We booked this holiday throughh Co-op Travelcare, we had never considered going to Turkey before, but was shown the hotel in the brochure, which looked fine and felt confident as we were booking with Co-op. We arrived at hotel 6.30am by 7am. we went back to reception to ask... more

The Worst Week of My Life!!!
We have just returned from Ovacik in Turkey & we stayed at the Tlos Hotel, it was the most awful week of our lives. When we arrived at 6am we were devastated at the look of the place but my partner & son said maybe it will be better on the inside! The first room they gave us was disgusting & no bigger than a rabbit hutch (for 3 adults) the back door didn't shut & there was blood on the so called furniture, there was a really bad smell of sewerage aswell which you could just not get away from,i burst into tears so my partner got our cases & sat in the lobby & demanded to be moved, we were eventually moved to a room just as dirty but a tiny bit bigger. The food was terrible there was no entertainment at all, when you asked a member of staff anything they just laughed they didn't seem to care! The whole thing was a complete nightmare not just for myself & my family but almost everyone else felt the same. I personally would not recommend this holiday to anyone... not even my worst enemy!!!!!
Great Value
We booked this last minute and was not disappointed. We knew the rooms were basic but what we paid for the holiday we were not concerned. The rooms were cleaned every day including changing the bedding daily. On our last night there were rose petals on the bed. All the staff we met were extremely friendly and could not do enough to help. I was with my partner and child and met up with a group of women and encountered no problems with the male staff and they loved the children playing and entertaining them. The food was bascic serving chicken, fish and kebab style meat but with fresh salad laid out every day and the deserts were delicious. The only small complaint is the staff wll try to sell you cocktails at about £5 each and other guests complained they could smell the drains on the lower floors but again we did not experience this. Over all this was a great holiday and I definately would go there again. It had beautiful surroundings amongst the hills, It was great value for money and everyone there including other guests were extremely friendly. I would recommend the turkish baths, and the local market but be prepared to haggle. And bring lots of mozzie repelllant.
Els Bells Exists at Tlos!!!!!!!!
DO NOT CONSIDER THIS HELL HOLE!!!! Having endured a 2 hour transfer (having been told by the rep it would only be an hour???) we checked into a hotel that was situated on a very steep hill with absolutely nothing around it, the room we were allocated was probably the smallest we have ever stayed in with two dogey beds, paperthin curtains, a wardrobe that had the doors hanging off and filthy walls, the bed sheets were not the cleanest and in the main were holey (like the towels)! we were offered a mini-bar (empty fridge) at an additional cost of £15 per week, although we don't know where we would have put it as the room wasn't big enough to take us let alone a fridge! when we used the shower the entire bathroom flooded and we spent every evening wading through water trying to encourage it to disappear down the plughole. Every room had a problem with its door, none of them actually fitted so it had to be slammed, mornings and evenings were noisey to ay the least. We did complain to the rep but she didn't seem surprised and mostly agreed with what we had to say?????????? The food was diabolicle and for an all inclusive we spent meal times elsewhere as it was totally in-edible, god help you if you were a child or a vegetarian!!!!!! All in all this was a total waste of money, on the plus side we met some great people!
was ok but wont be returning that for sure
went with goldtrail the rep was very arugant and didnt give an [--]if u had complaints we paid for 7 nights all inclusive and only got 6 and half days and when we had to check out at 12 our all inclusive stopped to and had to pay to eat and drink but if u get friendly with other guests get them to get ur drinks , the rooms r basic and the shower floods the room cause the floor all one level so keep an eye on it lol , the food not so great but u would expect a little more choice cause if u a fussy eater u will be living on chips and bread , so do expect to eat outside the hotel if u have the money which can be cheap and much better than the hotel but u would really expect to pay out on an all inclusive really ,the pool is a nice size and the views r lovely especially when u watch the sun set over the mountains , there is no entertainment at the hotel so can get boaring at night , the bar staff are pritty good but girls watch out they will try there luck even if ur with otherhalfs even the young girls but have a word and they should be fine they r a good bunch and keep u going at night do expect loud music and tell them to turn it down if it to much well hope ur stay is a bit better x
Tlos must be in the running for the WORST HOTEL in the world award
DO NOT CONSIDER STAYING AT THIS HOTEL.We arrived at this hotel after travelling all night and after the total confusion shown by reception as to our booking we were shown to what can only be described as a tiny dirty room with smelly sheets and towels,And calling it basic would be a compliment.Paint and plaster was missing from large areas of the walls and the door onto the tiny balcony had a very large gap around it allowing access to every flying insect. We sampled the resturant for breakfast and decided we could not risk a second visit the quality of the food was not acceptable if we wanted to avoid health problems and the bar area at the pool was in need of urgent attention from a cleaning crew .We complained to the goldtrail rep asking to be relocated she refused to do anything but she did tell us that she had complaints every single week about this hotel the rep was no help whatsoever. Our stay at this hotel lasted aprox 8 hours their was no way that we were going to sleep their, after a taxi ride into aludeniz we found a fantastic hotel and really enjoyed the rest of the week.
Basic but clean. Rep was useless. Don't use Goldtrail!!
After a two hour delay we eventually arrived in Turkey to be told by the transfer rep that the hotel had been overbooked and that we would have to stay at an alternative hotel for one night. The rep did say that the hotel was not all inclusive but that transport would be laid on to take us to Tlos straight away so that we would not lose out on the all inclusive. When we opened the letter from Goldtrail it actually said that we would be in the alternative hotel for three nights. When asked the transfer rep said she had no idea and that she had only told us what she had been told and that she was in a hurry because she was going out for the night when she had dropped us off. All together the were 5 couples having the same problem and we all insisted on meeting the actual rep that night but when the tranfer rep phoned her she said she was to busy and would meet us the following morning. Guess what, she did not turn up. The next day we wnet up to TLOS and she eventually turned up for the welcome meeting. When we started to complain about the mix up with the over booking she just turned round and said," do you want to do the welcome meeting or do just want to complain" her attitude was absolutely discusting and she actually said to several of us what do you want me to do about it its nothing to do with me. After speaking to several other guests who had arrived before us it would appear that this had been happening since the start of the season and infact it happened to other couples who arrived after us. The hotel was run by a bunch of kids who had no idea of customer service and did not want to know until it waqs the last day of the holiday and they wanted their tips. The food was absolutely crap and we did not eat there at all during the night as the standard was so low. It was actually brought up from another hotel just before meal times and not even warm. The resort was great and the people fantastic but I would definely advise anyone not to stay at this hotel and not book any holiday where Goldtrail are involved. The reps were only interested in going out on the beer and even missed some welcome meetings after we had seen her drunk at 2 in the morning the night before.
fun but basic
This was our first time in Turkey and if all the hotels are the same standard it will be our last. When we arrived on the coach i thought the coch driver had the wrong place i thought no wat are we staying here. well we finally got our keys for the room to say it was small was an under statment. I have been travelling for 20 years and never been so disappointed with the hotel. we had 2 single beds that you couldnt even walk between. the bathroom was so small you could sit on the loo wash your feet in the shower and learn your arm on the sink all at the same time. okay we saw the rep told her no way we were staying here for a week. Finally we got moved to a slightly larger room.we could get into bed with out having to climb in the bottom of the bed. The all inclusive was disappointing we thought we had paid for all meals and drinks this was only soft inclusive so no ice creams and drinks stopped at 11 pm. Any snacks that you needed through out the day you had to pay for. On a plus its the only holiday i have not bothered to get up for breaskfast cause it wasnt worth it, and i came home weighing less than when we went away so did my parnter. food very basic eatable if you like fish chicken and chips that was it. Of cause you could have paid for meals full breakfast steak dinners but at a cost which you dont want to do when you have already paid for all inclusive. we made the best of a bad job. we made some very nice english friends. The pool was good staff worked hard and long hours, what a shame that the rooms are so bad along with the food. Avoid this hotel like the plague.
Bit Stingy As An All Inclusive
We must have had the smallest room in the hotel or something cos cant imagine there being a smaller one than the one we had! Room was clean though and didn't spend an enormous amount of time in there, so not a problem really.Pool area clean although pool was small but not overcrowded so again, not a problem. When it came down to the business of All Inclusive though it seems you were segregated and treated as second class citizens alongside the guests paying at lunch and given an entirely different choice of foods to eat from a selected part of the menu with limited choice.(egg and chips eg)! Also after 11pm at night there was no such thing as all inclusive drinks you had to pay like everybody else or go to bed!By the way everytime you go to the bar on AI even during the day they make a big fuss writing down your room number ,making you wait etc ,its not just as simple as getting a drink and leaving!Your check out time is 10 am and believe me they cant seem to wait for your all inclusive time to end ,anything you have from the hotel after this time is payable for.No entertainment provided they kept playing James Blunt cd over and over and over again.FRIENDLY AND CLEAN BUT VERY TIGHT,thats how I would sum up the hotel.
first holiday away, basic but had a ball!! !
booked through goldtrail.com, was our first holiday away as a couple, the hotel was basic but clean, staff were brilliant, couldnt do enough for you, no lift, but not a problem. food was fine, drink was grand, pool and surrounding area were great. would advise you if your going go before the end of oct, we were just leaving as the weather was changing and if u have no sun or it rains the hotel tends not to have electric or hot water as the place is solar powered and they dont like to put on the back up generator as it is too expensive. location is up a steep rocky hill, so wouldnt recommend it for people with walking difficulties. i got what i paid for and more. we only paid just over £100 each. location is fine, not in the centre but only 10mins walk from the centre of things, and there are buses passing all the time. remember to throw bed linen or towels on the floor if you want them changed, this seems to be the same everywhere in turkey,
Basic but great fun
Just returned from a very cheap late deal to Tlos Hotel in Turkey. Take it for what it is, basic but fun with the most fantastic staff. Can be very noisy at night as the pool area is where the bar is, so rooms overlooking the pool are not really good for kids. However, the pool and sun area are fab, and the kids that were there seemed to be enjoying it. Please be respectful of families staying as the corridors echo. Food is hot, but not much choice, cheap to eat out though so no great problems. Loved Turkey so much we bought a place there! Go to Tlos, chill out and let the boys cheer you up with their outrageous flirting!! Please feel free to contact me for more details about Tlos.
