Deluxe Orlando Convention Center Hotel

We booked a 2 bedroom family suite at Orlando Sierra Suites 12 months prior to travelling. Checked 3 times before arriving and were reassured that our booking was secure. Arrived at 10pm with 2 children and told that our suite had gone. Given one room for duration of stay, youngest son slept with us, eldest in pull out sofa. Attitude of desk staff appalling, told we could take the room or leave (it was dark and raining). One flat pillow each, we asked for more but were told thay didnt have more, so not much sleep. Went with my gf for 4 nights in late Aug. 2004. We got king size suite, the room was really spacious, really nice to have a kitchen and a big sofa. Jacuzzi outside was also a big plus. Continental breakfast was ok, rather limited though but nothing to complain about. Would totally go back there next time, especially on the good rates we got! The only thing that annoyed me was a rather rude staffperson when we got there, but for other days the staff was really nice.

Me and my wife recently stayed here May 4 thru May 9. I booked the hotel through Expedia. I was very happy with this place. I selected the Suites because I wanted a little more than a hotel room. The room was very clean and neat. There was a nice kitchenette and a small livingroom setup, like a studio. The pool was right outside our window but with the windows closed you could not even hear anyone out there. We were there from May 4 through May 9 and could not have asked for a better hotel. It was very quiet and clean. The front staff was very helpful. We got there early and they were more than happy to check us in as soon as a room became available. For $70 a night, you could not ask for a better stay. The only drawback would have been the continental breakfast, wish they would have changed it up some so that we had different options, after 5 days, bagels and muffins got old. We stayed at Sierra suites from April 27th to May6th, It was great and I have no complaints, you cannot go somewhere and expect it to be just like home and I would really have to think hard to find something wrong with this place. It was located in a great spot you could walk to eat or shop and they had a trolly that went up and down international drive all day long which you could buy passes for and travel as much as you like. We stayed 8 nights at the Sierra Suites in April.. Having travelled frequently to Orlando with our children, we were very pleased with our stay. The pool area was very clean, the breakfast was very suited to our needs and we found it very convenient to be able to take some back for our children. The location on International Drive is great. The room was a nice size and we did not mind sleeping on the sofa bed (by the time the day was over we could have slept on a kitchen chair). This hotel is rated as a three star. Very much untrue. Although the staff were very courteous, the place itself was old, carpets looked like they were from 1970. It just was not what we expected. It was a wake-up call to really check out the hotel that you are booking. Don't just look at the pictures. The continental breakfast was ok very limited. We just stayed at the Sierra Suites April 2- April 5 2004. We had a great time. I must admit I was sort of nervous about the accommodations because of some of the reviews that were posted. We were given a room on the third floor that had a pool view. The room was very nice and very clean!!! The customer service was wonderful and the management appeared to be "on top of things". We stayed 7 nights in March at this hotel. Honestly, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. The rooms are only cleaned minimally. The garbage removed and towels replaced. There is a note on the wall stating that the rooms are cleaned better and linens changed every 3 days. The staff are supposed to place plates, etc., into the dishwasher and turn it on each day. We spent 4 nights at Sierra Suites and found the place well above average. We didn't spend a whole lot of time there since we were busy running around at Disney World, but the room was big enough and the kitchen was great. The only thing I didn't like was the bed; for me it wasn't overly comfortable. The walls did a great job at keeping the noise out; we didn't hear a thing during our stay. The price was right, and overall, we were happy with our stay.
