" My daughter and I went to the Olympic... "

My daughter and I went to the Olympic games in Athens and used this hotel as a base.

We arrived too early to check in but as we had to catch the ferry back to the mainland Magda very kindly let us put our luggage in our room and gave us our key for when we got back in the early hours.

The hotel is very clean and comfortable. It even has proper shower cubicles (nearly unheard of in Greece). There was a good selection of food at breakfast and it was well presented. Nice pool and bar area with table tennis tables if you feel energetic. There is a lovely view to the sea from the pool area and most of the balconies.

The resort itself is nice and strikes a balance of not too quiet but not too in your face. There are plenty of restaurants and bars serving good food at reasonable prices. There is a narrow stretch of beach that is very clean and shelves gently.

Aegina is a lovely green island with beautiful scenery and its fair share of history. We would have liked to visit the temple of afnia (not sure of the spelling) but we did not have time but will certainly see it on my next visit.

The hotel is only 5 or so minutes from the ferry port so it is easy to get to the mainland to explore a little. It only costs 5 euros to go across.

We had a good but short stay on Aegina but I will be going back with my husband in the near future.
