Marriott Sabal Palms Resort Hotel

I stayed at the Sabal Palms last year and loved it. However, this year I had a much less enjoyable experience. My hotel room was infested with ants, lots and lots of ants. I'm talking hundreds of ants. Every morning we would wake to find hundreds of dead ants in the whirlpool tub in the master bath. They would also be crawling all over the counter and tub in the other bathroom. After the first attempt to get rid of them, we found a nice pile of dead ants in the kitchen. We have just returned from The Marriott Sabal Palms. After reading all the negative reviews, I decided to "throw caution to the wind" and experience it myself. I coaxed 7 additional families to join me. Let me just say I am here to "right the wrong". The property was wonderful. The Sabal Palms was a great place to stay. Clean, comfortable, close to all attractions, and the Marriott WorldCenter. Felt like home! Best of Both Worlds with the privacy of the villas and the proximity of the World Center for the pool (awesome). Felt safe and well taken care of. Would stay there again without a doubt!

Having just returned from Easter Break at Sabal Plams with six other families, I am happy to share our experience. My family stayed in a second floor unit which was clean and beautiful. The two bedroom unit was spacious, plenty of room for a family of five. The master bedroom and bath were large and clean. My kids loved the large, round jacuzzi tub. We paid more than 200 US each night and found a weary, worn out accomodation that looked like it was ready for renovation. The accomodations ARE NOT the typical Marriott standard. For those of us who really like to know we can expect certain standards when we book rooms or villas, this place was a disappointment. I love this website and have to admit that the reviews contained herein are not correct and do not properly reflect the poor quality of this location. The Sabal Palm Villas are in a secluded corner of the property and a brief walk to the main Marriott World Center Hotel and Resort. This means ease of passage to the restaurants and to the much better pools at the hotel. Parking is very convenient and FREE. But, beware, this is not a handicapped friendly location. This is an average location with a generally so-so interior showing wear and tear. Inspection of the ventilation showed dust and mold buildup. Vents in the appliances were dirty, and the kitchen needed a real scrub-up before we used it. The bathroom walls had funky stains, and the fixtures were a bit aged. February 2005 -- We just returned from a five-day stay at the Marriott Sabal Palms and loved it. The best part -- it is only about 10 minutes from Disney. We had two bedrooms, two baths, a living room and kitchen. The accomodations were spacious and well-maintained. Housekeeping service did a fantastic job. I would recommend this to families going to Disney. It offers alot more room for about the same price as a nice Disney property. Getting in and out of the parks was a breeze. We'll be back.

These are the nicest located villas on the property...away from the hustle and bustle of the area and quiet. The villas are usually clean and neat, with most features working. I've encountered leaking, filthy air conditioning vents that soak the rugs and create musty odors. Sometimes the hot tubs arent as clean as they need to be, and need a pre-soak scrubbing.
