Hawthorn Suites Airport Hotel

We stayed here during the "attempted" launch of the space shuttle in July of 2005. I have only great things to say about this hotel. From check in to check out, EVERYONE was very courteous and pleasant. The one-bedroom suite was large and very comfortable with a full kitchen including a DISHWASHER (how many hotels have you stayed at with that?!), stove, microwave, and FULL-size refrigerator (important for those of you traveling with kids!!). My company is in 4 different cities every week having training classes and this is by far the worst one yet. Typically we use Marriott’s without problems but I handle all the booking so I decided to try something different. What a mistake! Overcharged, had our LCD projector stolen and unprofessional behavior. We have not been able to resolve the theft problem due to the unresponsive management. Be very careful if you stay here.

We stayed at this Hawthorne Suites the night before we were to set sail on a cruise. When we arrived at the hotel, there were absolutely no parks, we had to park along a curb in front of the hotel. We were on the 3rd floor of the hotel, but only one of the two elevators were working (of course, the one farthest away from our room). Stayed here March 15, 2005. Suite was spacious and clean with all necessary amenities. Paid $129.00, which was a little more than another hotel we stayed at but there really is no comparing the two. We were pleasantly surprised when informed of the "Happy Hour" and went and checked it out. Free drinks (mixed drinks too!) and snacks! Amazing. Never attended a hotel with a FREE happy hour. Stayed here for 1 night in March 2005 after our Airline abruptly went bankrupt. The rooms are very clean and the beds were probably the nicest I have ever slept in. The 2 TVs in the rooms were great as well. The full hot breakfast was amazing. The staff was very friendly and more than willing to accomodate. The only downfall was the Hotel shuttle as my wife and 2 young children were kept waiting an hour and a half to be picked up from the Orlando Airport. I would recommend and stay here again WITHOUT hesitation.

We stayed at the Hawthorne at Christmas 2004. We had a wonderful time. The friendly staff and the hot breakfasts every morning were a welcome change from other hotels. We had a one bedroom suite but our family of five was comfortable. There are two queen beds in the bedroom and a pull-out couch. The kitchen has a full size refrigerator, 2-burner stove, microwave and dishwasher. It was a money-saver to be able to have dinner in the room after a day at the parks. We came to this location after making a big mistake of booking at an econo lodge. We called Hawthorn at 11 at night, they had a room and gave it to us at a very great price. We stayed two nights. Enjoyed a full breakfast, one of the best free breakfasts i have ever had, complete buffet. and each afternoon they had free drinks and snacks. the pool was nice, and our room was a one bedroom suite that was spotless. this would be an excellent choice for any traveler.

An A-1 Hotel. Our suite (1-bd) was very roomy and very clean & quiet. They provided multiple amenities. I got the floor and view I wanted, no problem. The staff are the utmost professionals and very friendly. Will stay here again.

After 7+ hours of flying I was tired and needed a place to get freshened up before my meeting. I was 5 hours early for my meeting and 6 hours too early to check in. I decided to find the hotel and see if I was in the right place. I was. Shyly I asked if there was any way I could check in early and they said sure, and sent me off to have free breakfast while they processed my paperwork. I booked the 2 bedroom suite for my elderly father and myself. One bedroom/bathroom is nicely equipped for the disabled. There is a full kitchen with dishes, dishwasher, you name it! It was so quiet, didn't hear any planes. The complimentary "happy hour" is a full service bar with a full hot buffet dinner! The breakfast buffet was huge. I took the courtesy shuttle to/from the airport with minimal waiting time.
