Larco Hotel

The only 2 positive things about this hotel are, it's very near the beach (no seaview) and friendly receptionists. Otherwise room was real dirty, bathroom and toilet a disgrace, mosquitos splased to the ceiling and walls by previous visitors were never cleaned, No Satellite TV as advertised, just 4 Cyprus stations with very bad reception, Towels and bed linen are not changed daily, No phone calls can come to room, and with the poorest breakfast I have ever seen.

We booked this hotel without first checking what others had experienced before us, and to be perfectly honest, we now find that the report already published on this website is still completely accurate. Had we checked up first we would not have booked it.
First impressions are not too bad, pulling up outside in the taxi you see a hotel that looks OK. But I'm afraid its all downhill from there as things do get steadily worse
The safe box is situated behind the reception desk and is only a filing cabinet that opens with a single key. I would never recommend placing any valuables in there.
Next was the room, the door to the room looks nice enough, but it rattled constantly in the slightest breeze. There was an old two door wardrobe in our room, from which the handle fell off as we tried to open it. On the opposite side was what appears to have been a built in wardrobe at some time that is now just boarded up with plaster board and screws.
The patio doors led to a small balcony, barely big enough to hold two chairs, but the lock on the patio doors was broken and would not lock, so once again any valuables could not be left safely in the room.
In the bathroom next, well they obviously did not want anyone to use much water as there was no plugs for either the bath or sink, and the room itself was disgusting and in no way has been refurbished in recent times.
Another website I seen about this hotel described the rooms as cozy and homelike, well I am sorry but if my home was as cozy as this I would be living in a horrible house and I would doubt my sanity.
I can't comment on the food as we did not stay long enough to try it.
Finally would I recommend this hotel to anyone else? Not a chance, do not stay here.
