Accommodation was clean, excellent position for both the beach and the town centre but still quiet enough to get some sleep!
Staff were always available and willing to help with anything required. Bar prices were less than the bars/restaurants in town with wide variety of drinks/ice creams etc.
Fab pool both private and enclosed with plenty of available sun loungers, cleaned daily by the staff.
Bodrum itself was lively without being too loud, was a nice friendly atmosphere with plenty of good value bars and restaurants serving great meals with huge portions!
1st time we had been to Bodrum after 15 years holidaying in other resorts in Turkey and were very pleasantly surprised, would definitely return to Bodrum and to the Kavala.

Loved the location, just far enough away from the centre of Bodrum town, but not too far to walk, about 10 minutes.
Demeters bar is great, we ended up spending most of our meal times in there, as the food was good value and of a high standard.
The local shop as you walk down the road to the centre is great for exchange rates and nibbles of an evening.
There is a bath on the same street, and have been told its great, but best have one early in the holiday, as you will get all your suntan scrubbed off.
The main argument with the studio was the lack of space, I like to hang and put all my clothes away, but the room was too small to do that. Other than that, the room was clean, thank god for air con, as the weeks we went was 40 +.
Pool was great, very secluded, apart from the chickens from the next door house crowing in the morning.
For a good priced holiday, I would recommend. We are going in 08...

We booked this holiday ourselves over the internet using on the beach web site and so far everything has worked out very well.
Although we did book a Thomas cook flight from Glasgow which was then changed to Manchester, which added additional cost to the holiday, but our transfers were at Bodrum airport.
We duly arrived at the Kavala studios and we were even given the choice to view some of the rooms before we selected the one we liked the most.
As with most rooms in turkey they are small but had all that we required and the air conditioning was not too expensive. The rooms are cleaned and sheets changed often.
The pool is great and the staff are excellent and there is no hassle!! Which is usually the way staff are in Turkey, wee George he says that’s his name,is always cheerful.
We would book this hotel again. Hope when you book yours you are treated the same as we were.
P.S we still have to get back to the airport, typed this sitting in the Demeter bar (nice cool beer any spelling mistakes blame the beer!!) at entrance to our hotel free internet access can’t ask for more. Bye for now.

Well, well, well, what can I say about the Kavala?
OUTSATNDING AGAIN GUYS – THANK YOU
My second visit and my partner’s third visit here and we were not disappointed again.
Do not believe all the bad and poor reviews given by "others" - go to the Kavala, JOIN IN with all the staff and other guests and you will not be disappointed.
The Kavala is exactly what it says on the tin, 2 star self catering - change this bit to studio apartments - limited cooking space and it is spot on.
Okay the fridge may not be the best, the hot plate is not everyone’s idea of being able too cook a meal on, but to be honest when we go away holiday and we do not want to cook like we do everyday at home – chillax folk and enjoy.
Try to holiday in the UK for the same money and see what you end up with?
The bins were emptied and beds made every day, the sheets and towels were changed every other day and the water was always hot.
If you are being honest how long do you spend in your room on holiday?
A shower and asleep – the rest of the time in the sun, around the pool or out and about enjoying all the sites / sounds of Bodrum / Turkey.
What does a little dirt hurt? I will tell thee – NOWT!
The hotel is perfectly situated only a five minute walk to the “beach”, the bus station and the night life.
The staff were outstanding - from the owner to the cleaner - they were all pleasant, polite, helpful and a pleasure to spend time with.
Hussian, Cubie and John were always to hand to make sure that whatever you wanted they did.
Nothing we asked to be done or about or requested were too much trouble – their eagerness to help for the pennies they earn puts our equal event staff and workers in this country to shame – maybe we should take a leaf from their book of customer satisfaction?
The “noise” complained about by others was music from the surrounding hotels not the Kavala.
However this was so easily resolved by a phone call from Cubie to the relevant offenders and this was toned down immediately.
We have always meet the loveliest people there as well – this year Step-pen / Charlotte, Leslie / Eileen, Callum / Graham, Teresa / Steve & Matty, Nassem / Shirl, Sue / Dave, Jan / Graham, Dave / Cherylee and not forgetting the Turkish family who holiday at the Kavala every year we do – all outstanding fun.
Bring on the belly dancers – eh lads!!!!!!!!
Go and try it with an open mind remembering what you paid and we are certain you will find great value for money.
Overall the apartments may have been basic, but they proved excellent value for money, said exactly what they were on the tin and if you go with an open mind and ready to join in you will not be disappointed in the slightest.
I know we will be booking again for the same time next year.
