" Approx 20 min drive from Philadelphia... "

Approx 20 min drive from Philadelphia International Airport, place looked a bit grim on journey in. Unremarkable looking Hotel from outside but large and pleasant with sizable lobby/reception area, several lifts (elevators), good size double room (2 queen size beds) with big bathroom. TV, phones and internet connection in room (internet cafe off reception on ground floor also) but no room safe. Extensive views from room (level 12) though not much to look at. Nice breakfast restaurant just off reception though quite pricey. Reasonably well equipped gym, nice indoor pool.

Hotel well located in City centre in the middle of shopping area (including large Macy's) close to beautiful and impressive City Hall, 10 min walk one way to historic area or 15 min walk other way to museum/exhibition area. Both well worth visiting.

Having had the chance to explore there are some really nice areas especially Historic Waterfront District, the museum area (Ben Franklin Parkway) and the Schuykill River trail.

Must see - Independence Liberty Center (including Congress rooms), Liberty Buildings (including Liberty Bell), National Constitution center, the Battleship "New Jersey", Aquarium, Washington Square (including tomb of unknown soldier), Rittenhouse Square, Museum of Art (inc "Rocky Steps"), Rodin Museum, Franklin Inst Science Museum, Academy of Natural Sciences and the Eastern State Penitentiary (including Al Capone's cell)
