This modern complex offers good quality, comfortable accommodation which is perfect for families. The well equipped studios and apartments are located around the attractive gardens and pool area, which are ideal for soaking up the Majorcan sun. There is a selection of shops, bars and restaurants only a five-minute walk away, and the beach is just over 500 metres away.

Plazamar has 2 accommodation blocks - the main block that has been refurbished, and the block where reception is that hasn't been refurbished.
We stayed in room 5C in the old block - absolutely terrible - very very old fashioned room - FILTHY!! - Bath appalling - room service non-existent (twice in 7 days to change towels - no cleaning done though) - room was humming by the end of the week and our feet black if we walked bearfoot.
Staff all very friendly - but just did no work! Good location (10 min walk to Santa Ponsa)
Warning - lifeguard spends more time playing with kids than actually looking out for them in the pool - so keep an eye on your kids. One lifeguard accidentally hit a lady and her baby when throwing a ball - all out war ensued when both she and her husband ending up having a slanging match with lifeguard. Same thing happened a couple of days later with a different couple.
Hotel only worthy of 2 stars, not clean, and certainly not classy.
My advice, don't use First Choice or this hotel.

Hi. Had a lovey week in the plazamar apartments. Weather was fantastic. My husband and our 3 children thoroughly enjoyed it. Adele the entertainer was just fantastic with the children and so was Alex. There was great shows on every night for the adults and the kids just loved the games that were on all the time. Pool was lovely and really clean. Great places to eat were Tony's on the corner, Kellys, crocidilo's and Jackie's. We especially loved Tony's the waiters were so friendly. Rooms were ok, a little on the small side but the maid service was excellent. I would reccomend it for families with children. It was very close to the beach and shops, bars and resturants.

This is just a fantastic place to go for a holiday for a family, not really for a young persons holiday. We have just returned and are considering going back next year. The place is very clean, it is relaxed for families with lots of entertainment for the children of all ages. There is an apartment run Kids club for 3 to 10 year olds which is very safe and both of my kids asked to go there twice every day as they had such good fun. The entertainment for adults is really good fun and the evening childrens disco was just brilliant. There are only about 100 apartments and the entertainment area makes it really easy to keep an eye on the children whilst you can sit back having a drink - really relaxing. The evening entertainment is good with variety acts regularly booked plus the nightly bingo and quiz's twice a week. The studio apartments are big and we shared for 10 days as a family of four without any problems - my children being 8 and 4 years of age. The pool is clean and unlike all the other places I have stayed in the caretaker removes all the towels from sun beds for those who selfishly get up early and try to reserve them for the day whilst they lie back in bed or go to the beach. Therefore, if you want to lie by the pool you can as there are usually spare sunbeds but you need to stay there with the towels yourselves. Unfortunately there are only 11 parasols. It is quiet after 12mn. It is less than 5 minutes from the main Santa Ponsa area down a very popular and well lit street. Very friendly staff with excellent facilities, kept really well. Just to say Adele and Alex are fantastic with the kids and the adults as the entertainers -we have been to many family places before and they shine above all others.

Just back from staying in tha Plazamar, couldn't fault it,staff where excellent on arrival and very helpful through out the the 2 weeks that we where there.Rooms clean, decent size, great air con ( a must )overlooking the pool which was great with a goods size kiddies pool.Entertainment excellent kids loved it,Adele very good with the kids great fun..What was a good idea was that when you put your towels out you had to stay out no going back to your room otherwise the pool attendant would remove the towels ( proper order ).

We (2 children aged 5 and 3, my husband and me!) had a great time in the Plazamar apartments. Stayed for 1 week in a ground floor studio apartment. They were very clean and well looked after. The studio apartment was smallish but did us for a week!!
The pool was lovely and great size so that children could be watched at all times. We were here nearly every day!! Activities during the day and at night for adults and children, organised by Adele the entertainer who was great - full of energy. Kids loved her!
A 5 minute walk to the restaurants and the beach. Ideal for all - lots of choice - We ate in different places and all are very good. Toni's was great for breakfast!!!
Would definitely recommend this accommodation. It is away from the nightclubs and bars which are at the other end of the town. Perfect for families and those looking for a quiet holiday.

Just got back from a stay in the Plazamar apartments.....
Not impressed, nothing wrong with the location, nightlife or anything, just the hotel its self.
Maids are very noisy shouting at each other in the early hours of the morning, waking you up,
Hotel staff very rude, made us feel very unwelcome, and had a go at us for getting out the room 5 minutes late, like it was our fault the lift was broke? so we had to lug our suitcases down so many staires.
The swimming pool was nice, and the entertainment staff made it good fun.
The main bar man, he is very friendly, and makes you feel very welcome, your bound to see him from open to close in that bar, and he cooks good food, and a great BBQ every friday.

Myself and My Partner are just home from a week in the Plazamar. We had a lovely time although the weater was very disappointing. But it picked up on the day we were leaving. The apartments are basic but very clean. We stayed in a studio and our front door was over looking the pool which was lovely. I would recommend going to Crocodillos for dinner its fab. Although I did read that Jackies was a great place but i was disappointed with my starter. I asked for egg mayonaise and no tuna ( i just hate fish) and when it came out there were still pieces of tuna on the plate. Its like they just took off the heavy stuff. Mrs Murphys Kitchen is a good place to go too as its just like your mams dinner. Make sure you go to the "Shamrock", i loved that place we stayed three nights there. The bar staff are really friendly and its a great place for music although its irish music you still cant stop yourself clapping. That song "OH Santa Ponsa" we cant get it out of our heads. I would go back to Santa Ponsa but not in May because of the Weather. Other than that its lovely........

My parner and our two children have been home 4 days and really miss the place already....We have two children under the age of three and for us it was perfect for them because it was quiet and not too rowdy. The staff there were really good with our children and also local bars and restaurants we visited. The watering hole was a nice place but food took a while to appear but at the same time whilst our children were getting bored they brought out toys and books for them which helped a lot.
Rickys was very good value for money slightly better then the watering hole. Which could be quite expensive.
Thew only thing that let the holiday down but only slightly was the weather it rains quite a lot the last 3 days...we were litural stuck int he apartments for two of them days because the rain was so heavy and there was virtually nothing that you could do not to bhad for the kids club but as our children are under three it was a struggle to keep them amused as there was no t.v... Yes you can go to the lounge but again when there are older children they they tend to watch thing thats are bit more grown up for the boys. I only saw one first chioce rep throught the week and thought that was odd concidering other places they have been all over the place.
I really did enjoy my holiday there....As for the rooms I dont think they were that small i mean there were two beds one on the floor and a cot and i thought it was fine...the view is amazing we were over looking the pool and it was soo lovely. I loved it so much.
I was 32 weeks pregnant when I went and it just made me totally relaxed even when i have two little boys.

Having just returned yesterday from Plazamar apartments I have already been looking into booking for next year!
We had an absolutely fantastic holiday here and can’t think of a single complaint!
I and my boyfriend stayed for 8 nights in a studio apartment which was very spacious with fantastic air conditioning and the apartment was well equipped with everything you need and more items to hire if needed.
The cleaners came into the apartment every day except Sunday and did a great job and fresh clean towels every time!
The food in the bar was fantastic with a large selection to choose from and very fairly priced as restaurants in the surrounding area could be a little pricey.
The staff were all very friendly and more than happy to help with anything!
As we were just the 2 of us we didn't use the kids activities and club but it looked great they kept the kids busy while the parents relaxed and the kids seemed to be having a great time, this is a wonderful place for families and I will be taking my 2 children with me next year!
We didn't have any problem with the sun beds probably due to being the end of season and fairly quiet there was plenty for us to use.
The weather was beautiful although we did have a couple of storms this was expected in October and didn't spoil our holiday as within a couple of hours it was beautiful again.
Santa Ponsa was lovely and the people were all so friendly, I always felt safe and didn't see any kind of trouble throughout the whole time I was there, it was a nice peaceful area.
The airport was just 30 minutes away by car not sure on taxi prices as we booked transfers.
The beach was a short walk away as was the main strip which had a fantastic atmosphere in every bar we went to which was all mainly Irish bars, and even though it was getting close to the end of season they were almost all open and stayed open till 3am and some 4am where everyone was enjoying themselves it was great!
We spent most of the end of our evenings here in the Dubliner which had great bar staff in Ray and Michelle and fantastic music from the band the paddywacks who were excellent and a great comedy act too!!
We spent every other night in Magaluf which was just a 9euro taxi ride away it was a lot more lively and a top place to go for an excellent night out especially the young but please this is not a place for families with young kids!
I certainly won’t be taking mine here for the evening when I return although if you’re looking for a top night out with a huge party atmosphere this is the place to head for and be sure you can handle your drink as they are more than willing to throw as much of it down your neck!!!! We loved it!
All in all this was a fantastic holiday and I can’t wait to return next year!!!

Myself and my partner have just returned from a weeks self-catering at the Plazamar apartments. The room was large but slightly dated and in need of a lick of paint. The staff were very friendly and the room was kept reasonably clean, although the bedding had holes in them and the blankets were quite badly stained! We didn’t mind the fact that there was no TV, as there was plenty to see and do in the area.
I would say that these apartments warrant a 2 star rating not a three. Also although located in a quiet area, it was far from a quiet holiday, as lots of families with kids meant lots of noise.
Local restaurants are quite good value for money, especially Tony's on the corner but avoid the Watering Hole, as we were served up virtually raw meat!
Great holiday for families but not so great for couples looking for a romantic and chilling break or anyone with walking difficulties, as plenty of steps.

BEWARE. Stayed here for 10 nights in a studio apartment that was supposed to fit 4 people. We were told this by the sales rep when booking, as studios are normally for 2 adults plus one additional person usually a child, she informed us the studios are really big. We stayed in room 104. I can't begin to describe this room only its far too small for 2 adults and 2 children (12yrs+9yrs).
We asked the rep at the meeting in the morning about this, she agreed the rooms in these premises are too small but that's it. She said that was the way and there was nothing she could do. She was to ask in the office was there any other place to stay but she never came back to us. So we made the most of it by moving around the furniture and placed some of it out on the small balcony. The balcony only had a table and two chairs, this was clearly for 2 people. When the sofa bed was pulled out you could not even get out to the balcony as it was up against the doors.
This is a terrible place with regards to the rooms, very outdated. We spoke to a lot of different people and they had the same problems but their rooms might have been slightly bigger than ours, this included people that have been holidaying there for numerous years. This is not good enough when you are paying nearly €2500, to be squashed into this room. We wrote to Falcon and asked why this happened, they informed us that the Spanish tourist authority sets the capacity of the apartments. Falcon writes "The studios at the Plazamar apartments are registered to hold up to four people but just how comfortable that would be depends on the ages of the guests and the amount of luggage they have with them". 'I hope you are not too big or have your standard 20kg of luggage each with you'. So whatever you want to take from that statement.
We are not fussy people, we go away every year. Its too bad to expect a little space. As I told Falcon if you came on holiday to Ireland and given the room that we had you would not have stayed and demanded another. I'm sorry to have to put in these comments but feel its my duty and the other people that complained should put in their comments. Before we went we checked all the reviews and thought we where going to a great place, the reviews are a bit misleading, how disappointing. Ramone is a lovely person and very good with the children and adults. I must admit I wondered why there are not many photos, I took photos but something happened to my disc, no photos on it.
So that's that.

Great accommodation, really nice clean pool, the staff were really friendly and helpful! Also it was only a 5 min walk from the bars in Santa Ponsa! One thing was the tiny middy jacket potatoes!
Would definitely go back!! Although it was quite far away from Magaluf 10 euro taxi ride and its not really suitable for groups of young people as we had a complaint from the room across for coughing!
