Hotel Porto Soller

Stopped here for our 25th wedding anniversary. The hotel has a wonderful location away from the hustle and bustle yet is only 5 minutes walk from the centre and all it's bars and restaurants. The views from the rooms and the pool; are to die for and would have us going back time and again.The rooms are a decent size, there was always room by the pool and the service throughout the hotel was excellent. I can quite safely say that this is the best 3* hotel that I have ever stopped in. Puerto de Soller itself is very busy at lunch times as the round island trips stop here at this time but this means that the resort has far more bars and restaurants than you would expect and are reasonably quiet in the evening. You will hear quite a few british voices at lunchtime but in a week of eating out in the evenimgs we only came across two british families. Visit Soller for lunch on the rickety old tram or go into Palma in the just as ancient and quaint little train (pricey but worth it) The only drawback to this hotel are the steps up out of the village though you can take the longer drag up following the path by the road. It does mean that this isn't a hotel for the infirm.
