Clarence Hotel

We have stayed in the Clarence Hotel for our trip to Windsor & Legoland, over the bank holiday weekend, the location is very convenient , just off Peascod street, 2mins. walk to the castle.We have stayed in a triple room on the 2nd. floor,the room was a bit cramped but it has all the necessary amenities you would normally expect, hospitality tray, electric kettle, hair dryer,two LCD t.vs, the beds were clean, comfortable with crisp linen, the room has a nice view overlooking the crescent. After seeing the photos on the hotel website and reading a couple of reviews, I thought the Clarence Hotel would be perfect for me and my family. I contacted the hotel and was told that they only had 'the suite' left available. This had a double room and a twin room and a bathroom. It was booked along with Legoland tickets as a package. We arrived at the hotel early after travelling a long distance and were warmly welcomed and promptly given our tickets for legoland. We stayed at the Clarence House in June 2006. The hotel is well-run, clean and everyone is very friendly and helpful. Our room was larger than it appears in the picture. It contained one double bed, one single bed, TV, closet, desk, hospitality tray and ensuite bathroom. Our room faced the back gardens which are very nice. The hotel is within easy walking distance of central Windsor and the castle.

We have just spent a weekend at The Clarence Hotel and thought it was perfect. It is more of a hotel than a bed and breakfast with it's own, quiet bar and reception area. Although the rooms are not huge they were very clean and definitely adequate. We booked a family room which was a suite with a double bedroom, separate twin room and bathroom. It was perfect. This B&B was within easy walking distance of Windsor Castle, and also the train station. We used this is a jumping off point for a day trip to London, so it was good to be easily accessible to the train. The staff was very nice, accommading us with our unplanned early arrival. The rooms were clean, though a bit cramped.
