only down side is distance from square which is not really an issue as its only about 800 metres up from it. Food the best spanish AI ive had - roast beef yorkie pudds roasties on sunday. entertainment varied - magic shows, acrobats,
plenty of room around pool and in the sunshine - not shadowed. room good size 1 bedroomed bur very high - 25 floors with 4 lifts.

I arrived in September for a girly week away with 4 of my friends!
Everything seemed to be fine up until we arrived at out Hotel to find out that for our all inclusive service we payed for we had to walk to Flamingo Oasis Hotel, Which meant if we wanted to use any of the services at this hotel we had to pay, this didnt really seem to bother us as our all inclusive deal was just across the road at a different hotel so we didnt want to make a fuss of a 3min walking distance.
When we got given our room key we wernt told what floor we where on just the number of the door and asking at reception didnt help as they couldnt understand us and had to call for another member of staff to help us.
We got stuck of the 21st floor which didnt seem to bother us being at the very top of the hotel until we went to the lifts to find 2 were out of service so only 1 remaining was working. The lifts itself were very small and could only fit 2 people with 1 suitcase which was a nightmare as there was 5 of us with only 1 lift workin going to the 21st floor. The lift took about 5mins to get to the top and u where practically gasping for air as it was sooo clostifobic and hot in them.
Arriving at the room I could not fault it 1 bit, Very very spacious and modern. The rooms were made up of a bathroom, a bedroom with 2 single beds, a living room kitchen and dinning table all in one with 2 sofas (if u have bad back problems i suggest a bed as these are not comfy to sleep on) and a spacious balcony.
The room was very warm and stuffy and as for air conditioning u had to pay about 7euro a day same as the safe in the room, we paid for this to find it was broken and couldnt get our money back for the full week we had paid for. We had no choice but to sleep with the windows open which at 6am u where woken up to bangin and blattering of workmen across the road building a new hotel.
On our 2nd day into our holiday we came back from the pool to get ready for dinner to find our toilet would not flush along with no hot water for a shower. Along with this we had no bog roll left our clean towels, bed sheets or the room swept. We went to reception to explain about our room which they told us maids come every 3days, as for the water situation from the 18th floor up the water pipes had burst and would not be fixed until the following morning. With nowhere to get washed or use the toilet incase of blockage we were furious. Lucky for us we met a couple who where based in the other hotel where are all inclusive was so they let us use their shower.
Food was traditional but the only downfall was u would have to be there dead on half 4 to get hot food unless u like it slighly cold and sitting for a while!
Entertainment was Bingo Bingo and more Bingo. Plus a karoke if u were lucky. Very poor!
I enjoyed my time outside of the complex but would not recommend this hotel for anyone esp with children as there didnt seem to be anything to do.

It is easy to see a downward trend at this hotel. Food at the same time last year was excellent. Now if there is a Y in the day beefburgers are on offer, shame no bun's. Chips! fat, thin, southern style each day. No veg choice, over a week we were offered carrots, peas, brocolli, sprouts NOT on the same day!. Fish full of bones, but if you can't find a special dish there is always a COCKAROACH who lives near where the salad is laid out, just under the plastic greenery. He has become a celebrity! He takes your mind off the poor choice, don't save room for a sweet. Same most day's, custard is inedible as it's too sweet ( maybe the COCKAROACH likes it, or it's a trap for his friends).
Rooms are large with balcony, lounge area, kitchen (no working parts or utencils) hall bathroom and of course bedroom. One tip it is to sleep on the sofa in the lounge, the beds are hard and uncomfy.
Allow plenty of time to use the lift's in the morning. Room maids have no option but to cart thery're trolley's in them, it is custom to find you have waited for what seems ages to find a spanish maid saying non possibely when the lift comes.
Entertainment HA !!! bingo, second rate (past it) entertainers, shame the hotel entertainers have so little to work with, and in fairness they try there best.
Your fellow guests can vary from a very young baby, hen & stag party's, to retired quiet people, ALL seem to be welcome!. On questioning the wisdom of this policy, the hotel say's they can not know who is coming so it's not they're problem.
Drinks at the bar are so weak unless you are normally tea total drink all day then go out for a real ONE! TIP! refuse ice, drink wine, or take your own. For a decent spirit at the all inclusive bar you will pay 3.20 euro.
Lastly I know we all are feeling the bite at the moment so be careful where you go for entertainment, we paid 8 euro for 1 lager & 1 brandy and coke at Sandra's bar, plus side to this loads of seats!

Just returned from a week at the Flamingo Benidorm, we had a great week. Food, Staff and alcohol all good, pity we had to go home. Room was lovely, cleaned every day too. We were 6 floors below the flood, so we were fine. Visit Terra Natura, its great value for money, but watch out for the shock of seeing the size of a Rhinoceros Penis. Also make sure you go to the Oldest British pub.... Vincents. good atmosphere and great staff. Also dont forget to go see Sticky Vicky and her daughter Demarie... how do they do it?

Our room got flooded clothes and some electrical items got ruiend, the day before flood i had my bag pinched from inside the hotel which has door security and cctv but the hotel refused to play it the door security did nothing. We had no apology from any member of management or sfaff. We later found out that the person who pinched my bag was a local, the police on the other hand were very helpful.Having my bag pinched was very distressful i lost my phone, camera and purse/money. Overall we would never recomend this hotel to anyone and couldnt wait to come home.

just returned from 7 night all inclusive stay myself my partner and 3 kids have to say it was absolutely fantastic, how people complain about this hotel i really dont know. the food is absolutely fantastic so much variety and plenty of it even for the fussiest eater there was something for everyone.the rooms are cleaned daily clean bed linen, towels provided daily hotel staff always cleaning on the whole the hotel was spotless. the staff are friendly and helpful the pool area was cleaned nightly and have to say although there were loads of people there we had no issues with the sunbeds by the pool never had to wait for a seat in the bars or restaurant.the lifts were a bit of a nightmare but to be honest this wouldnt have been half as bad if the parents of kids stopped them riding up and down in the damn things most of the day and evening.the entertainment was ok bit of a magic show , a hypnotist, couple of different themes generally suitable for kids but nothing really fabulous! Karaoke nights were great fun and the bingo although on every night only went on for 10-15 mins so really no problem. All in all i will definitely return to this hotel the kids loved it hotel spotless and fantastic food what more can you ask for!fabulous value for money

Best Holiday We've Had
10 / 10
Oct 2008, The Teesside Trio

Myself, Husband and 8 year old daughter just returned yesterday from the Flamingo Benidorm and we all thought it was the best holiday we've had, despite the weather being poor (we had one great day out of seven). The atmosphere was brilliant, most of the other holidaymakers were very pleasant. Ok there were one or two elderly couples who pushed us out of the way at meal times but we just laughed. The carvery food was excellent, Sunday lunch was great. One old lady ask why the plates weren't hot, the waiter tried to explain to her that as there were a lot of young children at the hotel they couldn't use hot plates, she wasn't very happy at all. I'll admit that some of the food that was served was cold but we just used the microwave to warm it.
It was our first All Inclusive holiday and it won't be our last. In fact I've already booked our May 09 and Oct 09 holidays - both all inclusive (not to this hotel though as we never go to the same place twice). As long as you don't expect a five star service then this is the place to stay. It was never packed at the bar, the queue was never more than 5 minutes. In fact the queue for the bingo tickets always took longer. We didn't see any stag or hen parties either, plenty of sunbeds just stacked up everyday (even on the sunny day). We loved most of the evening entertainment, not the hypnotist though, he was terrible and had an attitude problem. Everyone was bored for the 1 and a half hours he was performing. Even the entertainment staff could see nobody liked his act.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone, families of all ages, elderly couples etc.
Just don't expect 5 star treatment.
