Comte De Nice Hotel

I found Hotel Comte de Nice on the Internet. It was basic but gave excellent value for money. It was fairly near the main railway station so was central. We stayed in an apartment, which had really good facilities for cooking, including hob, microwave and fridge. They also have regular rooms.
The bed and bedding was 4 star. Really comfortable. There was a heater, which we could adjust ourselves. The bathroom was basic but very clean and there was plenty of hot water.
There was also a television and a phone. A table and chairs to sit at was also provided.
Only two minor downsides. No cleaning in 5 days but we could have asked and paid for it if necessary and it would have been nice to have a couple of easy chairs to sit in.
Nice was great for a pre Christmas visit but it was quite cold. Public transport is cheap and efficient. Eat big meals at lunchtime for bargains, or go to Chinese for good value for money at night. Finally beware of the dog dirt on pavements, a major hazard on side streets a minor hazard on main roads.
Get an Easy Jet flight and you can have quite a posh holiday on the cheap!
