Hotel Maria Luisa

We came as a family with 2 children (5 and 7), we felt very good. The staff was very friendly and everything there in the hotel and the surroundings made absolutely forget that the hotel is from the oldest ones. The place is close to capital Palma and has the only aquarium with dolphin show. The most valuable were: The nearby beach, the two swimming pools with lots of both sun and shade + a very good price/comfort ratio!

My Partner and I stayed at the Hotel HSM Maria Luisa and on first sight the hotel is in need of a good refurbishment. The hotel is so badly designed a real miss match of bulidings. I am fit man howvever at times the getting from our room to pool area was like climbing Mount Everest, loads of stairs and lift is so slow and always in use. Most of staff are impolite always rushing around, my partner got knocked by a waiter with a food trolley at dinner and he did not even apologise. Just returned from 10 days at this hotel. First reaction was horror nowhere on its listings does it tell you it is situated on the north face of the eiger. I have a 90yr mother and as you can imagine this was therefore totally unsuitable. We hired a car and just as well we did as my mother would have been confined to the hotel without one. We hired a wheelchair but was unable to use it in the location as none of us have muscles like Charles Atlas. I was in Maria Luisa last week of July and the first of August with my wife and 6 years son. 1) Location - 200 mts from a very nice beach but far (to walk) from everything else unless you have a car. This was not a particular problem for us as i hired a car at the Hotel (120 € for 4 days) and visited other points of the island. It's easy to park near the hotel. Have just returned from a weeks holiday at Maria Luisa, the hotel is a very good 3*. All inclusive is great value (good packed lunch if you go out for the day) the staff were excellent and the whole hotel was spotless. The food was good with plenty of choices. It is in a very quiet area with a small beach at the end of the road but not much else.It's very popular with the french as it used to be a French package holiday hotel but the fact that many of them have returned as independant travellers speaks volumes.
