the sundbeds, although not enough to accommodate the hotel. These are the only good things about this hotel.
The food was cold, and very little choice. No facility to help yourself to a drink in the restaurant (even water). You had to pay for drinks at the poolside bar. In the main bar there was a little man writing every drink which was served. The glasses were tiny. Mosquitos everywhere (repelent recommended). No entertainment. This hotel has not quite grasped the concept of All Inclusive. This cannot be described as a four star hotel by anyone's standard, more like a two. It is very dusty outside as there is a dirt track alongside the hotel which creates a layer of dust on the balcony.

I think that the hotel itself was very nice, and clean. Most of the staff were really friendly. The rooms were cleaned everyday. Thats the good points. The bad points are, you get plastic cups at the bar alot, and they fill your glass in tiny ammounts of alcohol when you order a drink, and they are short of alot of stuff at the bar. There is a man who sits at the bar and records everything you have, which makes you feel uncomfortable. The food was disgusting. It was cold, undercooked and there was no varity. I have stomach pains and toilet trouble whenever i ate from the hotel. I had to go and eat out which i think is terrible whilst you are all-inclusive. We had to leave the room at 12, and we were leaving the hotel at 3 but we had to pay for drinks after 12! We made complaints about the food and drinks but no-one made any effort to change it or appoligise. They dont cater for english tourists at all, therefore i strongly recomend that people avoid going here.

This hotel was a pleasure to stay in. The hotel hospitality was at a very high standard and the staff were extremely polite and courteous. The room I stayed in was well kept, including all the facilities one needs. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of foods and dishes to choose from. The reception was helpful, advising us on trips around the area and I found that the prices given were cheap in comparison with others. In addition, the swimming pools were very clean and well maintained. The trips by the shuttle bus were fine and there were many places to choose from. If we were to come again we would certainly book here. Overall I and my family enjoyed the stay and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Sharm.

We arrived at our hotel at 8.30 pm, the manager was little to no help and the reception was so noisey that he couldnt hear us or find our booking. After finally finding it we were taken to our room by an egyptian bell boy that new one english word "tip".
The room was clean and tidy and had a lovely view of the pool. We decided to have a meal in the resteraunt which turned out to be mass produced produced food that looked completely discusting, at this point we were glad that we had not gone all inlcusive as we could hear the other guest complaining.
We ended up eating at a chinese resteraunt in the shopping centre up the road. The pool are reaked of raw sewage in the mornings however the rude italian and russian guest mainly congregated around the main pool, my fiance was punched in the back by an italian guest.
The private hotel beach was no excistant and turned out to be a few chairs on apublic beach about 3 miles away. it gets 2/10 for the weather

We visited in Jan. 08, our room was fine. However, the food was awful - undercooked, lukewarm and the same food day in day out - we had to resort to going out to buy food which defeated the object of paying extra for all inclusive.
In the brochure it stated that there would be entertainment every night with a disco, but this wasn't the case - what they called entertainment was a belly dancer once a week and piped music around the pool.
The free drink under all inclusive was only until 11pm, the bar staff were as slow as possible, if you wanted a can - say a mixer, you had to buy the can, and if you wanted a drink by the pool bar you had to pay for it - all inclusive?? not necessarily all!
We met a few English people there, if this had not been the case we would have done our very best to come home early, these people were also very unhappy with the service and the food and asked the question on our minds - WHERE ARE THE BRITISH? We were asked by the Management if we would ever go back, and we replied honestly NO NEVER

After reading all the reviews of this hotel I tried to alter the booking to another hotel but there was no vacancies at the time we were booked for within the tour operaton (YouTravel) that were used by the company we had booked through. I then asked if we could be booked bed and breakfast only as I was travelling with 2 companions and we are all seniors and didnt want to get stomach trouble during the stay. I was told that this was not possible as their contract with YouTravel was for all inclusive only. I therefore looked forward to this holiday with dread in my heart.
However, the hotel was lovely, the staff were very friendly and polite, particularly the waiters. The beach is a 4-5 minute shuttle drive from the hotel (I timed it) and Naama Bay is a 15 minute shuttle ride. They seemed to have put all the English in the area of the second pool at the side of the hotel and this pool is very quiet; the main pool having Egyptian music being played most of the time (very loudly), but you couldnt hear it when by the other pool. There was adequate sun beds with cushions and the waiters were happy to bring your drinks to you round this pool if you went to the inside bar or pool bar (which was by the other pool) and ordered them.
The rooms were spacious and reasonably clean, towels white and sufficiently large even if not soft and fluffy. The weather was wonderful and Naama Bay is a fascinating place to go to in the evening with loads of life and atmosphere. However the first shuttle pick up to return to the hotel was at 11.30 p.m. which was a little late for us. I went to the beach twice and had a lovely long walk all along the seashore and actually looked for the sewage pipe described in one review and did not see one. Perhpas that reviewer went to a different beach - I found the beach clean and the people friendly.
That is all the good stuff and now for the bad bit and needless to say, that is all about the food. It was not as bad as I had anticipated but it is correct to say that the food is not hot, in fact some items like potatoes and rice are almost cold. Meat is usually tepid and the only time I got some hot chicken was the night the chef was doing a BBQ outside and I stood by the grill until he was ready to bring some in to put in the tureens and I made him put some on my plate there and then, so for once the chicken was hot.
The main trouble is that the tureens do not have any form of heat under them other than that they sit in hot water. When inconsiderate people leave the lids open, it takes no time at all for the food to get cold. The soup tureen is the only one that has a flame beneath it and even that doesnt seem to keep the soup hot. One reviewer complained about the mashed potatoes and liquidised meat that is in the tureens at breakfast time, but obviously the Egyptians and Russians like this food as they heap their plates up with it. The rolls at breakfast were very fresh and they had Lurpak butter, jam, marmalade and salad items, but they also had an egg station and you could have eggs fried, scrambled or omlette with onions, tomatoes and peppers added if you wanted. There was nearly always hard boiled eggs in one tureen also.
They did try to vary the meat or fish dish every day and also the vegetables, but there was usually only one choice of main dish, however there was always a pasta station where they would toss the pasta in tomatoe sauce and add peppers and onions etc. if you wanted them; but even though they did this on a hot plate in front on you, by the time you sat down at your table it was already cold. So the main problem with the food was that it was not hot and it was not varied enough, with little choice but you didnt need to go hungry - there was always salad.
If you wanted to eat out the food was very good and very cheap. You could eat in either Naama Bay or in a lovely Piaza Style shopping precinct that was just a 5 minute walk away. Just turn right out of the hotel and walk to the main road and turn right again and just a little way up that road you will see what looks at first like the entrance to a hotel but as there is usually loud music playing outside you will see that it is a really lovely shopping area made to look like an Italian Piaza (it will remind you of Ceasar's Palace shopping street for those of you who have been to Las Vegas). Here you will find Onions, a small restaurant where, amongst other dishes, you can get the most succulent T-bone steak and chips for £6.50.
A little way past the entrance to this shopping mall, at the next junction, you will find a cheap shopping area where you will see a load of coloured onion domes on the buildings. This has a fantastic atmosphere and you can buy cheap pressies to take home. In this complex there is also a place called Fantasia which is very pretty as you walk through, with fountains and ponds and coloured illuminations like fireworks. Here you can see a show if you want for about £8, we didnt go to the show as we had already seen belly dancers and whirling dervishas etc. but heard that it is very good, and this is barely 10 minutes walk from the hotel.
Going back to the subject of the hotel, if you book an excursion with the reps, make sure you pay in English Pounds (accepted everywhere) as if you pay in Egyptian Pounds like I did, the reps give you a very bad rate of exchange and it cost me an additional £3 for a £25 trip. You hardly need to take any Egyptian money with you. There was entertainment on only one night and therefore nothing to do in the hotel, there is smoking everywhere, including the lounge and I did tell the manager that as well as trying to make the food hotter if he wanted English clients, he should have a small lounge with no smoking and no TV (the Egyptians have it on extremely loud), where we can relax and talk to one another without having to shout, and play cards or other games in a smoke free atmosphere. Take games with you if you dont want to go out at night.
In short, if you only stay in this hotel on a B&B basis and eat out, you will enjoy your holiday. The three of us did not get a tummy upset but maybe we were just lucky. Incidentally, we spoke to many people in 4 and 5 star hotels and all complained about the food. Absolutely no-one had a good thing to say about it and the main complaint was universal in that it was cold and you had very little choice. So this seems to be the norm in Egypt - be prepared. Also remember that 4 star in Egypt is equivalent to our 2 or 3 star, as an English 5 star hotel would be like a 3 star to an American.

First impressions were excellent. We arrived at our all inclusive hotel at 11pm and were made very welcome. The baggage was taken to our ground floor room with a pool view.
The accommodation was clean with a large lounge/dining area with a bed/settee and easy chairs with a further separate twin bedroom leading off. Bathroom was well equipped and perfectly adequate. The whole accommodation had heating and air-conditioned rooms.
Next morning, we arrived for breakfast in the comfortable but only dining room. The food on offer was not to my tastes but considering the hotel catered for all nationalities, perhaps their tastes were catered for.
Outside in the garden and pool areas there were ample sunbeds and sun shades set in well kept grounds overlooking both pools.
And now for the not so excellent facts. The buffet dinner on our first night was awful, rice, pasta, salad, some sort of meat and chicken. The bread was ok. The food was only being kept warm by hot water underneath the serving trays. This was repeated on the second night with the same boring, cold food. Our third night promised to be special though, New Years Eve Gala Dinner. The food on offer was a vast improvement on previous nights but was not to last. Next evening we returned to rice and pasta and lukewarm meat if you were foolish enough to eat it, which I wasn't.
And then the stomach cramps and other unpleasantness began on day five. From that day on, I had no appetite at all and only ate two slices of toast and one bread roll for the next three days. That means no food at all from Wednesday morning until we arrived back home on Friday night. I could not risk being ill on the flight home. My wife is still having stomach cramps. Everyone else we spoke to had the same problems at this hotel. I shall not be taking an all inclusive trip to this hotel again but would consider room only. I nearly forgot to mention the obnoxious, loud, rude drunken Russians.

My wife and I arrived at this hotel by coach transfer to start a weeks relaxing holiday, at the same time as our arrival a police van pulled up and 5 police officers ran into the hotel, we saw there was a huge row in the foyer between the hotel staff and 15 Russian guests. We found a group of 4 English tourists who were waiting for a coach transfer to the airport, they said to us "Whatever you do don't stay in this place". We found out that 2 guests were in hospital suffering from severe de-hydration caused by diarrhoea and were on re-hydration drips. A fight then broke out between the Russians which was broken up by the police. We were told that 90% of the guests were Russian who were loud and rude.
There were only 10 English guests in the hotel, everyone had stomach upsets and that 3 days earlier there had been a food strike by a large section of the holiday makers who refused to eat the poorly cooked, re-heated food any more. Although people had paid for an all inclusive package the majority went to other hotels and paid for their meals in order to try to avoid getting ill. They all said this was the worst hotel they had ever been in.
My wife and I were shown to our room which was dirty, smelt of sick and looked onto the pool area which was full of shouting Russians. There was no way that I was going to risk my health and sanity by allowing myself or my wife to stay in this dump and we picked up our bags and left, passing the Russians who were still having a shouting match in the foyer.
I am 64 yrs old and have stayed in hotels all over the world, believe me this is probably the worst hotel I have ever been asked to stay in. It appears to be in the middle of nowhere, there is building work going on in the near vicinity, its not near the beach, the road outside is busy. In short its got nothing going for it and even by Egyptian standards is never a 4* hotel. It seems to be a place catering solely for Russians, and in my opinion any travel agent sending people to this place should be ashamed of themselves it is so bad!

Justa came back from Egypt. Superb holidays with nicw weather and interesting excursions. Hotel Coral Hills was a good choice although you have to be open minded with some things. Food is not bad but almoust the same every day so guests who are keen on some specialties want be happy. All peple working in a hotel are really friendly and we did not have any problems with them. On our arrival they gave as wrong room (2 beds instead of 3) but that was sorted next day as we arrived in the middle of ther night. We got nice room with a view to the pool and air condition was working nicely and this was important as the temperature of the air hits some days over 40 degrees Celzius. As this was our second trip to Egypt we alreday knew that you have to count on not so clean floors, tables... as in European hotels. That is the way they do it. Hopefully they will change their habbits soon. Just near the hotel (after you step out go right, and imidiatly right) ou can find Mercato-new shopping area build in Italian style, a nd if you want more traditional shops go a little bit further and you will find them with no problem.
I would recomend this hotel to the families with children as the hotel does not have any special entretaiment and it is a perfect place for relaxing. If you want prties and night life then you have to go to Nama Bay (new Sharm) which is 10 minutes drive from the hotel and you can find there what ever you want.
Hotel shuttle bus to the beach is going according the scedule every hour, and for the private beaches once or twice a day. (we went only to private beaches as they are less crowded and you can find a part of peace for you there). Mostly we went to Coral reef beach and (entry is 20 Eg.pounds if you book it in a hotel and 25 if you are paying on the beach). Once we went to Fanara bach (10 Eg pounds entry) and it was over crowded but it was nice for snoorkling. Shuttle is free of charge. As it goes once or twice a day we sometimes used TAXI and for 10 Eg.pounds you can go on almoust every location you choose (Nama bay is between 15 and 20 Eg. pounds).
Snoorkling is a must so take equpment with you if you have it at home or buy it in Old Sharm for 40-50 Eg.pounds. You can rent the equpiment but they will charge you 25 pounds for a mask. On the beaches all the prices are much higher so be aware of it and take watter or other refreshment with you. (bottle of water in a store is 2-2,5 pounds and on the beach 10-15 pounds). Coca-cola, fanta, sprite and similar baverages are 3-5 in the store and 10-15 pounds on the beach or in the hotel.
If you like swiming pools than you can enjoy two pools in a hotel and they are clean. You can get towels from the pool for free.
egarding excursions and trips we went to boat trip with snoorkling to Ras Mohamed (do not miss it!!!), Saint Catharine monastir and safary (Abu Galum, snorkling in blue hole, camle riding and trip to Dahab). All the excursions where great and it is worth going although they are not cheap. If you want to save some money you can choose the trips from local agency. You can find them an almoust every corner (we choose Susi near Bacus shop about 10 minutes walking from the hotel) and they were great. Everything went by the scedule.
We had camel riding included in our safary trip so we did not have any problems with beduins, but our friends tried it on their own and they had a big argue, almous a fight. They set a price on 15 poundsper persson and they all went at the same time on Camel. After 15 minutes of riding guide took a camera from our friend to take a picture of them on the Camels (they thought that was a nice gesture) but when they wanted to go down from the camel guide said 35 pounds for the riding and he did not want to turn back the camera until they pay higher price. So if you are a couple or a familly it would be good that somebody always stays on the ground. You can find that cind of peple everywhere, even in Europe so just be aware of this situations.
All the rest was a pure joy and we wolud recomend going to Sharm and to Coral hills hotel.
