Just returned from apts los lomas, having read the reviews we were a bit worried and thought of changing hoiday but im glad we didnt. We experienced no problems at all.The apts are basic but clean and had everything required for self catering.Dont be put off by the appearance of the resturant it could do with a bit of modernising, the food was good and good value. As to the reports of the pool being freezing an over exageration once your in its fine, check out all the pools within the complex, great. If you have a young family or are young at heart look out for Daniel..infact you wont miss him,we did nothing but laugh everytime we were in his company he is in charge of entertainment and great with the kids give him a bit of support by going to one of his shows in the bar.We found all of the staff very friendly and helpfull.Shopping go out main enterance turn right go to top of road take a left and folloe road which wiil take you to Biosphere shopping centre, good shops and restaurants. For beach and main strip, out main exit turn left 1st right down hill.Lots of shops bars and restaurants, dont go to 1st eating place you see as there ar lots of choices,if you like chinese retautant at bottom of hill is great value especially the buffet. If you are not on a strict budget try out the yellow submarine tickets from the strip, dont book it through the apts to expensive a great experience.Olso the volcano trip is a must and should not be missed a great day out.Tons of things to do,great beaches restaurants and friendly bars.Dont miss it.

just returned from hols (stayed in room 418 basic standard studio)i was pleasantly impressed with these apartments and the complex it is very nicely set out.i woz a bit concerned especially after reading some of the reveiws (basically the people who wrote bad comments must be quite sad people or just hard to please) if you want 5 star then pay the money!! anyway as i always read reveiws to make sure i have the basics, thought i would give my verdict. the apartments are basic but you r on holiday so you should only be in them to sleep/shower etc.they r good enough for hols.
room is clean, i do agree the beds r rather hard and the studio rooms r quite small but your on holiday and should not be in them, but you have the basics a kettle, toaster, microwave,tv is free, shower hot,wot more do you want.4 pools loads of sunbeds and could get one when you wanted "need parasol as very open, bar open till late and not rip off prices ,very friendly reception, bar staff, pool staff, etc.
you r in between new town and old town, beach down "cardiac hill" but you get used to it however there is a short cut to old town - turn right out of apartments and follow down, great location .i have been to many apartments in this location and i have to say its one of the better ones and i most definetley would stay there again. and will be in october.
thanks atlantis las lomas tina f

These apartments are really nice for 3 star standard. Great swimming pools for the kids and there is no shortage of space for sunbeds. The location is good too only 3 mins walk down hill to the beach. We had a great holiday and got what we paid for.

After reading the reviews on this site I was a bit apprehensive but I need not have worried as myself and my partner had a great time staying here.
As the holiday was booked independently we got a taxi from the airport straight to the Atlantis Las Lomas which only took about 15 minutes and cost 15 euro's.
Check in was quick and easy with a very pleasant gentlemen on reception. We were put in room 420 which was at the very back of the complex and quite a way to walk with a big heavy suitcase and with quite a few steps (this didn't bother me though as I left the carrying to my partner).
The room was small and very basic but I fully expected this. The balcony was great though and had the sun on it all day right up to sunset.
The only couple of things I have to complain about are that the beds are the most uncomfiest things I have ever slept on, and the shower cubicle is really tiny and there was no where to put things like shampoo's. The water pressure wasn't great either but their was always hot water so I could deal with the trickle we sometimes had to cope with.
The safe was bolted to the bottom of the wardrobe and to use this we had to get instructions from the reception. I can't remember what the price is but I know it's very reasonable. We had trouble working the safe as some of the letters were missing on the typed instructions but I rang reception and someone was there 5 minutes later to go through this with us.
The biggest tip I can give you is if you like to have a full English breakfast then have it at Atlantis las Lomas. Its by far the cheapest place as your drinks are included and everywhere else the drinks are separate and this is where the restaurants make their money. On the first morning we ended up paying 3.50 for a small orange juice. This goes for all meals really as the prices for food looks great but drinks are expensive.
The beach is literally just at the bottom of the hill and the resort is the completely flat with all the restaurants and bars on one long strip. Cardiac Hill isn't as bad as it first looks and by the end of the holiday i hardly even noticed it.
This is the first review I have written but I do rely on them when booking my holidays so I hope this review helps you.

We came back from a weeks holiday at atlantis las lomas earier this morning - it was a nice complex with friendly and approachable staff.
We were first placed into a room which has a bit of damp, but as soon as this was mentioned to staff, they moved us to another apartment!!
The weather wasnt hot enough for us to use the pools looked clean and big. We were put in an apartment toom 107 which was near entrance, easy accsess to areas!!
If you are a young couple going away, it has ,lots of good bars and resturants, one of out fav's being REDZ! Also, not a long walk to the beach!! Would recommend!

Just arrived back yesterday from Lanzarote. Stayed at the Atlantis Los Lomas for 2 weeks. Could not fault it, and my family is intending to go back again probably next year. We were staying in apartment 436 which was at the rear of the complex on the upper floor. Not seen any evidence of any burgalries during our stay. My partner did lose a piece of underwear if that counts! Plenty of pools on site to keep everyone happy although they were cold but clean! Pools at the front of the complex were fresh water and a little bit deeper than the back pools in places.
4 pool tables of which 3 were outside and the other in the main bar. Internet access on 3 computers in reception, you get about 20 mins for 2 euros. Kids entertainer around all day although we did not stay to watch him that often.
Would recommend you take a playstation or xbo360 for the kids in the room as the tvs only give you about 6 channels of which 5 are not english. only sky news was available. The tv's have scart connections on the back of them. Our apartment was ok although the sofa bed we ended up sleeping on was not very comfortable.
Of the resort itself you could not fault it. Loads of places to eat and drink. There was 6 in our party and the average price of meal(inclding sweet) and drink for all of us was about 60 euros in total. We recommend Lanis about 10 mins from the apartment(turn left at the bottom of cardiac hill) or the La Fontana which was about half of the distance. Beach was great. They charge you 16 euros for a twin sunbed and parosol which we made full use of. Although there is paddle boat hire for about 15 euros for an hour. The sea was something else for shallow scuba diving as you can see all the different fish.
Some bad points about resort.
The waiters at some restaurants will pester you every night although friendly they get a bit tiring after 2 weeks.
Don't go to Mcdonalds unless you really want to. They had no coke with their meals. went on two occasions at the start of the holiday and towards the end and it was the same on both occasions. Plus it was quite grubby. Milkshakes had been spilt on the floor and although it wasnt too busy and there was three staff behind the counter nobody made an attempt to clean it up.
Dont be hassled into buying any watches or jewellery from the men on the street as half of their goods is damaged. My partner bought a watch after being hastled for about 10 mins. She then bought another for her nephew. Neither worked and the man disappeared from sight straight afterwards.
The only other downside to the holiday and the strip on the resort was that they were digging up all the roads right along so as a spectacle it was not a nice site especially during the day but I suppose it would needed to be done at some stage.
All in all though I would recommend Los Lomas apartments and Lanzarote to anyone. It was my first visit and as already mentioned it will not be my last.

Just arrived back from Atlantis Las Lomas. Went with my bf, his brother, sister and his sister's bf all of our ages ranging between 19 - 25. We were in room 505 in the Las Lomas section of the complex which was a bit of a trek up hills and steps but not unbearable - the steps actually were easier than the ramps. We were opposite the restaurant which was ok for what it was but not fantastic and the man who runs it doesn't speak very good English. The rest of the staff speak near perfect English and will go out of their way to be helpful.
We had a smallish pool outside out apartment which, like all the pools was kept spotlessly clean. Be warned though these pools are VERY VERY cold. The main pool is freshwater so keep your mouth shut when you jump in.
Our apartment was right at the back of the complex and after reading other reviews we were a bit concerned about that but we simply didn't leave anything in the apartment when we went out and we left all the lights on. The apartment was clean but it was basic and a bit worn but having said that while we were there there were men going round painting various parts of the complex. We did have a few cockroaches in the apartment (4 in two weeks I think) but they were easily gotten rid of. However there was a nest of them outside our bedroom window and the noise they made at night drove us mad. We complained to Reception about it and someone came within the hour to spray outside - it didn't totally stop the noise but made it bearable.
The entertainment left a bit to be desired. On a Monday and Thursday Lucan comes and does Karaoke and a name the tune game which gave free shots if you got the answers right - needless to say we had headaches in the morning but he is a really nice guy and a great laugh. Daniel one of the barman its ok but he can be a bit much to be honest he is very good and does the kids entertainment in the day as well, men will get roped into a bit of water basketball with him too, he is very hyperactive. He does a clown show once a week which the kids love but be warned straight afterwards he does a cocktail show which starts with a mini striptease. All in all make sure the kids are in bed before that starts. Then there is Russ the Legend - top bloke, we are starting a facebook group for him called RUSS THE LEGEND so make sure you join it and remember to tell Russ when you meet him that you heard from the Essex group that he is a legend!!!!
If you get the chance make sure you go to Rancho Texas - it is without a doubt the best day and night out in Lanzarote but DON'T book it through your rep. We paid 42euros at the park when we visited during the day and we got taxis to and from the wild west night which were about 5 euros each way so it is cheaper (plus the rep Martin is a bit of a plank). The ranch staff will arrange for cabs to take you back to your hotels afterwards. The entertainers are the regular staff/animal handlers from the park so they do work really hard. The beer and sangria really is free flowing just shout YEE HAW and you get a fresh jug. To be honest I could go on about Rancho Texas for hours I can't describe how good it was you just have to go and see for yourself.
I would go back to these apartments but my partner wouldn't simply due to Cardiac Hill - it is very steep but it is not very long at all but it is only suitable for able bodied people as any one with mobility problems just wouldn't make it.
All in all we had a fantastic time, the weather was great, the strip has got loads on it and like I said you have to go to the Wild West Night!

I was at first wary of this complex due to the problems id read about but me and my boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, the only major problem we had was one of the windows didnt shut properly when we first arrived but we soon sorted that out with a couple of shoves, the room was spacious and the whole complex was kept clean and we only saw 2 cockroaches on the whole holiday only one of which was in the complex.
Daniel (this resorts answer to a kids club) was a good laugh and kept all the kids occupied every day and entertained the kids and adults at night with his "clown" act.
The appartments were very well situated only up the hill from the new town and down the road from the old town, their were plenty of resteraunts (we particularly enjoyed Lani's grill which was down the hill and left),the complex bar was a good laugh and the bar tender had no concept of standard pub measures (there was almost more vodka than orange in my drinks).
The only other problem we had was one of the bulbs went in the living room but we told reception and a man came up to fix it within 10 minutes.
Only one word of warning during the welcome meeting a woman came trying to sell her discount cards which give you discounts at various places around the resort, this is probably only useful if theres more than 3 of you as not all the places in the booklet are very well situated so you wont get your moneys worth unless you can spend a lot in one sitting.

Just returned from a week here. After booking this holiday I read the reviews and couldn,t believe how bad it sounded. We never took many valuables on holiday with us and what we did take we carried around with us at all times. To be honest there was no sign of any problems with breakins when we were there. We had a great holiday as always in Puerto del Carmen. The apartments were a bit tired and not the cleanest we've stayed in but the pool area is superb. That was our 9th visit to the resort and will be back next year but wont be staying at these apartments.

After reading many bad reviews about theses apartments we were a bit worried who would'nt? but on arrival we were very suprised by the stunnning views of the apartments and pools, The rooms were basic but clean what else do you need? the pools were lovely as for the coments about pools being cold so is every other pool in lanzarote, when your skin is hot off the sun the pool is bound to feel cold. The staff were very friendly and helpfull, the pool bar was basic but it sold cold beer and nice snacks. The apartments are in a nice area very close to the shops bars and beach but the hill down to it is very steep (cardic hill) but also states this in the info so dont know why people can complain about that either!!!! Overall my family and i really enjoyed our stay and will defintly be going back one year. And as for the break inns as some people said on alfa rooms , there was bars on windows locks on doors and night sercrity guards on a night and we never felt unsafe at anytime. Maybe some peple should'nt get that drunk they forget to lock doors then they wont get broke into lol ,
Thankyou for a lovely holiday thats all i can say!!!!!!!!!!!!!
