Just arrived back from Takis apt sidari Corfu, all i can say is avoid at all costs, this place is a dump, the staff are only nice if you spend money in the complex, you only get 1 toilet roll for 2 wks(then you buy your own),towels replaced weekly(but you can pay 15 euro too get them cleaned before the wks out),this is a first to me.the cooker looked like it had been in a fire then repainted, the toilet smelt all the time(like a sewer).that Theo guy freaked me out, always staring from the bar at our room. The pool turned all material white yellow,so god only knows whats in it but apparantly thats the clorine.

We have also returned from these fabulously situated appartments. Not too far out but just right for a quieter area of Sidari.
Currently two blocks of accommodation, with new ones being slowly finished (out of season), which will only add to the pleasure for holiday makers once completed.
There are plenty of restaurants, supermarkets and bars all within a stones throw.
We too have re-booked and are returning in 2009, with additional persons.
See you all soon.

We have just come back from a week in Corfu staying at the Takis Annex Appartments.
The appartments were very basic which was fine as you dont spend much time in the appartments, but you expect things to work in the room and for the room to be cleaned. On the second day the toaster broke, reported it twice and nothing was done. We didnt have fresh towells until the fifth day and our rooms were not cleaned every day. The staff was no help at all. Our return flight was not until early hours of Tuesday morning so we had to be out of our room at 12 noon. When speaking to the rep he said that it was down to the owner of the Takis for our room to be extended so we could at least freshen up before our flight. When speaking to the owner he said that is was down to Olympic Holidays to sort out the extension on the room and that he couldnt help us. So we then had to hire a room for the day which cost extra so we had somewhere to leave our cases. Very disappointed with the Takis and didnt enjoy our stay will not be returning.

Regardless of how basic the rooms really were (ie the SHOCKING shower and oven ahah), the Takis apts were amazing; it's not even asif you spend much time in the rooms anyway - it's just a place to doss!
I'm 18 and this is the first holiday I've been on via plane which is pretty far away. I only got back last night but I'm in the middle of persuading my boyfriend that we should go back there for 2 weeks next year haha.
I'm not sure of people's names because I'm awful at understanding accents; but assuming Takis is the man who's always at the bar and has that sister...they're amazing! They were insanely nice. And Takis' son Leandra (sp) was adorable and ace at pool so catch a game with him if you go ahah!
The location is amazing too; not too far a walk from the beach or town; but far enough so as not to hear the lairy drunks when you fancy some peace and quiet. And the Super Market just up the end of the road is handy too.
I wouldn't recommend 'The Family' tavernas; the food was the WORST we had on the holiday regardless of it being recommended by Takis. My food had hair in and we were sitting opposite the kitchen and saw that the Chef wasn't wearing a hat or anything and was smoking in the kitchen; bleh.
If you want somewhere amazing to eat go to Dyonsas (I think it's called); the portions are good, the food is amazing and the staff are so friendly and go out of their way for you; the Lamb Kleftiko they served was one of the best things have ever eaten in my life!

We had a wonderfull time at takis appartments Effie and Takis are fantastic hosts and we were made to feel part of the family. We've been back a week and have booked to take the children there with us next june already as we know they will enjoy it as much as we did. The appts were just outside of the main shopping area but close enough for us to walk to , so very little noise at night from the few night clubs. Beach lovely and doesn't get too busy so you can enjoy a relaxing day. Lots of trips to go on if you want but lots to see around if you just want a slow quiet day or so. Basic rooms but clean , great for a base to do what you want. We met some lovely people while we were there and have arranged to see them there next year same time, can't come round quick enough!!. Thursday night BBQ night ,Effie and Takis do it all. Its a great night not to be missed by anyone staying fun and laughter had by all.

We just came back from a holiday at Takis apts sidari, the accommodation was greek style and quite basic, but very very clean and our apartment No9 was v spacious (fab lemon trees outside!). The cutlery was gleaming!
Effy and Takis were great really friendly and were great with my daughter. The Greek night (thursdays) was fab, my parents came from other apartments and we all joined in! Effys bbq and especially the roast potatoes are amazing! Word of warning - there are 2 Takis apartments in Sidari - my parents stayed at the other apartments ran by Olympic holidays - (they are also nice) but if you are booking in a group make sure you all book with the same operator.
Fab holiday - really relaxing - a tour company nr 3 little pigs restaurant organise a Lazy Days boat trip which is great only about 16euros. Food in Sidari really cheap - Bed bar cheap but sometimes service a bit rubbish.. got a Klefiticof at the my family taverna was delicious!
Happy holidays!

we have just returned from a two week holiday staying at the takis apartments in sidari corfu. we have had a fabulous time, we could not fault the accommodation or the location of the apartments. the weather was hot the nightlife was just great.Although it was only early in the season all the bars were buzzing every night you were spoilt for choice. There was entertainment in most resturants, ranging from Freddie Mercury impersonator,Lady Jane Drag Queen,a commedian, Elvis impersonator, Robbie Williams impersonator, Hypnotist, Illusionist, Greek Dancing to name but a few, you had a wide choice and all were free. One of the popular places where we ate most nights was Fagins the meals were very good service was very good and most of all very reasonable, the portions were of a good size, Vinney and Anita were very friendly nothing was too much trouble for them, we reccommend you try Fagins and see for yourself.Overall we had a great time Olympic Holidays are a good company to travel with our rep Kathy was very helpful and she was very friendly, she did not try to sell trips to us. If you do fancy any trips turn left at the Three Little Pigs and book at the travel company on the left, they are much cheaper. The only problem we had was we were delayed for 8 hours at Corfu airport on our return to the UK.

On arriving to Sidari the reps were disorganized and short staffed, there was no rep on the coach to our apartment so a bit of confusion when arriving at our destination. Normally someone would tell you when your apartments are approaching but it was my son that noticed it, so we felt a bit abandoned.
Takis apartments are basic but spacious, we stayed in the two bedroomed apartment so there was plenty of room. I will advise you to take extra towels as the towels they give you are small. Effie is wonderful and very pleasant and will make you feel very welcome. The swimming pool and garden area are very tidy and clean with enough loungers to go round. It is a sun trap where ever you lie with plenty of umbrellas to go round.
Food is good at the bar as we had breakfast and lunch there some days and was very satisfied with the meals. There is some work going on from the new apartments they are building but it never disturbed us in any way, no noise was heard and no large vehicles coming in and out.
The apartments are well located and not far to beach and restaurants with Canal d Armour five to ten minutes away. Supermarket next to apartments and bars if you don't want to walk far.
Sidari is wonderful with plenty of restaurants and bars on the main street. It is a must to hire a car but do this not from your rep as they do overcharge. I would go back to Takis but do like to have a change in fact this year we are going back to Sidari and got a good deal from Kosmar and we will be trying out the Megali area of Sidari.

This was my first time in Greece and I will definitely be going back. We had a fantastic time at the Takis apartments, thanks to Efi's brilliant sense of humour and great food. Our apartment was cleaned every day by the maid. The barmaid wasn't the biggest load of laughs but you soon got to know her and her ways. Efi was always trying to wind me up and made our holiday by joining in the fun at her Greek night and teaching me how to do a Greek dance.
The pool was the cleanest I have ever seen due to Efi hoovering it every morning at seven o'clock, no matter what time she went to bed. The apartments were just a few minutes walk to the centre of town and just far enough away to be nice and peaceful at night. Looking around the other apartments and hotels, Takis was definitely the best choice we made. Cant wait to go back.

Just returned from the Takis appts after staying there 18/08-1/09/08, these dates are significant if you wish to avoid the group of neanderthals we encountered who may stay their the same time every year, the head of the group a skinny, leather skinned ginger haired women in her 50's had an appt high above the pool from where she would scream down at everyone else within her visual range, if you tried to leave she wanted to know where you were going (think Camp Kommandant in a cowboy hat), she would at various stages throughout the day scream "everyone in the pool" and the neanderthals would oblige and be forced to play complex games like "pass the ball to the person next to you" for hours on end, she also organised daily qualifiers for the Moron Olympics by ordering people onto lilo's and making them race for her enjoyment, they were by the pool 18 hrs a day rarely left the appt and seemed to use petrol as sunblock, my wife and I are in our 40's and were there with our 14 yr old daughter and enjoy relaxing on a sunbed reading a book before a walk into town, we ate out on an evening at Taverna's we even went on day trips!, this was considered strange anti social behaviour and the neanderthals would stand in small groups at the bar staring at us while picking fleas of each other, lets face it we were watching Greek Big Brother and we had been voted out day 1, we found their behaviour bizarre and hilarious which led them to ignore us completely which was a blessing, although as they were moral cowards to a man no one actually told us what was wrong with our behaviour, to sum up personally I would avoid the appts on these dates unless you fit the criteria which is
a) you are from the South of England, we are from the North and this obviously confused them
b)you like being told what to do 18 hrs a day
c)you like pool games and not leaving the appt complex
d)you are a Moron
