Submitted By: royle957this has got to be the most friendly hotel in roda( stayed at a few) the rooms are clean and well laid out. hotel is loverly and clean fresh and airy breakfast room was well organised and full english option was exelent. the TV in the room was from greece but many english programes with greek subtitles.
the pool is fantastic nice and clean with a bar in the middle. poolside snacks and homemade ices. the staff are very friendly esspecily Anna and Spiros. i enjoyed it so much i have just booked for june/july 2010 the beach is about 10 mins walk but the village starts in 5 so its not that far to walk i whet with my daughter and 2 grandsons 3/12 we all had a greet time.
Advice: a very friendly village that needs to be seen first hand to see why people come back year after yea
Activities: try the hydoplas waterpark its great for under 15s. the restaurants are all good value
Good for: Beach

Submitted By: Mrs N GilmoreRoda is lovely, the sea is shallow for a long way out and like a warm bath. I can't wait for june ! Would recommend the Kind Hearted Place on the beach front, the Chinese place does the best spring rolls. We went on a Captain George cruise and had the best time. Good nightlife with bars , bingo and quizzes if you like that sort of thing, but we went to chill and it's perfect for that too

Submitted By: Miss L CoxshallI went with my boyfriend and 3 other close friends and we had a fantastic time there.
The rooms were clean and tidy, the pool fantastic (one of the biggest in Roda) and very clean. The snack bar round the pool serves great snacks all day, there is always a friendly face to greet you there.
The rest of the hotel staff are very friendly and most welcoming. Everybody made our holiday just perfect, will definitely be returning to the Pegasus.

Submitted By: Miss A DavisI quite liked the continental breakfast but my partner very much enjoyed the Full English Breakfast and bacon or sausage and egg rolls he purchased from the snack bar by the pool, it was great to have the choice as we did not always get up in time for the hotel breakfast. We were told that the hotel are aiming to improve their facilities such as, snack bar opening earlier for the alternative breakfast plus more nights of entertainment in the hotel. This year they had quiz and bingo, great fun, plus Greek nights.
The pool area is fantastic, very clean and well maintained with grass surrounding the pool which was also exceptional. All the staff inside and out were very friendly and helpful and we became more like old friends.
We quite like the beach but as the beach in Roda is not great we opted to stay around the pool every day and just relax. We did not book any trips through our rep as it was cheaper outside in the village, plus our rep was not very pleasant and he could be rude at times! The resort had plenty to offer and Acharavi was a short walk along the beach.
This was one of many holidays we have spent on Corfu and the Pegasus was the best hotel we have stayed in for a long time, we would go back at the drop of a hat.

Submitted By: Miss G TownsendBreakfast slightly boring, egg, ham, cheese, bread, cereal and yogurts, but enough to keep you going till lunch. No air conditioning in room so would recommend hiring a fan, also no fridge. On the whole the hotel was very clean and well looked after, can't wait to go again.
Hotel in close distance to shops and restaurants and the beach. Meals out I would recommend, New port, smiley’s and the Chinese garden, best Chinese I’ve ever tasted. All restaurants are good value for money and very friendly.
Trips out. We went on the BBQ on the beach cruise very food day, really enjoyed it and great value for money. Really good fun.

Submitted By: Miss R JuhosResort: Very nice resort with plenty to do, lots of bars and Restaurants (please avoid the OPA Restaurant, disgusting food, disputing staff...). Roda claims to have a few clubs one being the Drunken Sailor, not a club in my opinion just happens to close its doors later, leaving a small room with a bar, played seriously cheesy music! (Wham, Madonna..) If you are into that kind of thing though sure would have fun! 8/10!
Beach: I was very disappointed with the beach as I was not very big and not particular clean, although if you do venue a bit further the left or right, it does get nicer! Sea pretty clean and very shallow! 6/10.
People: Very friendly and welcoming (apart from those at the OPA! Men not too pervy (as you do sometimes get that abroad!) 10/10.
Rep: As most aware, reps just try to con you into buying trips, a trip to Aqualand was 38 euro, we got it for 25 euro! (Aqualand - worth a visit!) so don't be conned! Our excel/Libra rep, not particularly helpful, in fact didn't really see him! 2/10!
Overall I would give the whole holiday 9/10, Corfu is really beautiful and its definitely worth going!
Oh one other thing mosquitoes are really bad, make sure take plenty of spray as I got eaten alive!
Oh and delays are quite common at the airport which is very tiny!

Submitted By: Miss E McBrideThe hotel itself was beautiful. Very clean although I do wish there was service every day rather than every few days but ask for anything at reception and they're very good at helping you. The breakfast was very good, very varied, the pool was beautiful - I'm not usually the sit by the pool kind of gal but you'll understand why we did when you see the pool area!
Although we went in June, and it was quite quiet - ideal for couples and families. Only decent disco is in a pub called 'the sailor's' or something like that -it's in the shape of a ship. Staff very friendly there too! Some really nice places to eat - Maggie’s is one I recommend for a full English breakfast if you fancy it. For a more lively night life - head to Sidari or Corfu town - however Corfu town is very expensive - drinks are double the price of drinks anywhere else.
Warning: We hired a Suzuki jeep to go off and discover the rest of the island. I do not recommend you do this! Although it is definitely worth seeing the rest of the island - lots of spectacular views! It is not worth risking your life driving those roads you are not used to - with their mountain edge drops on either side - it's a very very, very hairy journey! We were never so glad to get back to the hotel in one piece!
Definitely recommend seeing the rest of the island - but take the bus like any sane person would - please!
All in all - I'd definitely go back - and to the same hotel - don't think there would be a nicer one in Corfu!! A holiday I'll never forget!

Submitted By: Mrs S J HartThe staff at the hotel were always ready to help and make our stay memorable. The hotel is nicely situated in Roda it is about five minutes walk to bars, restaurants etc and ten minutes walk to the beach, which isn’t Roda’s best feature. There are many gift shops to choose from where we found most staff friendly and English speaking. Roda has a good inexpensive bus service, which runs to Corfu town, Sidari and Kassiopi, which we found, ran pretty much on time and was air conditioned. All in all a very enjoyable holiday and a country we would visit again.

The location of the Pegasus Hotel is it's biggest drawback, it is situated on the main Roda to Sidarri road about 100 metres from a set of traffic lights which serve as the starting grid for the local boy racers. The traffic noise is almost constant and will intrude into your room even with the patio door closed, there is a brief lull in the traffic flow betwwen 02:30 and 04:00 it builds to a crescendo from 07:00 onwards. If you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing holiday look elsewhere.
The breakfast is rather unimaginative and consists of Ham, Tomato, Cucumber, eggs, fruit juice tea and coffee, some fresh fruit and croissants would have improved the experience.
Roda itself is a pleasant resort with a decent beach area and numerous tavernas and bars there is no shortage of choice for eating places.
We hired a car for 3 days and explored the island seeing many very picturesque places, beware the local drivers they are lunatics, they do not appear to have a highway code and simply do what they like, overtaking on blind hairpin bends is a common occurence.
The Greek night every Saturday at the Roda Oasis Hotel is very good.
Advice: A very pleasant resort and a good base to tour the island from, numerous good tavernas and bars.
Activities: Odysseus was our favourite eatery, visit Paleokastritsa and Kassiopi, Corfu Town is very busy.
Good for: Beach
