To give this 1 out of ten was only because the rooms were clean and well kept' the cleaning staff were the only friendly staff in the hotel.
The storey begins.
On arrival at the hotel we were greeted by who can only be described as the Rosa Kleb of receptionists (the only thing missing was the dagger in the shoe) who informed us that despite being on her computor she would not book us in as we did not have hotel vouchers, after a period of wrangling she finally relented and reluctantly booked us in.
After a long days travel all we wanted was a drink and possibly some food???
After settling into the rooms we all met up in the bar where all drinks were self service, not to bad if your partial to a wasp & coke as an appertiser.
It was also apparent that the hotel catered for predominently German guests, not a problem if you could speak, read and write the language.
We then went to the restaurant for dinner, as we were a bit late the place was relatively empty and the selection on offer was minimal, cold and in some cases unidentifiable.
Hoping this was a one off we retired to bed hoping for better the next day, how mistaken we were.
Not wishing to bore people so i will summarise:-
The staff (with the exception of the cleaners) were unhelpful and unfriendly.
The food served up for luch and dinner was disgusting.
We saw more of Lord Lucan than we did the rep.
If you has children they would have starved.
They had the audacity to charge for sunbeds on the beach.
I,m not going to list any more as I,m becoming depressed, we have been to the Greek Islands for many years and stayed in some lovely apartments and hotels, this i,m afraid was not one of them.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

I loved the Hotel. The relation cost/benefits are very good. Food is good enough.
You can drink all the day beer and wine with no additional cost. Very nice swimming pools.
The staff helped me when I suffered a personal accident and they were very kind.
Is not a luxurious hotel, but it is quite good. I strongly recommended it.

This hotel was a typical 4* hotel for Europe the hotel itself was good rooms clean and plenty of storage space, medium/large bathroom with constant hot water. The air conditioning was a boon as the weather was hot no noisier than any other hotels I have been to.
The 2 pool areas were good with pool and surrounds cleaned every day plenty of sun beds at the pool nearest the reception area the other one were more crowded, no bed saving at the first pool but I never used the other one.
Food was good although a little boring as same meats each day but cooked differently i.e. 2 x chicken dishes,2 x pork and some days 1 x beef but all meats were very tender ,plenty of pasta dishes and lots of salad but vegetables were a little sparse ,desserts were good and good selection each day.
Staff were friendly and helpful but some didn’t speak good English but always found someone who could if needed. All drinks were self administered and good selection, yes there were wasps at the outside drinks dispenser but that is no different than eating alfresco at home, no flies seen around the food at any time and no mossiest all the time I was there but on return journey other people had been bitten but they stayed in other areas all over the island so who knows?.
The only down side to this hotel that I could see were the lack of Brits but if you are going in a group this would not be a problem and the beds were hard but people staying in the other hotels said the same so probably all get beds from same supplier.
I would not recommend this hotel for single travellers although there were allot of single people from all countries including me. It is a peaceful and relaxing holiday place if that’s what you want.
Buses to Kos town were 2.40 euros and take about 25mins.

The hotel should not be rated a four star but more like a 2.5 star. The food is repetitive and not very good. I have two children and they struggled with the food. There is no snack bar, they cook pancakes 1-2 mornings a week by the pool and you can have ice cream at the taverna from 4-5pm.
There is only two places where you can get free water dispensed. This is very slow and only open at meal times. The pop is very sweet and the mosquitoes are very bad here. There is an aqua park which is very good and it is about a kilometre away.
There are 2 supermarkets just outside the hotel which doesn't really sell much. Also there are 3 bars which do meals, but in the evening they will only cook pizza. There is a bus that goes into Kos town every couple of hours and it will cost 2.10 Euros each way. The hotel also charges you for sun beds on the beach.
If you want a quiet holiday this will be ideal as there are only a handful of Brits all the rest are Russians, Germans, Bellarussians, Dutch, Italian, Czech Republic, so you will be the minority. The entertainment is very poor and if you have children they only do a children’s club, but this is not in English and then there isn’t much more after that. Also the staff could be more polite; they do not speak very good English.

I can't believe some of the other reviews and scores of 1 out of 10 regarding this hotel. We visited Kos for the first time last year and while the accommodation was basic it was adequate. Our family thought the food was very good with plenty of choice even for two fussy sons. The was an excellent selection of drinks available and you just helped yourself - can't get fairer than that!
The staff at the hotel were very friendly and we were made very welcome. The owner of the hotel - Christos, would mingle with the guests on a daily basis and was always happy to see you (you don't often get that personal touch).
The only drawback was that there were limited numbers of Brits in the hotel but we made some friends and still keep in touch.
All in all we would recommend this hotel to anyone on a budget and a holiday is what you make it!

I visited Kos island with my family and we stayed at "Princess of Kos Hotel".
Our expressions of this hotel are generally very good about accommodation, staff, food, and service in generally. Of course there are more luxurious and more modern hotels but I believe, that you take more than you pay.

Definitely not a 4 star hotel - more like 1 star and even that’s being overly generous so I would highly recommend that you do not go to this hotel unless you enjoy eating extremely poor quality food and drinking fly infested drinks.
In hindsight, it was cheap for an all inclusive (£335 for 7 days each incl. flights) but we thought this was because we were booking a short notice last minute bargain so we trusted the 4 star rating - If you are going with Med Hotels be aware that the rating is not an official rating but given by the Greek authorities depending on the facilities not necessarily on the quality of food and service so check out official rating before you book (see clause 17)
We decided to take an AI option so we didn’t need to worry about cost of breakfast, lunch and drinks during the day as we planned to eat out in the evenings (even though extra cost) as we enjoy experiencing local restaurant/taverna atmosphere as opposed to buffet night after night. We arrived at about 2pm, checked in to a basic room (which was what we were expecting for Greece and to give praise where due it was clean) and then decided to explore and go have lunch straightaway.
All the pool and beach areas within Princess were like a ghost town yet the hotel Neptune next door which incidentally looked beautiful was heaving - I wonder if that had anything to do with what we were going to experience next???
The two members of staff were pretty indifferent even though it was obvious we had just arrived and needed some guidance of where to go. Lunch was a buffet made up of separate bowls of tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, some sad looking French beans, a few burgers, some pork slices in a unidentifiable sauce and cold chips. It had obviously been sitting there uncovered for a couple of hours so was all very dried up and sad looking and to make matters worse was covered in flies. You helped yourself to drinks which didn’t bother either of us until we realised that meant using help yourself either room temperature wine or a Fanta and coke machine covered in flies and wasps so we decided on a bottle of cold beer straight from the very large and well stocked fridge.
Needless to say we ate nothing, as wasn’t a case of IF you get food poisoning but WHEN! We then sat round large clean-ish pool area by the beach which again had a self serve optic, wine and soft drink machine covered in wasps and decided to request a transfer there and then. After a 4 hours of constant calling eventually managed to speak to John at Med Hotels and he gave us 2 options (both of which would cost us more) and on John’s recommendation we decided to move to 5* Iberostar Panorama just outside Kos town the following day on a Half Board only basis at extra cost of £150.00 and a 30 min taxi ride.
To give this hotel just one more star rating then the Princess was an insult to the Panorama as the facilities, staff, room and food was excellent - only down side is we did spend more money than we originally anticipated on drinks during the day but it was well worth it.

Well where do I start, our plane landed in Kos at about 11pm, after collecting our luggage we proceeded to the transfer coach where our rep told us our original hotel (Akti) had been over booked and we would be staying at the Princess, which was suppose to be all inclusive turns out it was far from all inclusive.
We stayed here for 2 days, by this time finding out there was about 20 of us that had been put into this other hotel (GENUINE MISTAKE?????)
People there were miserable, the food wasn’t worth risking and you had to pay for a sunbed on the beach.
After the two days we were then transferred to the Akti Hotel.

Just arrived home from a week in "Princess of Kos" hotel.
Kos is nice… The Beach of the hotel is good. but… That’s all!
The hotel is 2-3 star hotel. Old, Not Clean, Food is below 3 star, no Shampoo, Shower steam = drops, smell of Cigarettes in room, mosquitoes anywhere, TV 20" with 4 channels, no WiFi / Internet in room, Nothing is close to the hotel (You will need a car).
So find a better Hotel !!!
