Hyatt Regency Airport Hotel

Used this hotel as a pre-cruise night for RCCL Mariner of the Seas Octobe 9th. While I will state that the price of this hotel was more than some outside of the airport, it was worth it. We arrived at 2 p.m. and check in was quick and easy. Room was a balcony outside view. If we did his again, we would just get a regular room. The Hyatt Orlando Airport Hotel is a top of the line airport hotel. We arrived at approximately 10:30pm, grabbed our luggage and followed the signs to the Hyatt. The lobby has tasteful and elegant decor. The check-in staff were thorough and quick. The rooms were recently remodeled within the past 2 months. Granted we didn't go to Orlando for the usual Mouse fare. My husband had to go and look at a custom chopper he had built, and we were only going for the night. The last time we stayed at the downtown Westin Bohemian - beautiful hotel. But this time we just wanted to blow in and out of town as fast as possible. I got a rate of only 79 dollars for the Hyatt which we had seen from our first trip down in January. We thought - this place looks cool - it's RIGHT in the airport. We got in Friday night at 10:15. This is truely the one of the best airport hotels. The Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport is located inside the Orlando International Airport on the east side of the main terminal. The hotel floors (including the lobby) are all above the main airport floor so you dont have to worry about dealing with any of the hussle and bussle of the airport. We kept waiting for someone to knock on the door and tell us they made a mistake. We got this room for $70 on priceline.com. It was gorgeous. The room was elegant with a beautiful bathroom. The balcony overlooked the airport terminal which was fun to look down on. It was ideal for our early flight the next day. The staff was incredible. I stayed at this hotel after arriving in Orlando on an international flight that had been delayed. I sure was glad that there was a hotel IN the airport as I was too tired to collect my rental car and drive. The hotel is really easy to find - it is well signposted in the terminal - and the check-in staff were pleasant and polite. My room was nicely furnished - spotlessly clean and had a nice bathroom. What a hotel! This is a great place to stay. We stayed overnight after leaving Disney World and before our flight back home. This room was spacious and the lap of luxury. We requested a king with a pull out when I booked online. The room was ready when we checked in and the pool was great. Shopping at night in the airport shops was a big plus.

Thanks to Hurricane Jeanne, my flight out of Orlando was cancelled. I don't know what I would have done without the Hyatt Regency being available right there at the airport! We have stayed here once or twice before when we had an early morning flight to catch, other than the convenience, they did not make much of an impression either time, good or bad! All of that changed after Hurricane Charlie and Hurricane Frances! Stayed at the Hyatt Regency on 5/28/04 due to an early morning flight. I didn't know that a hotel WITHIN an airport exists, but there we were! An elevator ride away from the Orlando International Airport. The staff was very friendly. Many "Good-Mornings", "Hello's" and "How are you todays". Check in was pleasant and efficient. The room was a bit worn. We had a smoking room, and even as smokers, the odor of stale smoke hit us as soon as we opened the door.
