Holiday Inn Suites Convention Centre Hotel

As others review note, this hotel is very accessible from the convention centre and I-4. Int'l Drive is just a block away (or cross the neighboring mall's parking lot). as someone mentioned previously, it is a little difficult to spot the hotel if you are North-bound on Universal Blvd, as it is on the South-bound side (the signage gets obscured by the central reservation and surrounding shrubs). was here for 5 nights.loved it! wish it could have been longer!!!! the suite was very clean and fairly new,the whole place had a nice feel to it.could only access back entrance with key card so felt secure. although the pool was adjacent to the crab house restaurant it was very quiet and peaceful, also had the sun all day. close to i-drive,trolley stop and goodings supermarket.only downside was that the breakfast wasn't brilliant but loads of breakfast choice up and down i-drive......staff nice.

We stayed at this hotel in August 05 and found it to be a good basic hotel - Location on Universal Blvd is away from the 'tacky' part of International Drive and has good access to shops and restaurants. The pool is small but adequate for a short stay. Rooms are well furnished and comfortable whith a good sized fridge and microwave. My wife and i stayed here due to its proximity to int. drive and the hotel pics on its website. Overall, we were not dissapointed. The hotel has a nice entrance and lobby, clean and a lift leads to upper accomodation. The rooms very spacious and quite. The bed was comfortable and all very clean. Its very close to Int drive and its pleasures. Its also secluded from traffic which is excellent. Stayed in Room 512 for a 2 week package deal, the hotel is well located at the back of Sleuth's dinner show at the Mercado just a few minutes walk to I Drive, even less to Gooding's supermarket. The room was nice & quiet & totally spotless, it has a large TV, modern quiet A/C unit, fridge, microwave, coffee maker & iron, there is also a safe which costs $2.50 per day. Very nice, clean hotel that's convenient to the Convention Center and I-Drive Restaurants. Rooms were clean with free internet service. All-You-Can-Eat breakfast not included in room rate, but reasonable at $6.50. Basic selections of pastries, cereal, eggs, pancakes and make your own waffles. Will stay there again.

I wasn't sure what to expect and I actually had this hotel confused with another Holiday Inn I stayed at many years ago (not the Select at the Airport which is excellent). We were pleasantly surprised that the rooms were large, quiet and comfortable and appeared fairly new. Microwave and fridge were an assest. Stayed here May 2004, This hotel is located on Universal Blvd. approximately to the rear of the Mercado Parking Lot, adjacent to the side of the Wyndham. This an excellent location as it is within walking distance of all the best I-Drive restaurants. Goodings supermarket is also the rear of the hotel. This location also means you miss all the heavy traffic on I - Drive. The hotel is relatively new (two years I think) and rooms are large and clean. Me and my wife stayed here august 2002 all i can say is give it time.The hotel is located at the back of internation drive, very convenient for most things.On the down side the pool is v-very small and is on the side of the hotel, in the RED LOBSTER car park, or so it feels. Would we go there again.....Yes. I felt like a marathon swimmer 300 lengths before breakfast (don,t dive in, you will hit your head on the far side) Joking aside this is a v-nice place to stay. In April, 2001 I stayed at Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Orlando-Conv. Ctr/I-Drive Area. 45 days after stay, I received a billing of $350 on my charge card. My stay was thru West Gate package. It was setup with the condition that I would not go thru the sales pitch. I also paid extra to West Gate to avoid the sale. The only thing I paid for that was extra was the in room safe which I did not use. I paid for this at the desk. There was nothing said about additional charges.
