Myself and my Girlfriend stayed at the Santa Maria hotel and we really enjoyed it. The hotel is beautiful and all the staff are really friendly. The room we were in was spotless and was cleaned 5 times in the 7 days we were there. The swimming pool is fantastic and there is a bar beside the pool that serves drinks and food for most of the day. I would highly recomend this hotel and hope you have as much an enjoyable time there as we did.

Firstly before i tell you the good stuff. This hotel is not playa de las americas ,it is in costa adeje, which is a good 45-50 minute walk to playa de las americas
This hotel is great! Had a lovely time. Clean spacious an good facilities. There are plenty of sunbeds an space for them. The pool bar offers reasonable food an drinks. open from around 10am til 6pm. There was however no entertainment around the pool at all.The pool is clean an a good size, and the is a lifeguard there at all times.
The rooms have full bathroom an hairdryer an plug socket. The kitchen has kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge, cooker. plenty for eating in. Sheets were changed twice an towels nearly everyday and the room was cleaned daily. The safe is a good size an digital. Cost 28 euros an you got 10 euros back at the end. There is a fan above the bed which was lovely at night.
There is evening entertainment every night but it is spanish dancing mostly an a parat show, oh an BINGO! Might have been because of the time of year an that there was alot of spanish people staying.
Don't change travellers cheques at reception the rate is rubbish an they charge commission. There are plenty of places to cash them commission free just outside the hotel. An one last thing the hotel is up a very steep hill so take this into accont when booking.

I went here last summer with my mam and friends.
It was amazing the rooms were spotless and had very good entertainment. The staff were lovely. It was on the to of a little hill but was nice because it was out of the way of the noise in the night but it was only a two minute walk down to all the pubs. The beach was five mintes away if that. I enjoyed it so much im going back again this year.
Everyone is lovely, if your a lively family with children you are sure to love it!

Me and my girlfriend stayed at the Santa Maria for a week in September 2007.
The hotel is spotless. Pool area is clean and there was always plenty of sunbeds.
The hotel is situated in a great place in Costa Adeje, a short walk to the beach, pubs, restaurants etc.
We never actually ate in the hotel but was told that is was expensive.
Be warned that you do have to pay a deposit on your room as soon as you arrive, which you do get back when checking out.
We had a brilliant time and would definitely stay there again!!

My Mum and I stayed at the Santa Maria between 9th-23rd December. We had stayed in the Costa Adeje area a few years before, however we were unfamiliar with the Santa Maria.
We travelled independantly and it was the best thing we have ever done, and would recommend it to all.
We arrived at the hotel and was given a room in the basement. The view was not great, and we were situated right next to a service lift...which we assumed would be used at all hours for transporting food etc up to pool side bar. However the TV was broken, so we didn't have to pay for British TV! We went and spoke to someone on reception and he understood exactly where we were coming from. He informed us that they were currently fully booked, but he would be able to provide us with a more suitable room in 2 days time. We accepted this and waited two days to be moved.
The majority of the guests were German, however we didn't find this a problem.
Two days later we arrived at a room which had the most beautiful view. The room was lovely and cleaned reguarly. Towels were changed every two days and the maids were very friendly and approachable.
Hallways were quiet and noise was only heard on change over days. The pool was clean and there were plenty of sunbeds. Only problem with the pool was the odd wiff of sewage...but as a regular to tenerife we were used to this. The sun bed mattresses were also wet in the morning, and despite being cleaned daily they could have been cleaner.
The hotel is surrounded by shops and restaurants which is very handy, and noise from surrounding premises isn't heard, to a huge extent, as the patio doors really do keep the noise out!
Beach is just a short walk down the hill opposite the hotel enterance.
If you are looking to book excursions do use Direct Excursions...they are based at Fanabe shopping centre, just a short walk away from the hotel. Quality of pick up and excursions are high, and we used them a few times over the two weeks. The island tour is a definate recommendation!
The best supermarket is located San Eugino Shopping Centre which is up the hill in the direction of Harleys American Dinner, which you will see on the way to the hotel, as you have to pass is on the way to the hotel. Overall its the cheapest supermarket and pretty much have everything you'll need...theres also lots of shops near it, inc. perfumery etc.
Overall the hotel is in a fab location, is clean, has friendly staff and has a lovely pool. Everything you'll need for a lovely holiday.

Me and two other friends stayed here for a week at the end of September, when we arrived we had to walk up a slope to the hotel with our bags past a Indian restaurant and a greasy takeaway shop which wasn't very pleasant getting stares from them.
The beach inst very far at all from the hotel, the pool is slightly cold but still really nice and lots of sun loungers which was handy as it was very busy when we were staying there. Drinks from the pool bar and average prices, and so was the food but if you go self catering and deicide one night that you would like to eat in the hotel i would strongly advise you not too if you are budgeted with money as it is very expensive.
The hotel rooms are very lovely, we had a two bedroom apartment two single beds in each room, we had a very large balcony, the view wasn't great we were faced against a shopping centre but we still had plenty of sun. The kitchen wasn't greatly applied with cooking utensils so wouldn't advise you to cook a lot of meal inside your room.
There is lots of stuff to do in the day time and the evening. The first night we were there it was Wednesday and was the foam party night, it was 30 euros for transport and all free drinks as many as you want, don't go in your best clothes i went in pumps, hot pants and a corset with my bikini top underneath, when we got there it was quite boring it was like a gladiator fighting thing and a DJ and then they moved that out n got the music going which was dance, trance and techno and the foam came out like mad which was really fun, they have two showers either side of hall so you can rise your self of the foam, and the toilets where nice too, they had a massive bar and a part where you can pay 5 euros and leave your stuff with lockers, the party lasted about 3 to 4 hours. Beware some clothing may go see through.

Wow! What a lovely set of apartments. When we arrived we did have to walk up a slope with our cases and after a four hour flight and delay it wasn’t too good, but in fact it’s not that big.
We arrived and the staff weren’t too friendly. They also have a non-English security guard which isn’t too good.
Pool is lovely, manned by a life guard, but he doesn’t speak english.
The rooms are fantastic. Lovely pool view, everything you could ask for.
English TV shows too for a euro which is great value. Pool food is fantastic value for money, I never once finished my plate. Always enough sun loungers for everyone.
Lifts are always working never had trouble with them. Could easily buy an English paper in reception and post cards and stamps, good exchange rate on traveller’s cheques. First choice rep was never there and flight times don’t go up until day before but that’s not to do with the hotel.
Never saw any cockroaches or insects!
Lovely location - Fantastic hols!

I just arrived back from 7 nights in the Santa Maria Apartments. It was me with my girlfriend and we could not fault the service provided by this place. Although it is only a three star resort, the cleanliness of the place was impeccable. The pool was always clean and manned by a life-guard, rooms were cleaned everyday. Due to the fact we were self-catering, we only ate there once but the food was good and there was a large selection. We were dropped off and picked up right at the door as stated and it is situated right next to bars restaurants and pubs. It is approximately 15 minute walk to the beach and 20 minute walk to the night-life spot (for the younger people) taxi there or back was around 6euro.
All together, a fantastic holiday and we would go back there again tomorrow!

Just returned from Sana Maria, this was the third time we have rented the same private apartment. The Santa Maria is ideally located for shops, bars and beach.
Very clean. friendly staff. Lots of options for eating out - all very reasonably priced. The Asia Gold Indian restaurant directly next to the Santa Maria is well worth a visit, the food is fantastic. As is Mario's steak house on the top road. St. Eugen's is a good night out if you’re not easily offended!!

Just returned from Santa Maria with my husband and 3 children. The rooms were kept very tidy with the maids even though ours never spoke much English, she was always willing to try and help.
Our room was first floor with pool view which was excellent. Pool was always kept clean and tidy but you had to get up early if you wanted a sun bed which was the only down side by 9am all beds would be gone.
Bar staff were very friendly and the entertainment man was fantastic. He was always friendly and great with the kids. In two weeks we only had 4 cockroaches which had being sprayed because they were on there backs which meant to me the hotel were keeping them under control.
Many bars and restaurants to choose from would highly recommend Heads and Tails which is about a 10 minute walk but well worth it, food great and very cheap.
Would return to Santa Maria again in fact we are looking for Christmas.
