Just come back from the Hotel Flamingo, Benidorm. What a joke. Where do I begin? On arrival, my partner fell over and broke his foot. Then our room had a broken shower and the toilet was overflowing. Needless to say, we stank all week.
When we woke up in the morning we went to find a sunbed and were attacked by a German woman who seemed to think I was possessed. I retaliated by throwing her in the pool and knocking her out with a bread roll (they really were that hard).
Breakfast was basically bread. End of. Lunch was bread and the odd glass of water. Dinner they really went to town because we were all treated to a single cheese triangle each.
By this point we decided enough was enough and went back to our room for some much needed rest. Only to discover that our suitcases had all been stolen by a group of gypsies living nearby. The door had even been broken down! And to make it worse, we were charged for the cost of the broken door!
It’s not all bad though, we were able to befriend some crickets. All in all, a bad holiday.

This was the best holiday I have ever had and I have travelled far and wide.
If you’re young and looking for wild nights out this is the place to go. Only ten mins or so from the hotel the square caters for every need.
The food in the hotel was fabulous!! Very varied menu. The drinks were okay, tasted abit watered down at times. The male bar staff were fun and flirty the women not as cheerful but I would expect that’s me being a women.
Met some wicked people in the hotel. Entertainment was a little lacking but the square makes up for it, we just drank in the hotel till 12 then headed to the square which had pubs and clubs, very cheap drinks and fantastic entertainment. Sticky Vicky is one show not to missed 18+ only.
Will be heading back very soon.

I have just returned from the Flamingo Benidorm Hotel, and thought I would post these comments on exactly what you are receiving for your money. Having read the comments already on this forum, I found a lot of them were contradictory. Here is the TRUTH.
Location: Although on the top of a hill, there are taxis towards the Avenida de Mediterraneo, half way down the Avenida Cuenca. This is the main road, right outside the hotel, which takes you down to the bars and eventually the beach. A slow walk takes 15-20 mins and a taxi is 5 Euros.
Rooms: Comfortable, nice size, cleaned daily (if you are out of bed). The maids are persistent and punctual. If you fail to answer twice, then your room gets a makeover the next day. As you enter your room, your lounge is on your left, with the bedrooms facing on the right.
This means, when you sleep, your head is two feet away from your neighbours television. A MASSIVE tip. Request the VERY last room to the left of the hotel. This will ensure you do not suffer your entire stay, next to boring neighbours, who use the restaurant for meals and then return to their room to concentrate on SKY TV at maximum volume (you know who you are).
The room numbers go from 1 - 26 on every floor, (26 is a guess). Request the highest number possible and settle for no less.
Staff: I personally have no idea why people see the need to comment on staff apart from the fact that if they have received a grumpy service from them, then maybe they should look at how they treat others first. ALL members of staff were happy, jovial and did there upmost to make the stay a welcome one. I stayed for the Christmas Day gala, and was absolutely amazed at the thought, presentation, and fine detail, all beautifully pulled off by the everyday staff in the hotel. Faultless.
Entertainment: Admittedly not high on my agenda as I believe a holiday is what you make it, however, children were kept busy during the day for set hours, but then left unattended for the remainder. Not ideal if you want to sit in company in the main saloon. The shows were basic and repeated. There were a couple of good shows to catch, the parrot show for kids and adults, and the popular drag queen (who was that popular I have forgotten her name).
Food: First class. Not a bad thing to say. Plentiful and tasty.
And Finally, my biggest and really only gripe (apart from noisy neighbours as previously mentioned), the watered down alcohol. I could have quite easily drowned than got merry.
This made the stay more expensive as we were spending more in the bars than we would have preferred. The upshot to this is that you get to see better acts/shows.
Overall: Depending on your age and what you value out of a holiday, this may or may not be the place for you. As I am relatively young and like a drink, I will not be returning. If you are of a mind, where you just want to sit, enjoy good food (and that’s all), this is probably a cheap and a good hotel for you.

Just returned after 5 days break and can’t complain about the hotel at all.
The staff were pleasant, the 2 young girl entertainers did a great job and the food was delicious. I can honestly say that I enjoyed every single meal.
The only downside to this hotel was the location - it was at the very top of a hill which I found made me breathless and this is the only reason I would not go back. If this hotel was nearer the front and on level ground I would not go anywhere else.

Just got back the hotel and food was first class. The staff need some customer relation training. The only bad thing about this hotel was the chickens making a lot of sound at 4.30 am onwards.

I have being going to the Flamingo Benidorm every year for 4 years and my mum and partner have being going every year for 7 years. I was there last week (12/9/07 - 19/9/07) and my mum was in Benidorm as well staying at another hotel.
My mum came up to my hotel to have a drink with us when she bought her drink as we were all inclusive to be told she was not welcome in our hotel. She was forced out by the entertainer called Neil that we have known for several years now, calling Hotel security and phoning the police to attend.
All my mum was doing was sitting in our company having a drink and wasn’t allowed in because she was staying at another hotel.
If that’s the way the entertainers treat you in front of all the other holiday makers after several years being a customer then it is really disgraceful.
All my family use that hotel as we recommended it to friends as well, None of us will be back to put up with that again.

Just back on the 4th September from the flamingo Benidorm. Was a fantastic hotel, bar staff were the best ever, entertainers were really nice.
The rooms got cleaned every single day; the food was pretty good with a Sunday dinner once or twice a week. The night entertainment was alright, bingo every night and some of the shows were great.
I would definitely go back again, got on really well with Deigo and Dil the bar staff. Miss them already.

We stayed at this hotel in august 05 wich was my 5th time there the hotel is fantastic it's immaculate & surrounded by friendly people the rooms are big & spotless, the pool is really big, & for those that don't like to go out every night the entertainment at night is brill, the food is very nice & theres quite alot to choose from. I would advise this hotel to couples, family's & groups but not for people who can't or don't like to walk quite far to the beach.

We have just arrived back from this hotel. Which we won't be going to again.
We found the only good thing about it was the good selection of food available, except at lunch time, which sometimes had the sausages and beans which had been left over from breakfast on the menu.
The waitresses/waiters and bar staff never had smiles on their faces, and if you leave the table whilst dining to get a drink, by the time you get back to your table everything will have been taken away, unless someone keeps guard over the table.
The beer tastes like it's watered down (you certainly can't get drunk on it; it just makes you wee a lot).
When we arrived we were told we weren't actually staying there, we were staying at Eva-mar apartments (which was a 10/15 minute walk away).
Every morning at 9.am there was a mad scramble to get a sun bed (if you're not there by 8.45am,forget it).
The area to the right of the pool smells like a sewage farm most of the day and there are quite a lot of the floor tiles that are loose, and the floor is very slippery.
The staff start stacking up the vacated sun beds from 5pm, which just makes the area look like a rubbish tip with all the plastic drinks cups all over the floor.
Li-lo's, rings and all other inflatable are allowed in the pool.
Entertainment, what entertainment?!
During the day, there are a few activities for the kids, but there is no tannoy system, only the entertainers that walk round the pool about 5 mins before an activity starts, to say what is happening and with all the kids running around the pool & jumping in, you can't hear what they are saying.
Evening entertainment, Starts at 9pm with Bingo, then nothing until 10.30pm when they have (on different nights)Hypnotist on Monday ,very good, rest of week it's disco & karaoke, Miss/Mr flamingo, juggler/clown show,(who walks off stage if you take a photo).
There is a games room, a T.V room, a card/darts room, internet access but connection is slow (when it works).
The daytime receptionist was very helpful and about the only person who had a smile on her face if you need to ask about anything or order a taxi she would do it for you for free.
The picnic pack, which you have to order before 7pm the day before, contains, 1 bread roll, 1 triangle cheese,1 triangle marmalade,2 pieces of what I can only described as cold toast in a packet, 1pkt of 4 small biscuits,1 apple,1 orange,1 bottle of cool water & I carton of pineapple juice.
For an All Inclusive Hotel it leaves a lot to be desired.
Whilst we were there, bearing in mind we had a 10/15 minute walk to get there for breakfast, not one of the staff at the hotel asked us if we were enjoying our stay.
In my opinion this hotel should be downgrading to 2 star.

The hotel is right at the back of the resort and is at the top of a hill.
Hotel was very basic, clean but could do with refurbishing.
Food not very good, not much choice, quite often you had to guess what the meals where.
Hotel staff very friendly.
As it is all inclusive, there are long queues for everything, food and bar. People are rushing to get there food and drink, it was a bit like feeding time at the zoo.
It was very noisy around the pool, not very relaxing.
Entertainment not great, drag queens etc. Not really family entertainment.
We would not go back or recommend it to anyone.

Just back from the flamingo Benidorm hotel and cant say a bad word about it, the rooms were cleaned and beds changed every day and they took any rubbish you had left out away for you.
The staff were all brilliant and very friendly, the entertainment staff were wonderful we did not have any kids with us but they never walked by without stopping to say hi and they worked very hard all day and night, candy was the name of one of the entertainers and she was very nice and helpful to us she even took the time to come and wave when we were leaving, brilliant hotel.
You can’t fault the food there was plenty and plenty to choose from you don’t have to leave this hotel as it has everything.
I was there with my husband and daughter and her boyfriend and my son the youngest being 17 yrs old and we had a great time would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Benidorm and hope to go back next year, cant wait.
