I have Just arrived back from Sunny Beach, the weather was nice and the beach clean lots of jellyfish in the sea which my daughter wasn’t keen on, there is a lifeguard on patrol as a small section of the sea can sometimes be dangerous.
I read a comment before I left about it being the Blackpool of Bulgaria more true than I realised apart from the fact at midnight all music stops and people go home or to the supermarkets which are open 24/7 unless you don’t have children with you then you can go to the nightclubs or casinos.
The food was ok but most restaurants had very similar menus usually barbecued meat.
Anyone going should beware the cycles, scooters and large holiday camp family bikes which are constantly whizzing up and down the prom constantly beeping and swerving round people saw several people hit by these.
The one bar we did spend alot of time in especially after midnight was the Tropicana formerly Labamba as the staff in there were great particularly Stefan, Vlod and Connie.
The Sokol hotel where we stayed is the oldest but it was clean and the maids came everyday but the rooms very small if one of you wanted the bathroom the other had to get on the bed so you could pass.
We also visited Nessabar which we believed to be an historic town when it is actually is lots of shops selling the same stuff and once you start walking you just have to go with the crowd or else.
Also beware my bag was stolen as I turned to look at a firework and judging from the amount of people in the police station next day its a common thing one Dutch guy went for a swim and his clothes were gone when he came back. This was the only holiday I’ve had when I actually was glad to come home and that was before I was robbed.

There were 5 adults and 4 children and we all loved it !!!!
The staff were really pleasant and helpful but the food was very poor but don’t worry because there are plenty of good restraunts the pool was a good size and there was a life guard at all times .The games room could do with upgrading .The rooms were clean and tidy and the maids were there every day .There is also a Jacuzzi by the pool.
the hotel is ideally situated . We have booked to go back next year and looking forward to it.

Sunny Beach was a lovely clean place. Most people were freindly. The food was extremely nice especially from the restaurants set back away from the beach.
However the hotel was dirty and staff were unpleasant. We found glass along the corridors and urine on the floor which was there for two days. As a result left a very unworldly smell. The rooms lock on the main door was damaged and the doors to the balcony leaked when there was a heavy down pour. We were situated next to a room containing other hotel workers, they stayed up until early hours of the morning making loud noises and taking items off our balcony. The mattress on the bed had large holes in. The room wasn't cleaned regularly and towels were not replaced and we had to reuse dirty ones for 4 days.
The staff were rude and not at all helpful. When we arrived and made a request to move rooms we were told to wait until the manager got in and even then she did not help. The staff were sat around until late at night gambling, drinking and smoking weed, this didn't make the place inviting.
The food was vile, it was greasy and looked like leftovers from a pig trough. There wasn't a great variety of choice.
Overall the hotel was a disgrace and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.
