Hesperia Sant Joan Suites

The hotel Hesperia Sant Joan was one of the nicest hotels you could have got and at a very cheap price. We stayed for two nights and the rooms were clean and spacious. The hotel was within walking distance to the Nou Camp but required a taxi to the centre, which to me was the only downfall about this hotel.
There is a small supermercado shop around the corner but that’s it in regard to shops or eating out, for that you have to head towards the centre which takes 10 minutes by cab unless you travel in the rush hour ( 6+ pm) then it could take up to 25 minutes.
Hotel had a reasonable sized pool but looked as though was not in use when we stayed in October as it had a huge hose in it. Bar was nice, never tried out the gym but looked nice from what I saw. The rooms all had good views on looking to Barcelona city. Taxi fare was 25 euros from the airport, which is the sort of figure you should be looking for. One other thing, beware of pickpockets when you travel in crowed areas.
Would not recommend going to Port Olympica as restaurants there smell and resemble fish markets, restaurants are not up to much down the Ramblas so try to head a little out of the centre to find some authentic restaurants. Hotel overall rates 8/10 only because the location was a taxi ride from the centre and had little going on around it. But in regards to the hotel you couldn’t find a cleaner, modern, spacious and luxurious place for the price they charge. Enjoy your stay.
