Oscar Hotel

A very good hotel in general. Very delicious food. Location is between the two main beaches: 15 min by tram to one beach (1.75TYL) and 30 min by bus (1.3TYL) to the other. Also a good private beach (4-5$) is available nearby with picturesque sightseeing. An eastern market and many interesting places are within a walking distance. The hotel lacks a more detailed map of surrounding places - a simple A4 taken from google would suffice.

Certainly not a Hotel for the plush, beach loving set but perfect location for bumming around the old city, taking in the sights and having frequent pit stops for refreshments. Rarely have I come across such a pleasant, helpful and happy staff group who did everything they could to ensure a contented stay - they really did try hard. Beware if you're hiring a car - the system of one way streets, blind alleys and James Hunt style drivers (showing my age) is fraught with dangers. Well worth a visit. Have a nice time.

Oscar hotel is an oasis in an interesting part of Antalya near shops and the old town. The charge for bed, breakfast and dinner is amazing with good buffet-style meals. They also forgot to charge us for all extra drinks. The rooms near the pool and treed courtyard are best , some of the other are noisy with poolside music and barking dogs. The staff were very helpful and there was a free laptop for guests use in the lounge area.

Good central location. You can walk to the "old town" within 2-3 minutes and it is central to the shopping district. It is located on a back-street, but this should not put anyone off of staying there. It also appears a very safe area. They have wi-fi in the lobby and if you ask on check-in, they might be able to put you in a room within range of the wi-fi antenna. For the price I paid it was excellent value. I booked this hotel at short notice via the opodo website, simply on the strength of the photo of the pool, it looked great, and was even better, the staff, well what can I say, they were great, most spoke very good english, and were very helpful, I spoke with the NEW manager who told me that he was renewing lots of things, and had replaced most of the staff, and made sure that the pool was cleaned every day, the rooms I found very comfortable for the room size, the only thing I missed food wise... more

First impressions of hotel were not very good. Tucked up a narrow, dirty side street. Once inside, an oasis in the middle of an old, sprawling town. Management very helpful and polite. Small problem, I have limited mobility and had requested a downstairs room. Was put up four flights of stairs in the old part of the hotel. Next morning, requested a move to a downstairs apartment and this was sorted out the following day. Was moved to a two room apartment for an additional cost of 68 TL for six nights.. newly added rooms around the lovely pool and gardens made this a good alternative to the overpriced old city. Staff were great, good evening buffets too. make sure you get one of the new rooms as the older ones are not yet renovated.

The male receptionist is the rudest and the most unhelpful I have ever seen. The hotel is old, smelly, at least 5 cats walk on the dining tables and leave their excrements everywhere. I was shocked to see that cats piss on the tables just before the dinner and the receptionist was just laughing at it. He also smells with alcohol all the time which is not pleasant. The hotel was fine. Great location, nice pool and garden but the staff was the worst I have ever met. Gave no attention to the guests, we felt they were unkind and a bit angry all the time etc. Even to get dinner served was a problem. Only two of them spoke english. The others didn't speak one word in another language than Türkish and that ment we couldn´t even order a Coke! A shame because the hotel was nice but the staff was so terrible.
