Middle Of Nowhere
from grabowski
This was a total disaster . Their was no maid service, no change of linen, no change of towels, no cleaning, no replenishment of toilet paper, nothing. The property is a good 40 minute walk from Puerto Banus and at least 10 miles from Marbella. Their was no entertainment either on the resort itself, or, in the vicinity. Their was no restaurant on site, no supermarket on site, and one bar. the apartments themselves were nice but it was just as well we were a close family as every sound within the...

Would go back
from Booked-it-packed-it
Just got back from a long weekend at Aloha Gardens. After reading some reviews I was a bit dubious but on entering our apartment found all was OK. Yes - it is a bit tired here and there but in general it is clean and well equipped (the apartment next to us was being painted whilst we were there). We walked into town most days but got a taxi back and for the sake of a 5 euro taxi ride would reccommend this. I would definatly stay here again in Summer and found the facilites/accomodation excellent value for what we paid -...

Disappointing
from tximeleta
We stayed at Aloha Gardens for 8 nights (16th to 24th September 2004). We were quite disappointed about the standard and location of the resort. First of all, it is quite a bit further than 1 mile to Puerto Banus -- at least 2 miles, and not really recommendable to stay there without a car, as this place is in the middle of nowhere. On our arrival we were assigned an apartment outside the resort, next to a quite trafficated road. We did not even want to see it and asked for a more quiet location as we feared cars would disturbed our...

Great Value, Excellent Place!
from Sharpie180
We have just returned from a weeks stay at the Aloha Gardens, which we found to be excellent. I was very concerned having read some of the reviews, but they turned out to be (in our view) unjustified. We arrived at 9pm (reception closes at 7pm), to a sign on the door saying that we needed to input a code in order to get into the wall safe to get our room key- we had no idea about this, and so had to call out a security guard. Apparently we were meant to ring reception in advance to get the code, but this was not mentioned in any...

Great value apartments!
from Curly73
I stayed at Aloha Gardens for the Bank Holiday week at the end of August. It was a girls holiday and three of us shared a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment. We were very impressed with the apartment after reading some bad reviews. The apartment was nicely decorated and had everything you could need for a weeks stay. We all took our own towels after reading how threadbare the towels in the room were but they were fine so we needn't have bothered. Our room was on the ground floor so we had lovely gardens right outside our back...

Don't go - its awful!
from Tazyaz
We went to Aloha Gardens for a weeks break with my husband and two children but only stayed one day. The pool was closed and the bar/restaurant was closed - apparently both being refurbished! The accommodation was poor and basic and the complex overall needs some TLC to bring it up to even a 3* rating. There are many many steps so getting about with young children is very difficult. The reception staff are unhelpful if not rude at times. I can image that many years ago this would have been quite a nice resort however now it is tired and...

Fantastic Value Accomodation
from A TripAdvisor Member
I have just returned from a week's stay at the Aloha Gardens, which turned out to be a great value place to stay. Paying only around £400 for 5 people in July I was not expecting the world. However, our 'apartment' was more like a three storey house with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a spacious lounge, kitchen and two large terraces overlooking the main pool. The complex itself was great with 3 swimming pools and really beautiful gardens. Regarding the area, its true that the hotel is not in Puerto Jose Banus itself but in Nueva Andalucia...

Would we go back... no way!!
from 2J
Aloha Gardens.....first impressions of this complex is that it is shabby, run down and much in need of TLC. The reception staff were unhelpful ( I think the resort management and reception have little to do with each other as reception seem unable to solve any problems). We arrived early but were not able to check in till 4pm, but were offered nowhere to shower or change. The complex is like a maze and devoid of signposts. We were directed to the pool and found a pool with no water in (another great first impression!) After...

Perfect and Cheap!
from A TripAdvisor Member
My friends and I have just returned from 4 days at the Aloha Gardens. I was a little worried having read some of the reviews. All I can say is that it was perfect for us. There were 7 of us and our 3 bed appartment was amazingly spacious and well equipt for such a group! There was even a dishwasher- heaven! A few things that will make your trip better are 1. Get directions to the appartments from the airport in advance as our taxi driver didn't know where it was and we didn't speak much spanish! 2. Learn some of the language. For those of...
