Ryad Mogador Menara Hotel

Stayed here with family & friends for four days. On arriving at Marrakech airport 7.30pm we were offered a taxi to the hotel. I was told that the cost would be around 50 Dirhams so was prepared to haggle when asked for 150DH, eventualy we settled on 100 each for two cars. Hotel was clean & spacious & breakfast fine. There wasn't much info on where to go & what to do but then they seem more geared towards the French than the British. Weather was perfect. Just come back from this hotel.In a reasonable position.Photos on the web site we found were not of the hotel pool.It is tiny and only gets sun at certain times of the day .There are about 10 sun beds and they are squashed together.I would have paid a bit extra to get a decent pool as we ended up paying 6 pounds a day to use another pool.The hotel is not too bad for the price stayed half board but to be honest it is really cheap to eat out.Found Morrocans nice people much better than Tunisians who I found rather letchy and quite agressive at... more

From the very outset, this hotel ticked all the right boxes, although, apart from breakfast, we never ate in the hotel. The reception and lobby are quite beautiful, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room, although lacking any sort of view, was clean, comfortable and well-equipped, (although no tea/coffee facilities) with only a small problem with the shower, which had a tendency to try flooding the room.... We stayed at the Ryad Magodor Menara having read good reviews about the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel a member of staff was already waiting at the entrance waiting to greet us and collect our bags. On entrance there was a very large lobby where the reception was, and the staff were all very friendly. Just got back from Marrakech, stayed in Mogador Menara for a week. The hotel has a lot of potential, amazing lobby, spacious rooms, nice pool and a lot of problems too. The service is incredibly slow, you have to wait for at least 30 mins even for a glass of juice. Nobody can speak English and sometimes it seems like they are doing exactly the opposite of what you've asked them to do! The food was poor, non-imaginative and cold. If you are staying at this hotel, I'd recommend to get your lunch elsewhere, they serve nicer food in a cafe... more

We stayed at the Mogador Menara for 6 days in early February. It's a brand new modern hotel, and has a particularly impressive lobby. The room was spacious and clean, the only problem being that the shower head leaked and finding a comfortable water temperature was an art that neither of us mastered! The location is so-so, it's only a 15 minute walk to the 'new city' and 30 minutes to the 'old city', a taxi is 20-50dh. The food is absolutely awful...truly! El trato de personal muy agradable. Aun habiendo hecho reserva cuando llegamos el hotel estaba lleno y nos pusieron en una suite la primera nochesin recargo. I spent a weekend in the Ryad Mogador Menara, situated in a nice area just out of the hustle and bustle that is Marakech and never more than 10-20 DH from town loactions in a taxi. Definately a quality four star hotel with lovely communal areas and smart room interior. It's a relatively new six floor hotel with huge rooms with balconies, and beautiful baths (with phone, hair dryer, etc.) with all the standard four star amenities. Spotless cleaning. On arrival at the Ryad Mogador Menara all looked great. The hotel itself, main lobby, restaurant, pool area is all very impressive and very clean, but as time went on we became more a more frustrated with this hotel!! There were 4 in our party - we had requested adjoining rooms - one of our rooms wasnt made up, the second a disabled room and they were not adjoining. I recently participated in a two week organized grand tour of Morocco spending the nights in what were reputed to be "four star" hotels. The Ryad Mogador Menara was the only one which matched European levels of a quality four star.
