Lexington Hotel

What a very pleasant surprise. This is our third Disney vacation in three years and the last two "hotels" we stayed at were more like roach motels, so we didn't expect much. The rooms were immaculate; finally, an inexpensive hotel that doesn't smell funky. The bathroom was very nice; high sink, very roomy shower and great water pressure. You can pick faults with any hotel whatever the star rating or class but for good 'ol fashioned bang for your buck this hotel is just about as good as it gets. Nice clean room, friendly helpul staff, perfect location. When holidaying in Orlando why pay more? The breakfast was ok but for $7 you can go and have something cooked on the 192. The only problem I had was the noise of the staff laundry room banging shut, but that was a minor thing really. I'd recommend for the money any day.

We just returned from a trip to WDW and stayed at the Palms Hotel by Lexington at 3104 Parkway Blvd, Kissimmee. The location is just on the other side of I-4 and is located on a beautiful parkway (do a Windows Live Local map view and you will see what I mean). It was a great place with awesome beds and a really good Continental breakfast - loved the unusual looking but very yummy eggs. We found the Palms to be a great choice, a great deal and in a great location. It was easy to get to though no one mentioned that Parkway Blvd is full of poorly marked speed bumps, which was rather annoying and the Palms is at the end of the road. The room/bath looked just as they did online and was quite comfortable: I hate a hard mattress and I found this one to be very comfortable. We had went to Florida 2 years ago and stayed at the Hampton and loved it. When we went again I wanted to stay at the same place since I like it so much the last time. You check in at the villas which is across the pond, which is fine. They charge you a resort fee for the breakfast and newspaper, which is again fine. What really got me aggravated was nobody is ever in the lobby to help you and if you need assistance you have to go all the way across the pond to the villas. I booked this hotel through Orbitz after reading the wonderful reviews on trip advisor (I was a little owrried because the price was so low...but the reviews were great so I took a chance) It was great! I couldn't have asked for anything better! And the beds and pillows made me sleep like a baby! The rooms were well set up and very nice!! Great place...and the continental breakfast was better than most we only stayed for one night but I can't wait to go back to Florida and I will definately stay there!! Top Notch!!

I booked this hotel through Sam's Club travel service and I thought the price was great until I got to the property, THEN I THOUGHT IT WAS AWESOME! Yes, you have to register in one bldg and stay in another, but it's very clearly marked, and not really any different than if you were staying at a time-share resort, you have to register the same way, then go find your room... Well the place was bought over by the Palms so intiatlly it was difficult to find. You had to check in one building and then go over to what use to be the hampton inn hotel. Besides that, it was one of the best hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. I'm talking about a basic standard room with double beds. It was clean and smelled fresh. No lingeing smoke smell. I absolutely loved this hotel! It is the cleanest, odor-free place to stay! This hotel has been recently remodeled. Lovely clean carpet throughout hallways. Room has a beautiul decor with dark wood. Beds very comfortable. Great pictures on the walls. Nice staff. I didn't like to go to the other building to check in but that was just a minor inconvenience. I got an awesome price on Expedia for this room. Would recommend anyone to stay.

We enjoyed our stay here. The hotel has a different name now though...The Palms Hotel by Lexington. An unusual set up, you have to check in at another area then go to your room in another building. They have a hearty breakfast included in the price, and also shuttle buses to Disney. The bus was late every time we took it so keep that in mind, and they did change the bus timetable without much notice to guests, so make sure you have the up to date timetable. The room has two double beds but i think they are slightly smaller than double.... more
