after coming back from magaluf this week i can safely say i will be going back, hotel teix was a spot on place to stay with great fun staff and there was great banter through out. in an ideal location being 2 mins from the main strip a bar on site and having a fast food... more

Noisy, but Ideal for the Nightlife from catlee1970
Stayed at the Teix 21 Jun for long weekend for my Hen weekend with 6 girls. First impressions ok. above the Prince William pub, clean reception but basic. The rooms are quite roomy and clean (if you dont look under the beds!!). We was on the first floor and have problems with the drains. It stunk continously! Also we hired a fan as it was v hot espeically when getting ready. Plus points, hotel right in the action, 5 mins to beach, 5 mins to bars; bad points, Very noisy of a night with everyone returning home, no sleep, and they dont return your passports till you check out. Other than that a cheap break but i would stress that its only for hen and stag weekends and def not the family market.

We stayed here the end of may for one week, the sheets were changed once which was our last nite, we found the staff ok 2 ozy guys were very helpfull its not the cleanest place i have ever stayed in, but for 140 euros for 7 nights you cant realy complain, which is roughly 100 pound. The bathroom which i tried not to spend much time in was mingin and you could smell the urine some times from the bedroom, as the toilet just stunk. But overall this is a place is for stags/hens basicly cheap, not reccomended if you wanted some luxury.
Ideal for a Stag/Hen trip from Bradders81
I've just come back from the Teix after my stag do and I have to say that its got a great location. Its ideal as its only a 5 minute walk to the strip and a 2 minute walk to beach. Basically its far enough so you can get some sleep if you come in early enough and is only over the road from the Eastenders Bar and the Prince William. Does get a bit noisy when people start coming back after their nights out but thats expected in Magalluf. Staff were ok from what we saw of them. Beware though, there is a price list on the reception wall of items that if damaged will have to be paid for. They check every room before you check out and if you've broken one bed slat its 15 euro's and they'll hold your passports until you pay up.
Perfect for stag/hen from Joffers
We stayed in the Teix for a long weekend whilst on a stag in Magaluf. The hotel was just setting up for the summer season (early May) and as such, some of the facilities such as the onsite bar were not open but in Magaluf you're only ever 20 metres from a bar anyway so not a problem. Rooms were basic but clean. Aircon would have been a welcome addition as even in May it was getting warm. Pool was clean and staff were friendly. When we stayed, the hotel was virtually all male guests, so it could get a little noisy in the early hours as people returned from a night out. Whilst the guests were well behaved during out stay, I wouldn't recommend the hotel to families or people looking for a quiet break - the hotel is in the heart of Palma Nova and is above the Prince William pub so it will be noisy. If you're a group of lads or girls, the Teix is perfect. Cheap, clean and close to the nightlife.
Friendly small hotel from CockneyMackem
Turned up on the off chance, and managed to get a room when no other hotels had vacancies. I had not heard the best of reports, but was pleasantly surprised. The staff were friendly, the rooms clean if basic, and the bar snacks helped with the mornings hangovers! If you are looking for a low cost room only holiday, I can thoroughly recommend the Teix, which is also close to the club strip and a number of smaller, quieter bars.
Excellent Location from Mcceers1916
The Hotel Teix is located on the edge of Palma Nova, more or less Magalluf. It is basic but clean and the pool bar is excellent with its drink promotions 24hrs. The staff are friendly especially the owner who you will see alot of as he owns the neighbouring Prince William Pub which is open until 4am. The Hotel is a 5min walk to the Centre of Magalluf as well as Palma Nova beach as this is alot more superior than the beach in Magalluf. The Hotel is an 8 euro taxi ride away to Santa Ponsa and is also a 2min walk to the local bus stop were you can catch a bus to Palma City. The Hotel has got alot of surrounding restaurants and bars which makes it an excellent location for a budget stay in Majorca. My girlfirend and I will definetley be retuning in the near future.

The hotel is situated right on the corner of the strip and is also really close to the beach. The hotel is clean and the staff really tolerant and friendly. The pool area is also really clean and in all the hotel exudes a relaxed and fun atmosphere. i will definatly be returning.

the two managers, dean and sarah, were rude and unhelpful. the rooms were dirty and they charge 20 euros for a fan! the continental breakfast consisted of a peice of toast and some concentrate juice. the rooms werent cleaned properly, just dirt moved round. when we left our room sheets werent even changed for the next couple using the rooms, the same stain was on the sheet. not to mention it costs as much as a 3 star hotel (its a one star) i highly reccomend not staying here.

Me and 7 girls stayed her in July 1999 on club 18-30's. The rooms were basic and clean the pool was quite small with a pool bar serving snacks. This hotel is right in the middle of magaluf PERFECT for clubbing holidays with your mates!
