Comments:  Just returned from a two week stay at these apartments never been to puerto pollensa before we found the hotel/apartments to be lovely and the resort stunning our apartment was clean and large we found all the staff lovely and helpful food was not that bad but did get boring after so long now the bad points to me the resort is for older couples or familys with very young children yes these apartments are right near to the beach and spar shop but a good 20 mins walk into town so it was 5 to six euros each way so if you like going into the centre it does add up also we found the apartments entertaiment to be very boring for children most nights there was nothing on and when there was something on it only lasted about 20-30 mins and if you stay two weeks on the second week it is the same acts on as the first week also the main pool is very deep no good for children it is well over six foot if we did go back to puerto pollensa again it would be somewhere nearer to the centre and with the state of the value of the euros we would need to win the lottery first~~~~As the prices are the same as england if not more

Comments:  Just got back from an excellent weeks stay at the Bahia Pollensa Apartments. My husband and I are hardened travellers but this is the first time abroad with our 4 year old daughter. The apartments were lovely and clean with a maid service nearly every day although they are very basic with only 2 cooking rings. a microwave and fridge. There are no toasting facilities either. The pool area was lovely although you would need to be down before 10 am to get a sunbed as they did seem to be limited. There is a snack bar at the poolside but it is expensive. I can't comment on the hotel food as we ate out every night although the hotel did offer various bbq and tapas nights.
The apartments are very close to the beach which has plenty of sunbeds. These cost 11 euros for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella. There are watersports and pedalo hire a bit further up the beach.

I would advise any parents with small children (or reluctant walkers)! to take a pushchair as the walk from the apartments to the main resort is around 20mins (30 mins plus at toddler pace). The walk is lovely along the beach front and there are lots of shops and restaurants along the way. The main resort is great. We walked here every night to eat and the main square is lovely, there is a market here on a Wednesday. Restaurants to reccommend are Dakotas (children get a balloon and gift), Oharas Irish bar and Pescalinos.

Please be aware that the prices are very much the same as England so take plenty of money if you are planning to eat out every night.
We didnt do any trips but we heard that the Pirates night is fantastic and also Son Amar is supposed to be excellent.
Overall a fantastic holiday and would go back definitely!!

Comments:  Just returned back from Puerto Pollensa and I found the Bahia Pollensa Apartments to be kept very clean. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful and our apartment was cleaned most days we were there. We had a 1 bed apartment on the third floor and found it to be spacious and a good size, plenty of wardrobe space for clothes. We were full board plus and found the food to be good. The only thing I would say is the lunchtime choice got a bit boring and the food didnt really cater for children or vegetarians.

There wasnt really alot going on for children at the complex but maybe that was because it wasn't the height of the season. There was a pool table and table tennis plus various games machines of which you have to pay for. I think the apartments are well suited for people who like to just go and relax around the pool. It was in a nice quiet location and just set back from a great beach of which was my favourite beach in the whole resort, but a good 30 minute walk into the centre of puerto pollensa which could get a bit tiring especially if you have kids but the taxis are cheap about 5/6 e each way and a good bus service, although the one into Alcudia gets packed but only costs about 1.45e each way.

I think it was a nice relaxing place to visit and I personally preffered it to Alcudia as that seemed to be spread out all over the place, but not alot on for children apart from loads of restaurants, a park not far from the apartments and a small amusement arcade in the main strip but the beach is great although when we were there couldnt see any water sports there.

A trip into the old town Pollensa is well worth a visit just to walk up the 365 steps which gives amazing views which are very pretty and my 10 year old really enjoyed walking up them.

On a whole complex kept immacutaley clean and a good base to explore Puerto Pollensa and the surrounding areas which are very pretty.

Comments:  Have just returned from Mallorca, and had one of the best holidays ever. The aparthotels are very clean and tidy, the staff are all friendly and very helpful. If you enjoy a good hearty walk you must see kathrine the entertainment manager to go on the walk to cala boquer well worth it just for the views breathtaking. Food in the hotel is fine.
The walk into the main town was lovely with the mountains in front of you and the sea to the side beautiful, a flat pleasant 15 min walk. The resort also has a lovely harbour, where you can go on the glass bottom boats. Once you get to the main square you can eat and drink your way around the world (personal favourites Nicos and Kashmir). A good range of shops to suit all tastes and you mus'nt miss the market on a wednesday in the main square. All round a brilliant hoilday would return tommorrow.

Comments:  Literally just got back from Majorca, and we are glad to be home.
All started well with lovely weather and the novelty of being somewhere different. The aparthotel is clean, the rooms have basic provisions (kettle, microwave, 2 hobs, fridge, cuttlery etc) and the staff are polite and friendly. The pool is clean and surroundings in good order. That I'm afraid is where the postive comments end.
Having 3 young children is hard work at the best of times, but even harder in unfamiliar surroundings. The apartments are a good 20-30min walk away from the main resort, which at first is fun but after 3 or 4 long walks become tedious. It just so happens that all the shops and restaurants are at the end of the long walk.
Yes there are taxi's and they are cheap, but the cost soon adds up.
Some may ask why you would want to leave the complex.
Well its just boring.......Bingo, Superbingo, & bad singers. Although the entertainment manager was very sweet, she clearly had no idea how to organise anything remotely interesting.
Also the food in the restaurant was very expensive and according to others not very good. Hence the need to vacate the aparthotel for as long as possible.
You have to pay for the TV.......4 euro per day!
With torrential rain for the last 3 days you can imagine that this had turned into a our worst holiday ever. Trapped in the complex with nothing to do, with 3 very frustrated kids.
Also the weak £ has made shopping and eating just as, if not more expensive than the UK. 4e for bread, 1e for a Kitkat, 4e for milk......not too good when feeding 5 people. That also means excursions are expensive as we paid 300e for us to see Pirates.......£250 for a night out.....eeekkkk.
Most people we spoke to were unhappy. One family told us they were gutted that they had wasted so much money. Even the older people (60+) were not impressed with the food or location.

So as a conclusion the Bahia Pollensa is clean with polite friendly staff. Poor location, poor food, and terrible entertainment. Ok for sunbathers or explorers.
Not for families with young children or the elderly who are restricted with mobility.

Comments:  Just come back from Puerto Pollensa, what a fantastic place. The Bahia Pollensa was a great place to stay. The staff were very friendly, the room were clean and of a good standard.

It takes about 20 mins to walk to the main centre but you are walking along the beach front so not much of a hardship, but only 2 mins to the beach, nice and quiet at night so great if you have kids.

The swimming pool was great for kids and there was plenty of sun beds, so no need to get up early and put your towels out. The food around the pool was very good and cooked fresh in front of you.

If you go out for a meal you must go to Tango ate their twice, and could of gone there every night, Nico's was very good as well. The beach was very good and never gets to crowded.

It was the first time we had taken our daughter away and she had a fantastic time. Once you have been here you will want to go back again as soon as possible.

Comments:  Hotel reception staff very friendly and helpful.

One-bedroom apartment was clean and quite spacious.

Hotel pool is medium size, but the great thing is that all towels from the "reserved" sunbeds are removed about 10.30am if the people who reserved them are not there....what a great idea, no getting up at the crack of dawn to get a sunbed.

Beach is absolutely fantastic and about a 2-3 minute walk away....can hire two sunbeds and a static umbrella for 10 Euros a day.....pedelo’s for 11 Euros an hour. Snorkelling is highly recommended as the sea is very clear....my children aged 10 and 7 had a brilliant time, especially splashing about in the sea in the early evening.

Can walk to the town along the promenade in about 15 minutes, lots of cafes and restaurants and a market on Wednesday mornings.

Food good on full board plus (2 drinks included at lunch and dinner)....some people complained that it was chips with everything but we had new potatoes, baked potatoes and rice alongside a range of chicken, lamb and fish. Plus there were two delicious bbq during the week.

Service in the restaurant was a bit slow but that was because they were short-staffed by 3 waiters, which hopefully the management will address.

Would recommend this hotel and location for at least a week’s holiday....it rained for 3 days of our holiday, but we still had a great time.

Comments:  A lovely family resort beautiful beaches kept immaculately clean. This was my first holiday in Spain for a long time, and also my first holiday with my daughter son in law and my 14mounth old grandson.

For the last few years I have always gone to Greece but the holiday last year was awful the Greek are not putting any of their tourist money back into the infrastructure.

The hotel was very nice the rooms were spacious and air conditioning was included. They were cleaned 5 times a week but not up to my wife’s standards.

The pool area was quite small but it had 3 different pools with different depths. The one down side to the pool was everybody as developed a German tendency there was never any spare sun loungers they always had towels on although they remained empty for several hours.

The staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpful although the bar staff were a bit slow.

One bad point was they only had a couple of high chairs. The beach is only a few minutes’ walk away and as I said before was lovely, on one occasion a young girl got stung by a jellyfish but I saw no more the rest of the holiday. 2 sun loungers and a parasol cost 10 Euros for the day .

Meals out were alright nothing great but nothing dreadful, but nothing was cheap the dreaded bread charge even for the baby + 7% tax added to the bill. But there was no pestering or many lucky lucky boys around.

Very family friendly no lager louts and did not see any trouble at all. Pollensa itself is pleasant but not a lot there apart from the 365 steps but we had a lovely lunch in EU centre cafe.

Almeria’s old town is also very quaint and the marina as plenty of expensive boats to look at the rest of Alcudia though is like Blackpool. I would thoroughly recommend Puerto Pollensa and also the hotel

Comments:  This hotel was top notch, the best I have stayed in. Clean and quiet and the air con was so good to have. All staff were friendly and helpful.

Entertainment was great something on every night. The resort is for families, older people, or couples looking for some peace and quiet just to get away from the stresses of life.

Excellent restaurants and lots to choose from. The beach was the best of all, one word, stunning! I'd definitely go back.

Comments:  Porto de Pollensa is a beautiful seaside village. We found the Bahia de Pollensa Apartments very clean and comfortable and staff to be approachable and friendly. The apartments were very much family oriented, with a kids club with activities every day.

We rented bicycles most days as the apartments were a bit of a walk to the town (20 minutes). It was a pleasant way to get around and we cycled the 5km to Alcudia easily. There is a market on a Wednesday in the Square in Porto de Pollensa which was very enjoyable. We also got the ferry across to a beach called Formentera which was stunning.

We liked it so much that we decided we would go back another day, intending to get the bus but we missed it and got a taxi instead. (The bus only goes there twice a day.) The taxi was worth it however as the road to Formentera is breathtaking-a steep rocky mountain.

Weather was fabulous in July-Temp Average 35 degrees Celsius.

As a "twenty something", the nightlife was virtually nonexistent and this is why I rated the resort 8 out of 10. We just ate out every night. Found the holiday very relaxing though and I would go back to Porto de Pollensa, especially if I had children.

Comments:  We had a great self catering holiday for two weeks,my husband is Disabled but the hotel was well equiped and Disabled freindly, close to the beach lots of buses to the town when they stop but the taxi service is cheap and freindly. The hotel had good food and a well stocked shop and its staff were the best but sadly no one took any notice about the towels on the loungers around the pool, All in all a quite and a great hotel we have booked to go back in June 2008
