Loved the Sindy
On arrival we were made to feel we were part of the family at hotel sindy. Mustafa the owner and his staff could not do enough for us to make our stay enjoyable and hassle free. we had other family staying in other parts of marmaris but when they seen how we were being looked after they paid to transfer to our hotel. The pool was excellent and I witnessed thorough cleaning and the food was above the resort average. The rooms were basic but very clean and tidy with regular cleaning and sheet changing. Sky TV in the bar area and an excellent pool table, table tennis and playstatiion. I will be re-booking and look forward to meeting the team again soon. Nigel Kneale
worst ever place to stay
on arrival we were met by the manager who welcomed us we said the first thing we wanted to do was have turkish bath he recommened us to one that was connected to his apartments for 4 of us in total it cost us 255 lira pure con from the start weve been 2 turkey 3 times and should have known better 2 shop around for better deal we stayed at the pool 1 day then spent the rest of our holidays at club happy days were there was fun all day at the pool waiters there made our holiday fun every day after sun-bathing we went 2 sindy apart 2 get showerd and dressed for the evening the manager and his staff asked why we did not stay at his apartments and we said we felt they were pushing us 2 stay there 2 spend our moeny there when we came home at nite we felt very uncomforatable with the manager and his staff the hotel had no atphoshere the rooms were very depressing and dull the toilet filthy shower disgusting mice droppings on sink every morning the overall hygene distgusting ive been 2 travel agents were we booked it and told them it should not be listed in there brochore
Worst Place to ever stay
Just arrived back from turkey with my family. we stayed at the sindy appon arrival the first thing we said was when are we going home. the apartments wheretwo separtate blocks one on all the pictures you see the other you don't. its not disabled friendly. staff where always hasseling and very rude and intimidating towards the women. the rooms where really dirty we stayed 4 2weeks and had are rooms cleaned and beds changed twice after asking. bathroom was very dirty and small. shower leaked all over then floor shower head snapped. no cutlery. sofa bed looked as if it had been pulled off a skip. lots of cats around and one with a dead rat, which left, blood everywhere. food was horrible gave us doggie tummy we only ate there twice. pool shuts between 5:00 and 5:30. we where always hassled to buy drinks and food there. we always eat at a restaurant and apartments called sharas, which was fab the staff where friendly, and the food was great. we ate like kings for the whole 2 weeks there. It’s about a 5 min walk from the sindy. doors lock and can not get them open. when taking the key out of the energy saver it cuts all the lights and the fridge, which is no good for a hot country. pool was average never again I do not recommend this hotel. if anyone ever stays in armutalan i reccomend you try eating in Sharas u get treated like royalty and for a cheap price. Fantastic place to stay
We (2adults and 2 x 13 yr olds) stayed at the Sindy Apartments for 2 weeks in August 2008. It was recommended by friends and we were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome by Mustafa and Lisa (owners) and staff. The apartments are basic but clean and tidy, the maid came in every day to mop the floor and every few days the sheets were changed. Located in Armutalan which is a 5 min Dolmus journey from the beach/harbour/front, buses run every 5-10 mins, the bus stop is a 2 min walk away and the journey costs 1.25 lira. Personally I would prefer to stay in this area. Some good eating places/pubs within a 5 min walk. Nice pool area, Nice bar/restaurant, good entertainment, and staff who do all they can to ensure you have a great hoilday. The Guestbook is full of praise and many people return year after year. If you want all inclusive 5 * luxury then the Sindy is not for you but if you want a 5* welcome from lovely attentive staff in clean and tidy surroundings then you will enjoy The Sindy. We wolud definitely recommend Sindy and would love to return.
very wierd owner
went to the sindy apartments at the start of august there was 4 in my family and 4 in my sister-in-laws family. On arrival we were put in what reminded me of a dungeon it was like it was half underground (not a very happy chappy) anyway i complained before the manager had chance to leave us to try to settle in and he said that he would move us the following day, thank god, the room we were moved to was 100% better well pleased. Mustaffa, the manager seemed to be a really nice man at first . We have many friends in marmaris so we went out most evenings visiting people in a few various resturants, one day we were all sat at the amadaus bar and we noticed that hassan from sindys was sat accross the road watching us all, we didnt think much about it at first, but this carried on for the rest of our holliday and every time we went back to the hotel we were all given the cold shoulder, we also met some people from darlington who were reall nice they were also subjected to the same treatment, anyway apart from that we all loved the holiday and it wont put me off goin again even if it is to annoy Mustaffa the manager, I think he just wanted us to stay there all the time and spend all our MONEY there (Not a chance) Please dont be put off by my review as the hotel is nice
had great time at sindy
had great time at sindys, although we were staying across the road at club alladin.the staff at sindys helped make us very welcome.hassan mehmet and every1 else were great company,my daughter Carrie had best time ever there even when mehmet threw her fully clothed into the pool on the pool party night.would go and stay here anytime the location was great .plenty of bars and resteraunts nearby and the dolmus into marmaris itself was handy at just 1 lira.so if you are reading this go and enjoy at sindys apartments.
very happy with the Sindy
Stayed at the Sindy in the first two weeks of June 2007. Apartments are in a great location, especially for families and couples. It is away from the busy nightlife, but is surrounded by good restaurants and bars. It is a short bus ride, or a pleasant half hour walk to the beach, and the excellent nightlife on the beach front. The staff were great, very friendly and attentive. There was entertainment on almost every night, some fantastic break dancers, fire eaters and, of course, belly dancers. The BBQ nights here were excellent, but the bar food was not great-however there are plenty of good places to eat around the Sindy. Hotel was clean, and sheets and towels changed regularly, though some did look a bit old. We found the Sindy Apartments to be basic but clean with an excellent friendly atmosphere. The only warning I would give is do not buy any CDs or DVDs from hotel staff as we returned home to find we had purchased blank discs, which really affected our opinion of the Jose who sold them to us.
Been twice to sindy aparts n absolutely love it! and will defo be goin agen like
i absolutely loved my stay at the sindy aparts!! the rooms are brill and the bar is 24 hours :D:D!! BONUS!! hehe! i went to the sindy aparts in september 2005 and september 2006 and each time weve bin there theyve held a birthday party for my little sister who celebrated her 12th n 13th over there so they held her a party which we really appreciated as we didnt ask! and they bought her a cake!! Hasan that worked there in 2005 was wicked!! we still speak to him now on msn but hes moved to a different hotel. and as for mustafa... the man that runs the hotel with his english wife and 2 children are absolutely brilliant!! each time were over there he treats us like hes known us for a long time and treats us like family!! my mum and dad have loved it in the sindy aparts so much over the last 2 years that there goin agen in august 2007 for 3 weeks with my little sisters!! i would recommend that you definetaly go to the sindy aparts! if you do then tell him that stacy and her mum julie n ned from wales said hi and that my mum will see them soon!! i wont be goin this year as im in college and cant afford it!! well gutted!! hope you book at the sindy :D:D xx
Sindy Apartments
I noticed how sindy apartments had no reviews, so decided to write one. I last visited 2 years ago in june 2005, there was 4 of us in total- all female who'd just graduated, and it was our first girly holiday away. Sindy apartments is a smaller hotel then most, but has a lot atmosphere and its one of the nicest hotels ive stayed in. Everyones very friendly, welcoming (we arrived at 3.30am at the hotel), and it gives a nice family atmosphere. There were a few familys with kids that stayed there, and had a kids pool. Mixed aged group of people were staying at the hotel while our 10 night holiday. Almost all rooms have a balcony, with tables outside so you can have drinks on the balcony and enjoy the view. The food there was also quite nice and the lovely chef will try to accommodate for what exactly you like. All the staff are brilliant, ive forgotten names now but they were really sweet and had a hotel taxi that would drive us into the main area. Its located out of the main marmaris clubbing hotspot but to be honest i preferred it that way, especially when you just wanted to lounge around the hotel during the day. And you were able to have peace and quiet at night.. even though we were out most of the night! By the way just thought it would be worth mentioning.. there was a group that had re-visited marmaris and were staying at sindy apartments for the third time running. If you buy a drink at any bar of any hotel you can normally use the sun beds for free. Have fun, and do say a hello from the asian girls from london.. :)
4 star! Fantastic
Well i must say that my family and i had an amazing stay at the 4star Sindy. A fantastic atmosphere, great food, and the rep, Claire Wiiiilmott i think her name was, is amazing. Not only were we made to feel so at home and welcome, there was even toenails to greet us! I'll be back for more next year!
