My wife and 2 young daughters have stopped at this place twice now and have no trouble in recommending it to others.
The rooms are basic, but the pool area and Puerto Soller itself is so nice, you only really need the basics anyway. Personally I would not spend a lot more money on one of the prominent hotels for very little extra.
We opted for breakfast only, which is buffet style continental. The restaurant over the road, Sol y Sombre is excellent and great value and the there is a vast choice further near the front. The hotel will always gladly let you have an evening meal if you just fancy relaxing by the pool and not venturing out.
The staff are friendly and the rooms, bungalow style, are kept clean by a daily maid service.
The pool never gets over crowded, and we often found that if we stayed there in the day, we were the only ones using it. People generally come back from the beach late afternoon and use the pool.
Some reviews say that this place is too basic and criticise the food, but we found that it was excellent value in an area surrounded by overpriced hotels.
Stay here and whilst it isn't 5 star, it is perfect for the family holiday in an area that is stunning.
