My husband and I decided for a one-week stay at this hotel. We chosed from a catalog. The hotel was nice, but barely. It was supposed to be all-inclusive, but ice cream (turkish made), orange juice (Manavgat is orange country) and a few other things we had to pay for. I would certainly not recommend for a romantic week. The sea was beautiful though. I understand that this part of the turkish coast is "lost" now to Russian tourists, so we felt out of place. I have been going to Turkey for 30 years, and it was the first time I was so disappointed.

First of all, we discovered that the Lyra Hotel is an 80 lira taxi drive to the nearest town Side. Our room was accross from one of the hotel lifts and we were disturbed constantly with the lift beeping at all hours. However, the rooms were comfortable with nice sea view. The beach at the hotel was quite disappointing as it was stoney and needed some tlc but pool area was very clean. The reception staff were unable to speak any English and we have great difficulty communicating our problems to them during our stay. Entertainment was a bit dull with not much variation apart from the Lyra disco. Perhaps we would stay at the Lyra hotel again but the location was not lively enough for our us, and was more a 4 star hotel than a 5 star one.
