This hotel was not at all what we expected. Although we had read some reviews before hand and were slightly apprehensive we were determined to enjoy it.
The hotel itself is A GERMAN CLUB 18-30 equivalent, everything in this hotel is in Greman, although the staff speak passable English and are friendly and helpful, we felt totally out of place here, the majority of guests are groups of Greman boys/girls between 18 and 24. We did not find them friendly at all, even though i speak reasonable german, they just looked at us as though we were aliens.
The pool area is lovely, but the DJ starts at lunchtime (in german) and doesn't stop at all, they play music, and games (team and drinking) all day, if you don't join in the staff come around and throw water over you.
The hotel is not the one in this photo, it's all low level apartment blocks, NO BALCONIES or AIRCON - don't be fooled by the brochures. I must say that maid service was almost daily, and the rooms although very small and basic and outdated, were always spotlessly clean, our sheets/towels were changed 5 times in a week.
The food is basically a free for all, the germans aren't big on queues and will just walk infront of you if they want something, we only ate here twice, it's okay, but very german oriented.
There is a nightclub on site, so it's lively until early hours of the morning, we were woken every night between 3 and 6am by noisy guests.
The hippy market actually takes place in this hotel, so don't expect any sleep at all on Wednesday mornings, we were woken at 5am by traders setting up stalls!
The positives are the location, just a couple of minutes walk each way from the beach and Es Cana, which is a small town, but very nice. We went to the beach every day - 9 euros for 2 beds and a brolly - and ate in Es Cana most nights - chinese was nice, and good value, Athena has beautiful food although you may have to wait a while - it's worth it, the mussels are divine!!!
Taxi to Santa Eulalia costs about 10 euros each way, it's much bigger and nicer than Es Cana, I would go back to Santa Eulalia, but probably not to Es Cana, and definately not Club Punta Arabi! Please don't take children here, this hotel is really not suitable for them at all!

This has absalutely been the holiday from hell for us. A complete nightmare.
It is completely a 18 - 30's german orientated place to stay.
On a arrival, we were 'jeered' at by 3 german couples, who made absalutely no effort to hide the fact they were laughing at us.
There was NO FRIDGE!!! This horrified me more than anything. Upon seeing the rep, Kevin, he said we could move somewhere else for 250 euro's or hire a fridge for 55 euro's. We hired the fridge and felt slightly better.
We were woken in the early hours every night by germans coming back to their apartments. Mid-week, we actually had apples thrown in our room at 4.30am. Even after that, we couldn't sleep because of the people setting up stalls for the 'hippy market' at 5am. Because of this, we spent more money on hiring air con for the rest of our duration as we were too scared to leave our windows open.
There are NO BALCONIES!! Instead you will be sharing the space with 3 other apartments (if you are upstairs). If you are downstairs, you will only have gravel.
Poor lighting, discusting food, the list goes on and on.
Thomas Cook certainly gave us the worst holiday ever possible.
Even on the last day, we weren't picked up by the transfer bus and luckily took our bank card to hire a taxi to the airport.
We ran out of money because of all the hiring we had to do, for things that should come as standard (like fridges).
We only met 2 other british couples at this place, the rest were german.
Whatever you do, DON'T GO HERE!!!
