For those looking for a once in a life time experience for children that have not sailed before this is a must.
What value can you put on photographs of your children 'tacking' for the first time, body surfing, wind surfing, snorkeling or on a hobbiecat.
Personally I enjoyed learning to sail -however there were plenty that already knew how too and they appeared to join us after the first week on a flotilla followed by a few days circumnavigating the British Virgin Islands.
It was an amicable mix of sailors and non sailors.
The accomodation was admittedly tired - however, to be fair they are revamping - hope their prices don't go up too much so that we can't revisit.
Plenty to do for those that are not sailing inclined - whilst I did learn to sail a dingy! There were opportunities missed - didn't attend all the yoga, pilates classes that I would have liked nor the fully equipped gym that was very busy at 6.30 am! Quieter at 9.00 am.
Would have loved to have taken a mountain bike out for the beginners class - although plenty level 2/3/4 that I saw but not that experienced to take up the offer.
As long as you bear in mind that Sunsail are catering to two markets at present and probably trying to still get it right you won't be disappointed - the hardy sailors that fancy going to somewhere in warmer climbs without taking their boats and those that want to experience the fun of sailing and other water sports - absolutely fab. for teenagers and younger you won't be disappointed.
Taxis aren't as cheap as they purport so would recommend budgeting for a hire car for at least two days if you like to see the local sights.

Club Colonna is a fabulous place to visit. Fun, friendly, and just the right mix of activity and quiet time if you wish.
Great for families...feel those stresses melt away. It never seems crowded and the staff are the friendliest in the world.
Do get out and about to see more of Antigua it is breathtaking and varies from coast to coast.
We cannot wait for our next visit!

This is sold as a sailing holiday resort and when you consider you have every type of sailing boat available every day for no extra charge it’s very good value for money.
We did find the “all inclusive" self service buffets a bit tiring but the food itself was usually fine.
Staff were a jolly lot and the accom was again ok.
If Sunsail and their parents First Choice Holidays could just wise up to the fact that not all over 40`s are senile and need to be treated like 12 year olds (with apologies to our younger readers) they would have a much better image.
As my dear wife said to me “if that girl welcomes us with the “" Hi Guys"" how are you all doing"" once more I‘ll drown her! They can’t help but do the same on their flotilla sailing holidays == bless `em.
If you want a sailing hol go for this.

The flight was delayed by about 8 hours and when we arrived at the hotel very hungry at 2 o’clock in the morning we were given a banana (had seen better days) and a can of coke. The hotel was very basic and so was the food.
The holiday was not cheap and was very disappointing. The staff were very helpful and the pool was nice, but if you don't like sailing then don't go. Antigua itself is a beautiful island and having traveled to the Caribbean a number of times I would say that this is one of the nicest islands. The people are really friendly.
A walk away from the hotel is a hotel called the Lord Nelson which has idyllic views and we had lunch there a few times and the food was exceptional. The lady who served the food was a lovely lady who gave a great service. Antigua is well worth a visit, but if you like a bit of luxury don't go to Sunsail.

This holiday was great and i would go again if possible. The resort has kid's clubs so you can let them go and make friends and have fun while you can do whatever you want. You could learn to sail or windsurf or you can go snorkling. Just off part of the beach is a great spot where i saw a puffer fish and a ray just swim past. This holiday is grteat for rwelaxing but if you want a bit more fun. you can go to shirly heights which has a great atmosphere and good food. There is something for everybody. If your bored, don't stay at the resort all day. Go and explore Antigua!!!
