Riande Continental Plaza Hotel

We were originally going to stay at the comfort inn universal area which is on universal boulvard. That was until i saw and heard the reviews from other people. I didnt want to stay in filth so i looked at many hotels in my price range and noticed that the orlando continental plaza had recently come under new management and had changed its name from Riande. The location of this hotel is great - within walking distance of Wet n Wild and lots of restaurants on I Drive. There is also the I Drive trolley bus stop nearby which is a dollar per journey. The check-in was easy and you have to leave $15 deposit for key, which is refunded on check out. Our room was clean but a little tired looking! However, the bed was comfortable with clean bed linen. The location is excellent, across from Wet n' Wild, 5 minutes from Universal Studios and a lot of restaurants near it. The service is average. It is an hotel only for sleep. I expected more cleanliness. The hotel needs a little remodelation. My room bathroom was old and dirty. You have better hotel options near it.

I was very dubious after reading some previous reviews on this Hotel, but with the price we paid for a 2 week holiday for we just hoped that the Hotel was comfortable and clean and we was not disappointed, yes it may not have been the Ritz but it was very clean and the beds were extremley comfortable just what you need after trudging round the theme parks all day, we only had the free breakfast a couple of times as you could get a full buffet breakfast for under $5 at any of the eateries alomg International Drive. My husband and I stayed at this hotel this past weekend (2/17-18/07) for just one nite. It was booked by a friend and we had a group of 3 rooms (which were suppose to be together but were not) The room was just that. Not dirty but run down, battered a bit. The bathroom was a bit slimy. I was actually didn't take a shower in there because I was a bit uncomfortable with the status of the room. My wife and I visited this hotel for 6 nights from Dec 29th 2006 to Jan 4th 2007. It was suggested to us by a friend Travel Agent who mentioned that Nolitours offered this hotel for 318$cdn for 7 days. Since we decided to travel at the very last minute, I could not wait for Nolitours's response and contacted the hotel directly to book. Unfortunately, this being the peak of high season, the best they could offer us was a 89.95$US rate for the first three nights, and 49.95$US for the remaining three. To anyone booking to stay at this hotel or booking through Noli Tours out of Canada Please BEWARE. My fiance and I booked a trip to Orlando for the New Year through our travel agent using Noli Tours. The rating for this hotel is a 3 star. This is not the case the hotel/motel should be rated a 11/2 star to a 2 star at most. I have the pictures to prove it. Well, We had a troubles about the smoke smell in the bedrooms for not smokers, in the first bedroom, it is impossible, and we ask for change, and the smell in the second room was better, but not good at all... The breakfast is included, and is not bad, have a fresh waffles, coffee, toastes, jelly, butter, cereal, milk and sirup. The wi-fi internet is free on the lobby. The better in this hotel is the localization, it is perfect!! A few steps to International Drive, walgreens, KFC and Skyride.

My 8 yr old daughter and I stayed here for 2 nights in June while visiting Universal Orlando. The room was very clean and the staff very friendly. Everyone behind the desk speaks and understand english very well. I felt very safe staying there. It is within walking distance of many restaurants and shops. the Chinese Restaurant next door is very good. The continetal breakfast was OK. Filling and fresh but very limited selections.

I stayed here with my girlfriend b.c we went to halloween horror nights at universal studios and there was absoultely no problems. The check in was def. slow and the credit card machine didnt work so they wanted cash, I simply told them there not getting that I wanted a credit card and we made agreements to satisfy what I wanted. So there not rude just probabtly a lil understaffed so they are slow and when they do have issues there probabtly frustrated by then. Anyways, PEOPLE this is a forty to fifty dollar a night hotel!!
