" My wife and I recently returned home... "
Submitted By: Mr R. Castledine
My wife and I recently returned home after spending the 10th-17th May 2008 at this excellent hotel. Our first impressions as we entered the hotel was it's spotless and smart appearance, and the friendliness of the staff. On entering our room, we were amazed at it's cleanliness, and spaceousness, and as requested we found it extremely quiet.
There was a slight hold up upon entering the dining room, whilst the head waiter sorted out our tables for the first time, but after that the service we received from the waiters was next to none. The food was always piping hot, and of very good quality. and the range of desserts was amazing.
The rooms were always spotlessly clean, and the bathroom immaculate.
For a three star hotel, we thought it was excellent value, and we would reccommend the hotel to anyone.

" My wife and I and her sister visited... "
Submitted By: Mr J James
My wife and I and her sister visited Norfolk Hotel in August in 2006 and have never travelled before to Channel Islands.
When holidaying here found the weather very warm and enjoyed the hotels small outdoor pool, often chatting to other holiday makers here and enjoyed our holiday apart from two things.
We were very unhappy with our family room as there was noise coming from the extractor fans and noise coming from outside also and when asked for an exchange wasn’t given one, so also disliked the attitude of the hotel.
The choice of food was adequate but felt could have been improved and the bar room quite smoky, if you are non smokers which was off putting and my wife’s sister did not like some of the meals offered to us at the Norfolk, so occasionally eat elsewhere.
We found the polish waiters/waitresses in the dining room very helpful and kind but disliked the attitude of the waiter behind the bar or the smoky atmosphere.
The hotel was ideally situated in a busy location next to the shops and had tea coffee and TV in our room which was nice to relax too and often enjoyed the concerts in the park nearby.

" I went to the Norfolk hotel last year... "
Submitted By: Ms H Brown
I went to the Norfolk hotel last year with my 2 children and my mum.
We had a family room that was lovely and clean. The only thing we had to complain about to staff was the lack of safety rails on the top bunk, but it was sorted out within 15minutes. The staff were lovely and friendly and great with the kids.
The breakfast was lovely and even my little one found something to eat. We had cereal, cooked breakfast and endless rounds of toast. There was lots of juice and tea/coffee.
We stayed for dinner most nights and it was really a good choice each night. There were 15 different puddings each night! Even the fussiest eater would be hard not to find something they ate.
Well done to Kim and her family for ensuring there guests have a good time.

" I visited Norfolk hotel in St Helier... "
Submitted By: Mr S Wearne
I visited Norfolk hotel in St Helier in September 2006 and was disappointed by my holiday here as I am a fussy eater and did not like the choice of the food or my room. Traveling as a single person traveling but did enjoy the facilities here such as the outdoor swimming pool and coach trips which were run from the hotel such as trips to the Zoo, the island and other islands and trips to other attractions within Jersey.
The small cafe in the hotel was nice clean and had a nice choice of light snacks and refreshments and I often spoke to the lovely Polish lady that worked there who was a pleasure to talk too and very helpful as were the other Polish waiters and waitresses and found them to be very hard working business like kind helpful people.
The Norfolk Hotel is situated very close to the centre of St Helier near to all local shops and the Howard Davis Park it is good value for money but sadly the menu and room was a disappointment
