Accomodation is excellent - one bed apartment with full kitchen, two bathrooms. Well placed for the parks and the opportunity to get early or late passes for Disney (selected parks and times only) Walking distance to Downtown Disney. We had a great view of the lake. All... more

Great for families with older Teenagers!
from A TripAdvisor Member
We stayed at Saratoga Springs, Oct 13 - 16, 2005. Room 2527. Even though we took advantage of Disney's Magical Express, Saratoga Springs did allow us to check in early when we arrived at 11:30 am. My husband and I had 3 teenagers (19 boy, 19 girl, 15 boy) with us. Our two bedroom suite was very spacious and accommodating. No..the hotel was not "magical", it had more of a resort feel to it...in a Disney sort of way! And that is exactly what we were looking for. If you're looking for super magical, this is not the hotel for you. However it was perfect for our family. We were off Congress Parkway, right across the lake from Downtown Disney. It was very quiet and peaceful. We could see the Midnight fireworks from any window in the room. It took us about 5 - 10 minutes to walk around the lake to Downtown Disney and we never waited longer than 15 minutes for a bus at the resort. We did not eat at Artist Palette but it did not have a shortage of patrons. It was just closer and quicker for us to walk to Downtown Disney. We did get Pizza Delivery one night and that was great and a money saver. We dined at Boma in Animal Kingdom and Whispering Canyon Cafe in Wilderness Lodge. Those hotels definitely had more of a "magical" feel to them and they were stunning hotels! Even the teenagers "ooohhhed" at Animal Kingdom Lodge!!! All and all, if you need to accommodate a family with teenage kids and also want room to yourself, I don't think you'd be disappointed with Saratoga Springs.
Good Hotel, Inconvenient

Hotel is brand new. Had a 2 bedroom villa. Very nice. Hotel is away from everything. Takes forever for buses to come and go. Will stay at a closer resort next stay.
So great we bought a little piece of it!

We loved this resort so much that we decided to buy into the DVC which is something we have never considered. The lobby is open and the front desk staff was funny and friendly. Our room was at Congress Park and it was nice to stroll along the waterfront to the more public areas like the pools and playground. Additional great features of this resort include the bbq pavillion where we grilled out several nights, enjoyed the scenary and socialization of other quests while at the play park, not to mention the money we saved by not eating out every night at some of the overpriced (and not so great) restaurants nearby! The proximity to the Disney Parks is not within walking distance; however, it was nice to get a little ways away from all the hoopla and "Come Home". Being just across the lake from Downtown Disney was another HUGE bonus for us. On our non-park days, it was really nice to walk over and feel energized with the Disney feeling again. We love this resort and will be returning in October of this year. WAY TO GO DISNEY!
We had fun
from A TripAdvisor Member
Well we had fun at Saratoga Springs, but there were some downs. We are frequent Disney goers and this was a family trip with 6 adults. We had a 2 bedroom suite and the room was great. It was exactly what we wanted. There is no room service. It definately beat getting mulitple rooms at the value resorts b/c it was quieter and not as many children The pool was very hot which wasnt nice for august and some complexs are far from the "fun" pool so ask to be close to it if thats what you want. The staff was not top notch and it was surprising for disney resort. The bus service also seemed to be far and few between. But this is Disney so it is overall very clean and cute, but the previous writer is correct. You dont feel "magical" It feels like you are at a secluded resort. I would definatly reccommed this over KeY west, its looks like a retirement community. If $$ isnt an object stay at the Boardwalk, Beach Club or Yacht Club BY far the best resorts. But overall it was a pleasent DIsney experience and I would stay again b/c it was a good value. Be careful though b/c everywhere you go they are trying to convince you to join the vacation club. They almost got us. PS: Get the meal plan!!! We saved over 50%, definately the best deal disney has to offer
Disney Miss

This did not seem like a Disney resort. The lobby did not feel very welcoming and magical like all the other resorts we've stayed at. The staff was not very pleasant and were certainly not up to Disney standards. They are still building here but we were not impressed by what we saw. There were crows all over the balconies and were very annoying. There was not much for the children to do. We were so disappointed that when we got to our room we made reservations at another Disney resort and left. Very disappointed in this resort.
Relaxing and beautiful
from DisneyTrips4us
Just returned from this beautiful resort. The grounds are very lovely, and it is spread out, as many others have noted. The pools were awesome and not crowded at all, which was highly welcomed after fighting the crowds at the parks all day. The slide is great for both adults and kids. I would say this is probably one of the best pools on Disney property. We stayed in a studio, which was a bit small for our family of 5, but it was clean and would be great for a smaller family. We had a great view of Downtown Disney, and it was a short walk over to the Marketplace. It was a little bit of a hike to the main pool though. My biggest complaint about the resort would be the bus service. It was very slow, and we waited an hour for a bus at Pleasure Island one night. The average wait for a bus was about 20-30 minutes. Otherwise we loved the resort and would stay again. Next time I would opt for larger accommodations though.
A Disney Miss

we stayed for 5 days during the July 4th holiday. Although the grounds and hotels exterior are lovely, the hotel itself and the staff need improvement. Our room key would not work and we were stuck inside the room for both the front door and balcony door were jammed. We were finally moved to another room where the drawers to some of the dressers were stuck. The grounds are large and if you are not next to the main areas check in/out and the pool area it is a long walk. Also the restrauant is limited in what it serves, there is not enough variety. As a Disney Vacation Member I would not stay here again but opt for either Old Key West or the Beach Club both better by a wide margin.
A Very Nice Place to Stay on Disney Property
from Wahoo__bMedina
We just returned from a 7 night stay at the new Saratoga Springs Resort near Downtown Disney. The resort is new (construction is ongoing) - therefore our room and all of the facilities (i.e. lobby, restaurant / shop, pool, etc.) we visited were in exceptional shape and condition. The resort is and will be very spread out. Depending on the actual building your room is in, you could have anywhere from a 5 to 15 minute walk to the main part of the resort which houses the themed pool, restaurant, shop, spa, and lobby; and a 5 to 15 minute walk to Downtown Disney. The restaurant has a somewhat limited menu, but the food we did get there was outstanding and very reasonably priced. The themed pool is large and a favorate with our kids. Overall (with one exception), the bus service between the resorts and theme parks was very prompt. Staff / employees of the resort were all very helpful and friendly. We will be staying here again in 3 years when we go back!
Goofy CAN be romantic!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 days in late May-- everything about this property is wonderful! Our room was spacious, the amenities wonderful and we had a patio that looked across the water to Disneyworld. The spa is heavenly, and we each had massages that were great. The pools are more geared to the children, but we enjoyed the afternoon there, and looked forward to getting into the separate hot tub, in its' own little area, but ran out of time, we had so many great things to do! There is a store on the property that has groceries and deli items, and good morning coffee and pastries. All of the employees were kind and helpful. The bus drivers were great, and we were informed that if you stay on a Disney property, you are Guranteed a ride back to your hotel--the driver had waited for an extra 20 minutes to collect us, and we had a nice conversation with him, near midnight, as he drove us back to the resort. Do be aware that you will not get your room until about 4pm on your day of arrival. We were there at 10am, and did not gain entry til later, and we had to call back and get our room number, they do not call you. However, they did offer to store our bags and let us change in the spacious comfort of the spa. We plan to return soon and look forward to it!
Could not have been any more perfect!

I'll just say that I totally agree with the reviews of this property. WOW! Our 2 bedroom suite was amazing. The best shower I've ever used at a hotel. It's easy to see why they call this a "home away from home" because I have beautiful one year old home and this rivals home! I have traveled extensively and other than staying at the Hotel Bora Bora in Bora Bora, this is THE best hotel room (if I can even call it that) that I've ever stayed in. With accomodations so lovely, we extended our trip by a couple of days. We didn't want to leave! I've stayed before at the Wilderness Lodge (I still love this one) at the Boardwalk and at Old Key West. It's THE best property of any of these. Just one thing to be aware of: the price. We went at the worst time of the year possible, Spring Break. So per night, our suite was over $500. Yikes! But then we saw how beautiful and tranquil it was and it didn't seem quite so overpriced (still overpriced but not as much). Had our own patio with sliders and some ducks came right up to our door! Restaurant at the hotel had good food (tuna salad was amazing) and the pool was the best ever! Had a ledge all the way around that you could sit on and be emersed in the water-heaven! Would recommend this to everyone and won't think of staying anywhere else again when returning. Thank you Disney for creating a peaceful respite for the theme park weary! Feel free to email me if you have any questions for me.

We stayed in Congress Park - 5 of us in a 2 bedroom villa. There was plenty of space, the villa was very clean and we found the bus service excellent. A very short and pleasant walk to Downtown Disney (5 minutes). Congress Park has its own quiet pool which we preferred as... more
