My partner and I have just returned from Kos, and found Evripides Village to be a peaceful and ideal hotel for those who wish to stay outside the main tourist centre of Kardamena. It has the benefit of a sea view and a great pool for adults and children.
The staff were all friendly and helpful, the apartments were cleaned every other day.
Some tour operators may have mis-represented the apartments, in that air con, TV's and hair dryers are available in all rooms, this was not the case. Air con is charged at 25 euro's per week.
Although it was a 40 minute walk into the centre, a local bus costing 1.6 euro's is available at regular intervals (often not on time). Taxi's were 7 euro's per journey. Which could be costly for families.
The hotel bar offers a good range of breakfast and snacks, with TV viewing available. Sun beds and parasols were always available by the poolside.
We rated the hotel 8/10 due to the lack of a hair dryer, and the hard beds. Otherwise this hotel was great for the price we paid. Kardamena is a lively resort with plenty of great restaurants.

To the Mrs Ferguson.....................Uri was not at all rude!!
we've just come back from staying there for 2 weeks also in june and had the BEST time ever!!
the apartments were basic but exactly as described and exactly what we paid for
the pool was lovely nice and cool and quiet........i am 25 so still lovin the parties and that but like to relax in the daytime and find the party at night so this gave it the right mix
back to uri and the family they could not do enough for you................so friendly nothing was too much trouble and they would keep the bar open ALL night long till the last (wo)man was standing!! what more can you ask for!!
would recommend this hotel to everyone! even though you had to pay 7euros for a taxi each way AND if you walked it you would die of heat exhaustion half way............it was actually nice to be out of the hustle and bustle of the main town centre
and it gave us an excuse to hire a quad which was SOOOOOOOOOOO much fun!!
anyway we loved it and one last thing everyone staying there also seemed to be soo freindly everyone chatted to everyone which was nice and a first for us (we usually stay in proper snobby hotels lol)
will def be goin back asap (as soon as we can save up another load of dollar!!)
the twins...........Michelle and Tara xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

My friend and I have just returned from two weeks holiday in Kos. This is our first time in Kardamena and it is a great place to go on holiday. People very friendly, plenty of nice places to eat etc.
I would recommend Anna's and Nemo's restaurants, although I must say everywhere we ate was lovely.
We stayed at Evripedes Village and although the apartment was fine (good size, cleaned every other day, towels changed etc.) Lovely pool. It is too far from the main village.
There is a local bus which is reliable but goes off during day for siesta, also taxi's only take a few minutes to reach town.
The staff, I must say are at best not very friendly and at worst down right rude,
Uri take note!!
All in all we had a great holiday and met some really lovely people.
Would definitely go back to Kardamena but not to this accomodation.

Im 22 years old and went last year with a friend.
Rooms was adequate, clean enough and had a sea view. Nice enough bathrooms as well.
Pool area was great, plenty of sunbeds to go round, good size pool and great bar area in the shade with snacks available.
The place is family owend and run, all quite friendly and available if you need anything. they do a barbeque once a week which is well worth a look.
The apartments are too far from the resort to walk but a 5min taxi ride saw to that which was about 7 euros between the two of us. Plus the people at the ar will phone them up for you (more often thatn not there will be two other people wanting a taxi so you can always share)
The beach was always nice and clean and pretty much deserted! If you walked about half a mile down the coast you could find some watersports and that.
If your young and up for a good time i wouldnt be put off by the above reviews - if your a couple after a relaxing luxury sort of holiday you might want to look else where. It wasn't loud but in season was mostly young people in the apartments.

Kos & Kardamena were beautiful, will definitely return, just not to this hotel.
We were given directions to find our room in the dark when we arrived, If it hadn’t been for an old lady (who I think was a resident there) I don't think we would have found it at all! We chose this hotel because it said it had air con but there was none in our room (after asking the next day we were moved to a room with it)
Rooms were very basic & shabby & staff weren't very friendly.
Part way through the week the water went off so we had no shower or toilet, and when it did come back on it was just cold and brown & it was on and off for a few days!!
Aside from the hotel we had a fab holiday, weather was brilliant and restaurants were great - Definitely recommend Kos but avoid this hotel!!

Accommodation was too far from Kardamena to walk - about 2-3 miles. There was no shop as advertised at the apartments.
The apartments were dirty, although the bed linen appeared clean.
Advertised on their site was: shop, air-conditioning, hairdryers and TV in rooms - there were none of these except lots of mosquitoes!
The pool was green!
Kardamena itself was not nice, really shabby and the resort was empty so people were voting with their feet!
On a positive note – the sun shone the whole week!

Lovely pool, quiet location very near unspoilt beach. Need your own transport, but scooters, cars and quad bikes are very easy to hire. No internet despite what website says, and pool snacks/drinks are very expensive - as is air con at 5 europs per day.
Loved the place, clean, quiet and friendly. Would go back for sure.
